John is an Australian legend. He has been singing since the late 60s. I saw a concert he did in 2019 and he is still singing as beautifully as he always has. Anything live by John shows his connection with his audience and what a lovely funny person he is. Thanks for the reaction.
Taken a Beatles classic and made it his own. John has such a phenomenal. He has such a great connection with the fans. John was asked to be the frontman for Queen when Freddie passed away. John has so many great songs for you to discover. Live performances are the way to go with John. Not saying the videos aren't good but he is just amazing live and you see his wonderful personality shine through. John can sing anything and I love Gethesman from Jesus Christ Superstar is just stunning show casing his musical theatre background. Amazing Grace is wonderful with his two very talented backing singers. This song was at the end of a 2 hour plus concert still has the power and control. John is 73 now and home recovering from an operation he had in August for mouth cancer.Long road to recovery but his fans are supporting and loving on his long journey. Thanks for your wonderful reaction. 🇬🇧

It's always lovely to see new people listening to our Legendary John Farnham. People from all around the world are now listening to John and discovering just how awesome he is, how beautiful his voice is and how lovely he is. ☮️❤️🦘🇦🇺
The concert went for nearly 2.5 has that song was the last one it was the second encore the concert finished at 12.45 am in the morning and outside was pouring rain
It wasn't the last one (song) for that particular concert. He came out again for another encore after this to sing Sadie and It's a Long Way to the Top. John was known to mix things up between nights.
This song is very special to John. It saved him and his family. He started as a pop idol around 1966 / 67..... but bad management had him singing the wrong songs..... loved by little kiddies and grandparents, but ridiculed by the rock and pop scene. He broke away from that rubbish and did many years in musical theatre..... where he learnt to use his voice as an instrument, to tell a story. His theatre career led him to the role of Jesus in an Aussie production of Jesus Christ Superstar..... so successful he then performed the same role on Broadway, NY. Listen to any of the Gethsemene videos.... there are at least 3 of them on utube....I prefer the version with Jon Stevens as Judas. Or..... try any other video from this concert, with the MSO. The AC/DC cover of Long Way to the Top is a classic as is the audio of his warm up and sound check song..... Black Dog by Led Zeplin. lol
Brilliant guys, I am so happy that good people, as yourselves, so far across the waters from myself are appreciating John and his wonderful vocal talent. God Bless you both!
You have to compare John's version of this song which was written and performed by the Beatles. It is told that John Lennon (Beatles) described John's version as better than the Beatles. Now that is something else.
@@nonacee5065 yes your right John Farnham does have many more songs that are loved by many Australians so react to them. Leave the ones that have already been done!!!
Some of these people in their 20s and 30s haven't heard of the Beatles. Yes, I know, hard to believe. I grew up on my parent's songs just as much as my own but that is the way it seems to be going. I have come across it in reactions before. Some haven't heard of The Seekers either. I find it hard to believe, but it explains why they think it is his song.
This is the best ever cover of this great Beatles song.

Contrary to popular belief, Help wasn't the end of that concert. There was another encore after this one with Sadie and It's a Long Way to the Top.

Good words
❤
You should listen to him sing Amazing Grace with his backing singers Venetta Fields and Lindsay Field 😀
Would love to see you both react to John Farnham and Olivia Newton John singing "Please Don't Ask Me" live in concert 1998.
👍
This reaction has been done to death.
Never tire of it, but then he's got so many other good songs.

I don’t think you get it. They’re not his lyrics. Its a Beatles song re done in a slower more emotional manner.
