    mrbrysiu9960 - you deleted your comment. Comon man if you gonna be that rude in what you say best leave it up. Here is my reply to you.
    Haha, this is quite amusing! "It's more about" - but that's definitely not how I approach things. If you're inclined to go down that path,
    be my guest, or if you'd rather spend your time watching channels that follow that approach... feel free. If you believe that my words are nothing but
    mindless rambling and devoid of sense, well, that's entirely your perspective. Let's face it, one of us has a UA-cam
    channel, while the other does not. Oh, and by the way, you can't simply play someone's
    entire musical piece on UA-cam without any interruptions or commentary and expect it to qualify as "fair use." It must undergo a transformative process.

      The difference between you pausing and what other people do when they pause is night and day. You are explaining things, you are pointing out things that most people might not notice and if they do notice it, they feel validated in it. As to where some others, pause to just make a face. Love your reactions and insights!

      I always find it so dumb when people watch a reaction and expect no pauses and no commentary, like at that point just go watch the original. Putting that aside there's probably other channels who "react" in the way this person is expecting, so just go find one of those instead of criticizing people who are actually interested in understanding and analizing what they're watching.

      You are a fabulous reactor, don't listen to that hater! We're all here for your rhythmic expertise and interpretation of the composition! If you ever feel like you pause and rewind too much, just remember that a lot of us are going back and repeating your reactions just as often as you are stopping the video 😅
      Love how attentive you are while you listen, nothing slips past you.

      Not sure what the guy said, but I can infer from your response, and I'm confident in how transformative and informative your reaction + commentary is. What you said about not delving into loopstation artists (yet), and instead are focused on and fascinated with these beatboxers who have honed their craft with their voice alone, it gave me a new perspective I absolutely respect. Although I have a ton of love and appreciation for people like MB14, there really is something fascinating and admirable about how someone can create a cohesive piece of fantastic music with only their body. I most likely wouldn't have learned about these artists without your channel and the people supporting, so keep doing what you're doing, I love it!

    I love your pauses, I love your break downs, I love that you get hyped about rhythmic patterns instead of just getting hyped about unusual sounds... and I love that your excitement is sincere. You pause the video because you want to express how and why something excited you, I appreciate that.
    So many reaction channels are just people fake reacting.. half the time these idiots are like texting and shit while they react.. so then you know they aren't paying attention, but then they do the stank face on climactic parts to try and pretend like they are paying attention but it's fake reacting.

    I’m glad you’re sticking to regular beatbox for a while. Loopstation has so many effects now it’s more about live music production than beatboxing. I guess people suggest it because they happen at the same competitions, but they’ve become really separate things. (Although there are a few loopers who mostly stick to vocal technique and don’t use many effects.)

    • @Skyl3t0n
      @Skyl3t0n Рік тому +4

      The editing and overall structure does play a huge roll.
      But don't underestimate the technique behind those sounds.
      But yeah, with the new loopstation models a lot of things have changed.
      Even though a little part of beatboxing was lost, i think a lot more has been gained.
      Man the bangers they are able to produce on the spot, with just their voices is just incredible.
      Tony might even be more into it, since he has a musical background. Beatboxing can be a little dry at times, but with a loopstation you have no restrictions

    • @JaneFromMars
      @JaneFromMars Рік тому +4

      When he gets to looping, he’ll probably like MB14. Rarely uses effects, just reverb sometimes. All about the voice.

    • @YnEoS10
      @YnEoS10 Рік тому +2

      @@Skyl3t0n I mean it still takes technique to learn how to use the loopstation that well, but most of the beatbox technique is gone now, with a lot more sounds only being “vocal triggers” where none of the voice input is used in the output. I have trouble considering it “all voice” in these cases.
      I think it’s more difficult for general audiences to know what the looper is contributing and what the device is contributing if they don’t use it themselves. He mentioned he appreciates seeing the raw talent of the beatboxing and I think it’s harder to appreciate on recent loopstation stuff.
      In terms of more flexibility with composition and structure I think tag team and crews are a good way to see more complexity there with beatboxing/vocal technique.

    Hey Tony! Thanks for taking a look at more beatbox. There aren't too many beatbox reactors who add as much substance as you and the fairy voice mother do. As a fellow rhythmic connoisseur I'm very glad you're here enjoying the gold mine of musical and rhythmic innovation.
    When you're in the market for another exotic rhythmic experience: D-low vs Zekka - Final - SBX Kickback 2021 specifically D-lows rounds. I saw this two years ago and I'm still baffled and disgusted by what I witnessed.

    Show-go is a pioneer of the double voice its so clean and developed, if you wanna hear a different flavor of double voice i would recommend both ZVD or Colaps, as ZVD has a double voice thats inward instead of outward, and colaps i think uses a different outward technique but acheives a similar result pitched very differently.

    3:43, those fuzzy notes are vocal bass, alexinho and pwad are probably the best with tha. its a really nice sound when the vibration is done right (its done by vocalising a vibration between the uvula and tongue) as it is here with show go.
    by the way, that snare sound is really easy to do, its called a spit snare, you can do it by basically blowing raspberries while holding your lips really tightly together, if you put enough pressure into blowing the raspberries, it will push past your lips and create the snare sound.

    • @enmanuel1950
      @enmanuel1950 Рік тому +2

      I wouldn't say that the spit snare is easy to do, at least it's not easy to get it to sound like a proper clap, the pf and k snare are a lot easier to learn. Like anything in beatboxing, it varies from person to person , but I think most people spend at least a few months practicing before making their spit snare sound any good.

    beatboxers opened up a whole new world. using the body as an instrument, kind of creating a new language thats based on music.
    talking itself is close to music because we create sounds but finding endless new sounds and using them for musical compositions.
    it reminds me of stuff like throat singing or rituals where singing is involved.
    theyre creating new kinds of energies, bringing music to a more personal, body related level instead of needing something else than yourself.
    just bringing music closer to ourselves with endless possibilities

    to be fair, you don't need to learn every sound. Some of the top beatboxers don't know how to do every single sound (like some can't do certain basses, snares, liprolls, etc.) and they can still put out some beautiful music and great tournament preformances

  • @Jerry-jg6dv
    @Jerry-jg6dv 4 місяці тому

    3:00 - Hey Tony, like you've said, all beatboxers use some basic sounds, like kicks, hi-hats, basses and snares (boots and cats).
    In my opinion it doesn't really matter if you miscall some sound, if it sounds like a kick - call it a kick! If it sounds like a snare - call it a snare. Clicks are clicks and all bass sounds are just basses.
    As for more specific naming, you usually look at what seems/sounds to be the source of the sound or is it done inwards or outwards (breathing in or breathing out). I would say you're welcome to try and guess and we're all gonna be excited to see you use some of the names like:
    - outward tongue bass (made with the tongue, 1:24),
    - spit snare (sounds a bit like spitting, 1:32),
    - inward lip roll (rolls the corner of the mouth on inhale, 1:39) or
    - outward throat bass (sounds throaty, is a bass, on exhale, 1:40).
    - psh snare (made with the position for sound 'psh' but with more pressure, 4:04)
    As far as I know, sound naming in beatbox is mostly very fluid, so there's no point in paying too much attention to it, but, again, if you would like to try calling sounds by their names, just use this pattern:
    (outward/inward) - (source) - (letter/sound it resembles) kick/hi-hat/bass/snare/trumpet/etc.
    Calling a liproll an inward lip bass would be still pretty accurate, as it is done inward and involves lips, despite having its own name.
    Not all beatbox sounds' names are this straight forward, often they are also called by who invented/popularized it, like Slizzer roll, Villardo snare, Colaps Cymbal, D-Low zipper but again, no one expects from you to know all of beatbox history like that, so just call them according to the above pattern and it should be alright.
    If you want to know more, the closest to a beatbox dictionary would be this page www.beatboxer.ir/all-beatbox-sounds/ - you can refer to it if you wish to explore a bit more on the theory of beatbox.
    Love the beatbox reactions man, I'm super pumped every time I see a new one from you, keep them coming, we love recognition from musicians on our weird little niche music!
    Take it easy

    There are a TON of high level musically inclined beatboxers you'll find as you go through the community. There are maybe a dozen or so on an elite level above the rest of them. Show-Go is still an outlier in that group. His style lends itself so well to making music that is both complex and easy to listen to. Kind of unfair honestly. I've seen a few other people comment that he's D-low's favorite which is true. And if the guy whom a lot of people say is the best, looks up to you? You know you're killing the music. Nice reaction.

    Its going to be hard to impress you as much as this video, show-go is an absolute beast.
    You HAVE TO CHECKOUT zero.
    Zero is by far the best percussive beatboxer out there, helium is really close... but zero is the pinnacle, he literally has a drum kit in his mouth.
    More elite beatboxers who are rhythm focused would be footboxG, elisii, colaps.
    But you haven't went down the path of bass style beatboxers, which will blow your mind.
    Inertia, vocodah, improver, osis, remix...
    Remix is called a prodigy because he was excelling already at beatbox when he was only 16.
    Now days there is a new prodigy on the scene called Jolux, he is I think 15 and absolutely crazy.. not just his skill, but his composition choices are mature for his age.

    5:22 there's a simple solution to that: Instead of jumping into the deep end of loopers, start with MB14: he famously uses almost no added effects or sequences and just beatboxes and sings everything. Now after that you'll quickly appreciate other loopers who incorporate more and more things until you end up with guys like Inkie which basically sound like fully produced DJs and its hard to remember they actually start on a blank loop since they layer in so much and so quickly.

Really appreciate the insight as to what goes on during the music, its a lot of things i wouldnt really think to notice but i feel like i can appreciate the music i like even more, even if i dont pick up everything or know the correct phrasing. Anyway, you should totally listen to it if you havent already, and im always just impressed at how quickly you pick up in things and are able to dissect them

    don't even worry about the names of sounds too much, beatboxers are still figuring it out too. and people are always finding new sounds so it's a constant catch up game.

    Alright, I have 3 suggestions that are "must watches":
    - First we have a very classic and legendary battle between MB14 and Saro in GBB
    - Second we have the intense battle of Rhythmind vs Brez in GBB 2021
    - last but definitely not least, we have an amazing "real music sounding" loop song called "When I was young" wildcard (sorry, I forgot the name of the artist). For GBB 2023
    I hope you get the chance to react to all of these three. As a person who is apart of the beatbox community, I can say for certain that others will love to watch you react to these.

    Most of the times, expecially for complicated stuff like beatbox, its actually better to let the video go till the end for 1 time and then rewind and analyze. Makes it way more enjoyable for us and for you to listen to the song in full

    Hey. Im not gonna tell you how to enjoy music but i believe that you might lack to hear all the beauty if you don't listen to full piece at once (well, there are exepctions, but idk if you are one of them). Especially in this kind of routines. Maybe you can do one video in two phases to test it out? 1st listen and enjoy and then, for the 2nd time stop as much as you want and add your comments. I think you might become way more insightful this way. Lmk what you think about this idea. Cheers.
    Ps. if you are rhythym maniac check out more technical beatboxers like Alem(although you saw him already) Zero or Footboxg. Napom is more of a complete beatboxer and have groove that will hipnotize you. Have fun!
