I bought my daughter a bunch of old magazines at a thrift store today because she wants to try this after seeing your tiktok videos. Thanks for the tutorial!
15:42 I usually put my pieces down on paper without gluing them then take a picture. Lasts longer digitally and I can reuse pieces. And if I do want to frame I can just add glue. 🤷♂️
I love your insta account! I followed you for like two days before I went to the thrift store to get some books to collage with. I'm a UX Designer, so my job is fairly creative, but collaging unlocks this childlike wonder that feels so freeing! Thank you for sharing your process and your art with us!
Aww thank you SO much! I'm so glad to hear you started collaging! I'm a graphic designer during the day so I totally understand the need to have another creative outlet, and I LOVE that collage is such a physical activity. Happy collaging :)
I like it. My mind would of positioned the hand catching the cow through the rainbow. Because the cow is different, my mind says it's the cow that jumped over the moon. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hello, Rosie! Thank you for the detailed tutorial! I had already begun collage before finding your channel, but found this video helpful for filling in the blanks! I use UHU Blue glue stick (it dries clear) because I am able to see spots that are missing glue. You DO have a few seconds to shift the papers around, with UHU. I wasn’t sure about when to glue down the completed collage, though. I liked yours when you had it on the paper prior to gluing because there was a nice, white border. I’m not nearly as good as you, with the knife, though. Do you have any tips for that?? Thanks so much!
Thanks for sharing this process and showing how you glue the complete collage to the card stock. Do you do anything to the front of the collage to ensure it all stays intact or is gluing each piece enough.
Great question! If I'm just going to post on social media I just take a picture with my phone and do some light editing usually just to brighten it up. If I need a high res version I scan it in with a cheap scanner. I have an Epson Perfection V39, but honestly any scanner would work!
program dropped post. just want you to know that the curve name of website had nothing to do with what we're talking about... but then I think the name of the site is about curves... hand curve being a parabolic curve plastered into a setting familiar to ellipcal curves
So, the hand is really not the same as it looks in real life. It's a different perspective on a collage. When you put something like a hand that connects space, it really kind of looks like a bigger more dimensional living thing than say the say the shark. The two are similar in shape, but the hand has so many higher dimensions that combine onto the shape by way of each finger, each creepy finger.
It took a moment to look at that hand because it is not coming top to bottom like most biological organisms. It comes top and side and rotated top down onto bottom and more bottom and more bottom.
There a many creepy possibilities for hands and fingers that all give the anatomy its strength. Manual dexterity is the ability of a hand to handle and work with multiple different geometries and dimensions. Strange that the hand is simply a parabolic geometry, but the dexterity of the hand is geometrically similar to an eliptic object. (parabolic geometry living in eliptic graphics!)
I realy love your vidéos and creations ! Could you please make a vidéo with cut jewelry ? I have so many of them:) (cut) Thanks a lot! You are my source of inspiration :)
As soon as you put the hand in the downward position, I immediately thought of those arcade games with the claw that grabs onto a toy!

OH WOW! You have no idea how happy that makes me!! Tell her I said Happy collaging!
The extreme joy of being with you is multiplied by the extensions of the hand.
As a newbie to collage I really appreciate this!
Very cool, Rosie! You know it could be interpreted that the hand is placing the cow on the ranch..a gift!
Love this! I started collaging after I saw one of your TikTok! I feel like I have found my thing. Thank you!!
omg I LOVE this so much. This is exactly what I want to hear :) Happy collaging!

I just like the way how you calmy describe your process. Thank you!!

I like it. My mind would of positioned the hand catching the cow through the rainbow. Because the cow is different, my mind says it's the cow that jumped over the moon. Thanks for the inspiration.
You do such an amazing job sharing your creative process. Thank you. I am looking forward to sharing with my high school students
My first thought with cow picture is if hand were picking up glass of milk. I love your collages! So creative.
I love how your mind works. Your way of reconstructing the world. That hand is great.

Oh yay! I hope you give it a try. It's such a fun hobby!
Gifted recombination and simply fun. A great world to explore!!
Do you ever add any kind of topcoat to protect it? How do you display them?
I'm here from tiktok, love your collage and thought process.
Aww thank you! Hi and welcome!
Thanks for sharing this process and showing how you glue the complete collage to the card stock. Do you do anything to the front of the collage to ensure it all stays intact or is gluing each piece enough.
This is cool. =) Enjoyed seeing your process.
Can you please show us how and where you store any of your loose un used clippings. Maybe a video using only images clipped already?
Thank you! Very helpful to see and hear your process. Really appreciate this....
Hi Rosie...do you seal your projects with modge podge?
That hand pulling the whale shark is absolutely rivetting.
Good morning, Rosie!
So creative!
Great Job! Very Talented!❤️
Amazing. Tnx

Aww thank you so much!! I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed it :)

The cow is a cool afterthought to a hand traispsing the canyon
power of the politic
Ingenious!!! 💕💕💕😊😊😊🐄🐄🐄👏👏👏
Thank you
Love your work !!
Hi there, how do you get the clean photo of the finish product at the end? Do you scan the collage? If so, what do you use to scan it?

@@eastofhoney thanks for your reply! I love your work, please don’t stop making them :)
New obsession
Woohoo! Welcome to collage town
@@eastofhoney I've already made two collages!!
👏👏👏👏LOVE IT!!!💜💜💜💜💜
intresting. Love it
pick out what you like, and put it together with or without background, a bunch or a little, funny or cute.
where can i get the magazine for the material?
So, the idea I am trying to learn is how to decide the pics and images, but to hold the whole idea together is like jumping out of the project.
program dropped post. just want you to know that the curve name of website had nothing to do with what we're talking about... but then I think the name of the site is about curves... hand curve being a parabolic curve plastered into a setting familiar to ellipcal curves
I get that.... I do not think in terms of logistics because I am lost in space and lost at sea.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😊
taking you outside.
Why is the cow high?
I always skip the first step in projects. Good idea to have a medium to browse.
Like, what the heck is my site about?
No, No, I am the Black Mamba!
I have trouble getting inspired with my projects.
Maybe, I should try reaching out to other people's work on the subjects for my project.
Breaker, Breaker
I am the shark.... John Lennon..... I am the shark.... Paul McCartney.... I am the shark.... Ringo Star.... Walrus!
But the whole curve thing is about the whale.
I get it. The hand is pretty abnormal. Sharks are pretty abnormal.
Why not try equating the hand to life with some animals?

pause....
Creepy
