Clashing is not "very dependent" on how good the MC is. Is all about how good the SELECTOR is. Bass Odyssey's dub box isn't "loaded" for tune for tune from the Bunny and Wally split years ago which is why they avoided tune for tune in 1998, for example, with Bodyguard in New Jersey. Trooper probably would get write awf true this is a FAR cry from Trooper circa 1997 when him did wicked pan Jaro.
I've played sound for 17 years and been to many a clash where the MC was a very integral part of a sound winning the clash. Talk to any sound man and they will tell you that. Why have an MC if, according to you, timing of the selection and and the choices are the only thing that matters? This video actually proves my point. You think this dub would have had the same impact if Matterhorn didn't have the dramatics surrounding the introduction of and while he was playing the tune? come on!

I was standing in the crowd and Matterhorn outclassed the other sounds on the mic. He's known as a clash MC don't forget. He did the smart thing and got Bass Oddesy out before tune fi tune because be knows their dub box is loaded. If Trooper was involved in this clash it very well may have gone a different way.

Timing (of the selection) and the actual musical choices impact a clash FAR more than what's said to introduce it, which is why Tony Screw survives. Clash is and always has been about *music*. Panther and Black Kat didn't have tune in the early 90s to compete so tried to focus on *talk*.
