i did this drone reistration a year ago, when i got the invoice for the payment i was already back in my country and the invoice is expired, i ended up buying a from a shop in philippines, when i went back to saudi i just hand carried it on my bag....ive been flying my drone without a permit in the mountains not in the city, and i also have 3 other drones and a helicopter that i ordered from aliexpress....
I wanna buy drone but I don't wanna fly it inside of saudi so do I need a license still??? Plus both drone is under 250g. Neo is 135g and the mini 4 pro is 249g... plz help
There’s no way to buy a drone in Saudi, so, you have to order from a vendor outside the country, which means the drone will pass through customs. Regardless of the size of the drone, customs will request for the drone permit before the drone is allowed into the country. You do not need to get the license since you won’t be flying within the country but you have to get the permit. Better still, send the drone to the country where you will be flying it if you have someone there to receive it.
@maestroakp I go to Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines & Malaysia most of those countries don't need a permit to fly drones. Speaking of bring a drone to SA I'll through BH 🇧🇭 bridge any have done it in the past.
Hi. Thanks for sharing. But Im curious why you registered the drone while the drone is not more than 250g? Likewise, if I buy a drone like DJI Neo in other country and bring it when I go to Saudi is it still illegal?
I had to register the drone because I ordered it from a different country. Therefore, it requires clearance to pass through customs, irregardless of the size. You need to register your drone before bringing it into the country to avoid risk of confiscation, or other penalties, at the airport.
i dont want to fly drone in saudia arabia i am just travelling from UK to saudia arabia and i have stay in saudia arabia for 3 days after that i will be travelling back to my country???
First, you need to be aware that only Saudi residents, i.e., those who have an Iqama (residence permit), can own or fly a drone in Saudi. If you have that, then you need to register your drone on the GACA website using your resident ID, get the certificate & the permit, and make sure you have those documents in hand when entering into the country with the drone in order for it not to get confiscated, or worse. I have left a link to the GACA website in description. You can check out all the requirements there.
@@maestroakp:Sir i dont have residence permit for Saudia Arabia .I am just travelling from UK to Saudia Arabia for just 3 days and after that i will be going to Pakistan for holidays.I usually take my drone 249g with me where i go.I have no intend to fly drone in Saudia Arabia.I am just carrying with me to Pakistan??.Kindly tell what should i do???
@@umerghazanfar if you are caught with a drone, without a permit in Saudi Arabia, your drone will be seized. My advice will be to leave the drone behind, but if you have some way of carrying the drone without it getting detected, then, by all means go ahead.

Nice! I am planning to travel in Saudi Arabia. It is legal to play drone and bring into there?
Or under 250g is ok?
It’s legal as long as you get all the necessary permits before bringing the drone
How much did the drone cost you?
@@Great_Asorock $765, but that’s not the fixed price on the app
