Ugh! I miss my Chevy Silverado! I need this back in my life!
Just got one yesterday. I’m in love
Great review mate, love the way you punch through the details. 👍
I got one and it's a badass 2019
I love it very nice truck
Videos dont do it justice. You have to see one in person
i need this
They need to fix the gap between the grill and bumper. I know they won’t obviously, but it would look better if they fixed that
Thumbs up...... for Pearl Jam Radio playing.
Liked the truck!! Wished they use alum below the doors that's where they seem to rust out!!
If your rockers are aluminum it's a good way to ruin your door if you run out of ground clearance.
Truck people are interested in torque as much as HP. To not mention is a significant omission.
3:00 EXACTLY
Im waiting for a wrecked 6.2L pickup be a good swap to start from with 376 cubic inches
Sure is growing on me
I hate the fact that not even the LTZ has a full LED setup at the front, the turn signal is still halogen, the 2016-2018 ltz did have the same full led treatment as the high country’s
Oh boo hoo. Just cause it has 2 places that could be led means nothing. If for some reason thats important to you, there is high country.
@@andybub45 Hi Andy. I'm not sure it is as much a boo hoo as it is a why was not done?
The Sad note- The brand new 2019 Silverado-Sierra twins can NOT even be ordered or does NOT come with the “power brake and foot pedal” adjuster.... Think about such a large truck without this option....If you have short legs, you have to move up the seat close to the steering wheel, which has an airbag in it.
This is normally a pretty standard option for most trucks (GM, Ram, Ford)...Note-I actually own a 2017 Silverado, but some “bean counter” within GM axed this very useful feature (so they added rear vents finally but deleted the Power Pedal feature. Yah, this makes sense). Maybe a GM truck engineer will recommend removing the Power Window option while they’re removing other options or features.
GM added a better seating position which makes there be no need for power pedals
Powered tailgate, nice.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What's the color of is silverado.
I hate how none of these guys that do the truck reviews, on the 6.2L .. never talk about the gas Millage, which is why I’m here.
Oscar Rodriguez it has that 4 cylinder cutoff when you don’t have your foot in it. Drove a camaro ss With the 6.2l + 10 speed yesterday. When in v4 (freeway cruising it shuts off 4 cylinders) setting it was getting 35-40mpg.
Also it instantly and seamlessly goes back to the full 8 cylinders and hauls ass when you need to.
That was the most impressive engine/transmission I’ve ever driven, and I’ve driven both gen raptors, porsche gt3, bmw e92 m3, cummins, duramax, you name it.
That 6.2 and transmission is absolutely phenomenal. And I’m not a Chevy guy😂
I love how he thinks the ltz @ 55k is just middle of the road!
That's kind of what I was thinking. I always took the LT to be the middle of the road truck.
Eh he probably doesn't, that's just tactics that Salesmen use to make you think "yea middle of the road, I can afford that"
It's isn't middle of the road. The LT is middle of the road and the LT is two trims down. The LTZ is a step below the High Country.
These damn chevy trucks, how hard is it to get navigation in them.
@@rgman2858 my 2020 gmc at4 hd also has navi. But it also retails for 79k. You get an ltz z71 and no damn nav its an option.
56 thousand dollar truck and no navigation. Damn.
I need six seats so why do i have to buy a generic truck to get six seats
I still don’t like the push buttton start, 1 speed transfer case, and the ever increasing rear axle gear ratio
Lyle Bonney - lower trim levels use a standard key, the 2 speed transfer case is an option as is the taller rear gear ratio.
LTZ middle of the road?!🤔😳
6.2 requires premium fuel.
I saw where it is its recommended but not required or not rated for regular fuel.. read an article that GM says you don't need to run premium that the truck will operate on regular
@@rgman2858 how's your fuel mileage running regular vs premium. Mine dropped so I went back to premium
Roadbuster
Exactly.Do’t cheap out on the fuel. They suggest premium for a reason(s) economy and performance.
All these people that do reviews never talk about the bed length options. Seems to be the most overlooked topic on reviews. But they sure want to tell u about that touchscreen inside the truck and Bluetooth connections. And why would you want this truck? Pretty sure the crew cab he's showing has a 5.5ft bed. It seems like majority of truck owners on the road get that 5.5ft bed option....fuckin stupid
Could not agree with this comment more. You can't even get a crew cab 1500 with a 6.5 ft bed unless you special order it. It's ridiculous. The 1500 crew cabs are now marketed to people who want a truck but don't actually need a truck. At this point I don't see much point in even getting a 1500. For not much more you can get a 2500 crew cab with a 6.5 ft or 8 ft bed and have a much better truck.
don't want a column shifter, other than that nice truck
Box on wheels
Omg trail boss and the rst is not a ltz LTZ. Are the upper Chevy trucks not the middle of the road I can tell you don’t know nothing about trucks lmao
LTZ
Turbo 4 isn't going to last 120,000 miles
That turbo 4 isn't being sold to people who put more than 50k miles on their vehicles
I see another ignorant post about the longevity of the 4 cylinder turbo engine and someone saying something stupid about it won't last 120,000 miles. Nothing could be further from the truth.
@@bobhirdes6725, please explain why this turbo 4 can put out 310 hp and be worked like a V8 and last just as long. I really don't know.
The Internets I don’t give a shit if you want the 4 cylinder or a V8 engine. There isn’t a engine made today that won’t last 200,000 miles or more provided you do proper maintenance on the vehicle.
“ Dodge RAM “ ? Have you living under a rock ? RAM trucks became their own manufacturer and company way back in Oct 2010. Dodge has had no association with RAM trucks for nearly a decade.
Throw whatever name at it you want, it won't make it a better truck. Still garbage. Still a Dodge.
The exterior is dope but the interior is hella trash
I dont see anything wrong with it. Very functional and not a bunch of Ram bs
Ram bs?? That's funny, my ram blows the Chevy out of the water! I wouldn't even consider a Chevy with that cheap interior
@@jongeorgeson5084 alright. Well just you wait and see, Rams have terrible electronics. No way they will last to 100k! And dont forget their terrible transmission.
The only way they could sell the Ram was to put a fancy interior on it. Still the same ol garbage underneath.
First time watching your channel and already knew you were your typical uneducated youtuber with a high sub count when you said the "camaro inspired air intakes" Those are called air curtains and they are for aerodynamics and directing air into the wheel wells to reduce air resistance. But I continued to watch your video just because I wanted to count the mistakes and stupid statements. So next up was Dodge ram. Ram hasn't been under dodge for half a decade. The turbocharged I4 cost more than the base V6, hence why its not the base. I'll give a pass on the "trucklike column shifter" just because of how many people feel the need to firmly grasp a shaft everytime they get in their big manly truck, but its still immature none the less. The 6.2 does use premium fuel as a requirement, not a suggestion. It is the only engine in the class that does so. The 5.7 hemi is midgrade and the ecoboost only recommends premium if its going to be used for very heavy loads constantly. You completely skipped over DFM, I won't explain what it is, I'll leave the "reviewer" to go figure that out (wheres your press cheat sheet?). And when comparing all the trucks, did you just not know the Nissan Titan even exist? This isn't a crossover, where every brand under the sun has half a dozen, there are only 5 half ton trucks and you missed 1. I am not a fanboy of any truck, but I am not a fan of ignorance, and this was painful to watch.
You are so right. What about when he had to pull his phone out to google which engines came with the truck? And thanks for enlightening me on the fact that the 6.2L only uses premium, I had no idea and will definitely be a factor for me in my choice.
@@Xeyedjohn If you dont know what dfm is I would strongly suggest figuring out what it is, as it's what you want over the old afm
Sad interior. Can’t believe this is an all new truck. F150 looks so much better
F-150 is more cookie cutter than this. But we all know the real winner is the RAM, and I love me a good silverado.
Are you kidding? The fords all look like shit and aren't good in a working environment as a work truck.
Until your ecoboost blows up and the PLASTIC OIL PAN melts before your very eyes
"interior is nicer"
BLAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAA.....
sorry I'm done... Please that is sad, odd shapes, eye cancer at worst, cost cutting poor design at best
Eye cancer? I bet people suffering through a cancer diagnosis don't share your hyperbole.
@@ivanlowjones hyperbole is the internet - relax chief. I'd rather laugh at cancer than cry over who its taken in my family
@@decapitofamily3410
Did any of your family members get eye cancer from looking at a truck they weren't forced to purchase?
@@ivanlowjones Absolutely! immediate stage 4. Trucks this ugly should be banned!
@@decapitofamily3410 Agreed. Loved the previous gen Silverado. This fucking thing is an abomination. So fucking ugly, its like they had to try to design it like abosolute shit.
Looks great. This is my favorite trim level. Will be looking into one of these one day! Like a rock!
