I don't know Steve, and I have never met the man, but thanks to Smith & Smith and The Red Green Show, I feel like he's an uncle that I just never got to meet. I have a few Red Greens in my family. I have also discovered that since I've gotten older, I've morphed into a Red Green myself.
Hard to believe when Steve Smith started this show,he was 46 years old. He was 61 when it ended 300 episodes later. He is now 75 years old, time flies when your having fun. Keep your stick on the ice.
Glad you found it. I grew up on this show. Dumb, simple and hilarious. I'll never forget the Man's Prayer. I am a man, But I can change, If I have to... ....I guess.
Grew up watching this on PBS in the 90's. This and Red Dwarf were key to this middle school girl. I miss when watching "foreign" shows counted as peak edgy 😂
I had to stay up late to catch this on tv in denver growing up. There's so much of this show that permanently changed the way i think. Thanks to all the boyz who made this happen.
@Mr. Big this is the "original" ref green show.....episode 2!! Only one before this one.....lol. I gotta look into the Smith and Smith show you mentioned
This show is still fucking hilarious. Glad I decided to rewatch it from the beginning after all these years. Bill tobogganing straight into the van is absolutely amazing. Woke my wife up laughing.
Amazing how several of their funniest quoted lines began in season 1, lasting the entire series. Great writers w/ vision. I'm sure they hoped for 15+ seasons, but so few shows get past 5. Look at what a loyal fan base they have. Our lives are better being reminded of life nuggets w/ sarcastic humor.
Even in the 2nd episode one can see the talent and even though rough, the characters are well done. Possibly the finest television Canada ever produced. One thing I liked especially was the Canadian sense of humor. Able to make fun of Canada and the U.S. equally and be riotously funny without insult or even in spite of insult....it was done so well.....so well.
The start of a beautiful relationship. Who knew! You have made so many of your fans happy , you've helped us through hard times. Can't thank you enough. We wish you all the best on your next adventure.
This was one of my favorite non-cartoon TV shows when I was a kid. I'm so happy there's a UA-cam channel with all 300 episodes. I'm one happy Canadian 😄!
I really love this, as a child we didn’t have much supervision, the important thing I was told, don’t let the grain I loved to play with near fire, or the entire town would explode.
Love the chain saws. Canada is a great place. I’ve only been there over 100 times. Favorite place is Niagara-on the Lake. If you have enough Loonies, go to The Prince of Wales Hotel. The Niagara Peninsula is one of the great wine regions in the world and I am from Sonoma County, CA. Give it a try.
Even those toy COX planes and land stuff, gave the kick start to kids who are now accomplished engineers, business owners and such. I had some of those, (Plane, 3 wheel chopper, and a jeep), when it was about the time we put a man on the moon, and life was like,---"Go for your dreams son!!!".
And now most kids don't know how to use a hammer. Hell, most adults don't. We grew up w/COX, or slot cars (ya hadda maintain those), building models, learning to fix your bike which would lead to fixing your own car. As cars have become less owner serviceable, I see less and less model kits in toy departments. I strongly believe theire's a direct correlation.
It was Electronics, for me. I built a radio from a kit on my eighth birthday. A few weeks after my 2oth, I tested out of a three year Engineering course, in the Army. I was 17, for the Moon landing.
I've watched every episode so many times that I've lost track. I have it playing on my computer all day so I can at least hear it and get a laugh. I love Steve Smith. I saw him on his last tour. Perfection.
Ive watched this show since 1994 with my grandfather and while eating lunch at home. I vividly remember watching Sesame Street, my mom coming down with some pea soup and crackers for me. The best part of the day, Red Green is on! I was planning on getting my grandfather some tickets to your last show, unfortunately he got sick and needed to get a few surgeries. Even after a heart surgery he was right back to work (handyman). His last week or two at the hospital was the first time my entire life i seen him not doing anything. Its been two years in June, the thing im the most mad about is that I wasn’t able to attend your last event with him as his last as well. So glad to have had your show in my life and turned me into the lazy duct taping handyman i am today. Thank you for giving my grandfather and i lots of bonding time watching this show and working with him until I graduated highschool.
debbie here, wow how young red is here..oh my,,time flys,,they say my hubbie looks like you red,,and i can see it too..flannel shirts, suspenders, hat ,,beard..haha love your humor
thank God n god bless from a transplanted texan one of the very few thing i miss about the northwoods of duluth on a saturday night and hour of red and a bottle of johnny red made a great way to kill some long af winters
I have actually used the drill trick with wiring many times. Only I clamp the ends of the wire in the vise first. Then I chuck the other end into my cordless drill and pull my wire out straight and hold a bit of tension on it. Slowly run the drill and let it twist up. You get a nice uniform "cable" that covers up nicely with loom or wire wrap and also threads into frames and between places super easily. Worked at a place installing drive by wire systems for handicapped people and this was taught to me by the shop owner. So, not as crazy an idea as it seems.
Oh my God when I started watching red green on PBS he did not look this young I am going to get all these older episodes I'm so excited. I LOVE RED GREEN❤❤AND THE CREW❤
If I did not remember the Red Green show from the 90's in Michigan, I would not be here now finding them again. I see lots of vids will keep me busy for a while. I missed these new ones though on TV back in the day. My favorite. Making a Hummer from 2 cars with duct tape, and driving it away.
The show definitely improved as it went on and his voice is sounds like it has some audio difficulty hilarious show just a mere 29 years ago we are but a vapor
My dad and siblings and I would sit down and watch this as a special treat. I was delighted to fnd this here and for some reason can't stop laughing.... 🤔
Hey, since when are flame throwers illegal!?!?!?!?! I love the way performers just show up on the show to do recurring characters. It's not like they got a lot of money. I guess they came for the joy.
I swear my ex's brother was just like Bill, and looked an awful lot like him... every time I watch this show always wonder if they were related lol.... thanks for putting these up totally love this show and been missing it :)

I use to watch this show before school every day in grade school it's always been a treasure
I remember watching this show on pbs back in the 90's

Or if you live here in Florida, keep your ski on the water.
The show ran for 15 years and rerun 14. Probably another 20 to go. I hope they all get residuals.
@@DannyB-cs9vx I'm not quite sure anyone wants residuals from Possum Lake.
Don't make it about us, guys.
Never seen this show before now. What a hidden gem.
It was big in Canada. I remember watching it on TV with my poppy. I can still smell the beer and cod fish cooking.
Glad you found it. I grew up on this show. Dumb, simple and hilarious.
I'll never forget the Man's Prayer.

Lived in Maine and used to watch this show on PBS at 5:30 PM on Saturday nights. Glad to find in on you tube!
"Just Say No to Toads" has always been my favorite of the campfire songs.
WOW!! Red and Harold were YOUNG. (So was I, once). It was good, but it got even better over time. Red sounds different.
For sure the first season is okay but it really took off after a little while
@Mr. Big this is the "original" ref green show.....episode 2!! Only one before this one.....lol. I gotta look into the Smith and Smith show you mentioned
Back when when us Canadians embraced our quirkiness. Always been a favorite of mine.
Always good harmless humor. I wish more shows were like that.
The problem is... There's no humor without some inappropriate content, the peple in this show are lovely talented, yet on a low budget.
This show is still fucking hilarious. Glad I decided to rewatch it from the beginning after all these years. Bill tobogganing straight into the van is absolutely amazing. Woke my wife up laughing.
I'm a woman who's hubby used to watch this faithfully, I came to love it too! It's a generational thing!!😎😎
This show is awesome and I’m glad I am binge watching it again

I MISS THIS SHOW I HAD A GREAT CHILDOOD WITH THIS SHOW
Been watching this show since I was 4 years old. I’m 21 now. Time sure flies by when you’re laughing
I’m 24 and I also grew up watching this show 😊
I love how Harold tells him off for not talking about 'modern' stuff, yet the stuff Red talks about somehow becomes kinda more timeless.
Interesting observation. May be it is along the lines of "trendy" vs "reality".
The start of a beautiful relationship. Who knew! You have made so many of your fans happy , you've helped us through hard times. Can't thank you enough. We wish you all the best on your next adventure.
Way down here in mississipp seen this show on PBS. Then lost track of it. Bv¹¹
But I love it and thanks to you tube I can watch it again. Love it best show ever.
i am happy to say i'm 22 and am not ashamed to watch this
so glad i found this show agin been 15 years
I watched this on the local PBS channel with my dad when l was an undergraduate back in the 90's. Good times.
Steve was/is a true comedian of the first rank. Love this stuff.
That drill hit with the sledge was one of the most manly hits i have seen.

A wonderful part of my childhood out of SLC, UT. Steve I adore you man.

Wow, it's amazing how young Red looks in this episode compared to later seasons. Harold, on the other hand, has not changed a bit. XD
That's what I was thinking 🤔
Red...: "This is a lot of fun because you can't see what you're going to hit."

Greetings from the USA! The Red Green Show never was very popular in this country, so it is extremely difficult to access. Thanks for uploading!
'twas very popular indeed here in the midwest. It was on every Thursday and Saturday here in Central Illinois for a long time.
We're more than happy to share our awesomeness!
Be great if you shared a little more of your Netflix library tho ;)
'Twas indeed a popular show, carried by many PBS stations. Everybody knows Red Green!
That Crazy Guy Tim- That's ironic. Then again it's the same as David Hasselhoff being somewhat of a joke here, but huge in Germany.

I loved Red Dwarf.
I'm going to like and comment on all of the red green episodes. This makes like and comment number 2

I hate it when people try to steal our Canadian quotes. Just like Corner Gas: Staycation was coined by Brent Butt.
