When recording a guitar in ableton, I’ve found it best to record on a separate track with monitor set to off, and have the track with my real-time effect set to in. This way there is zero latency on the recorded signal. Also the gain on the guitar input should be set to zero, this is something that has started to become widely known as a mistake many guitarists have been making with guitar sims and recording interfaces.
I have a problem with Scarlett 2i2 4th gen. I'm connecting guitars to it. If I select single chanel for input (1 or 2) the sound is distorted (like it's too much gain) if I select stereo input (1/2) the sound is ok. Is it something with the configuration or is the device broken?
