Pile 5 - It was during my study abroad. I went on a city trip to another country. While I was sitting inside a cafe, watching people outside, he catched my attention. A few seconds later, he looked at me and at first I thought he was looking at tinted glass but I somehow knew that he would walk in and introduce himself. And that was what happend. He walked in, waited a bit (which caused me to doubt my initial thought) and then started a conversation with me. Apparently he lived in the same city as where I was studying abroad. We met up several times but after some time I blocked him on everything for two years. I don't remember the exact reason but it was mainly fear (insecurities, age gap, different countries/cultures). Half year ago, I unblocked him and a few days later he sent me a message that he was back in the city where we met, with a picture of where he was standing back then when he first saw me. I was surprised and of course we had some arguments, as to why I ghosted him. We had again no contact until New Years Eve, I decided to contact him. We called and it was such a relieve to finally have an open conversatiom from both sides. Then again a month passed with silence, I guess both of us needed some time to progress our POVs. Until, the day I was boarding for an airplane to the city where he lives, and he sent me a message. I never told him I would go to his city but after his message we decided to meet up after 2,5 years and I am so grateful I did go and meet him. This happend just before both our countries closed borders because of the current situation. I am still unsure whether he is my soulmate or anything, as I do not like such labels but I am sure that we have learned a lot from (and of) each other during this whole period.
