My grandma passed the other day, she was everything to me and i cared for her for the last 4 years. Its a new chapter for me now. Ive been struggling like never before these passed 4 years and i hope to be more matured so i can support myself better in the future if ever faced with a similar situation
Sole carer of much older terminally ill spouse. Not sure if it's getting harder as things progress or I'm getting tired . Some of both maybe. Living remote so I feel good to communicate with someone who's walked a similar path . Plus it's now winter, I woke up to 8 inches of snow and he hasn't been able to be alone so I'm stressing a bit. Praying this gets figured out. I know I'm tired because I wouldn't feel so cold cocked by this situation. No home health care out here and I'm not finding people to hire for helping me to watch him or move him OR to plow! ☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️
@dianneskidds8229 oh dear that is rough thankfully we could utilize home health. I didn't have alot of help besides that as her kids didn't help or anything and I got hospice involved for her last 5 days and was able to get her to a facility just in time she never wanted to go anywhere so it was a blessing she was only there less than 24 hours and I didn't have to worry about making the arrangements from my home. It's important to care for yourself as much as you can and take the time to recharge your own batteries too. Prayers for your grace, strength comfort and support. Just keep praying, God will provide you with all you need when you need it

Best friend from childhood back in my life past 5 years after not being in my life for 25 years. But same scenario happing over and over and that my life is totally spiritual and hers is always involved in alcohol, drugs and anger. Repeat stories of her frustration but I always remain happy where she is mad cus I mention to her that she needs to see her life from a better angle. Yes my step daughter I raised for 14yrs had always struggled with her bio mom not wanting to be in her life as a “mother” but more as a friend so her rebellious persona had been out for sometime and it has always linked with running away after boys or doing some sort of thing to inflict pain and damage towards her father with guidance from her mother and out of her our anger. It’s not the first time she has done this in all these yrs but it was the first time she claimed sexual abuse from her dad when in turn her mothers husband of 10yrs in the end was the abuser and it’s now known THANK GOD because my husband and I have 3 other children and they never experienced any trauma of anything just immense love with limitations because my step- daughter played victim always regardless of me knowing she was always lying but she always got her way and treated the best! I always just stayed quiet because why try to continue to express my frustration to my spouse if she had him so wrapped into her being the victim?! I just tried to focus on always being fair no matter the pain because in the end God will always take care of me and mine. What hurt is this time was her mom came and made a false report placing my husband behind bars for him to lose primary custody and the state allowed my step child to leave with her KNOWING on a Divorce decree in place literally states “the child is NOT to live or visit with mom with men present unless married” and her mother is NOT married right now and regardless of that specific detail they still let her go so my hands were tied and I had to let her go! This killed me and my family! 14yrs is a long time and my husband is a veteran now so imagine 2 weeks and this case is now close tells you her dates matched her moms visitation times and the dates on our end where when my husband was gone on deployments or missions so imagine how hard it was to sit through all of it on top of her mother starting this mess and not being present for any of it. I observed and just kept my mouth shut to let God handle it all! In the end the truth was said by my step child but she still left with no emotion towards any of us with zero compassion from any of us until her mom got here and took her. I haven’t heard from her since and she has removed us from everything claiming we withheld her from her mom not wanting to understand the law did and we just tried to protect her from harm she ended up going through with her own mother since she was literally 6yrs old NEVER SAYING A WORD NOR SHOWING SIGNS OF TRAUMA! This was so hard on us all but my peace is God and he is with us more than ever keeping us together as a family, clearing my husbands name, and making all these people realize we did the upmost even by putting her first as sad as that is allllllllllll these yrs!
You are exactly correct and I resonate so much to this because she is 17 and a junior suppose to be senior finishing highschool! Her mom will realize the daughter she has but the again she has coached her all these yrs to be the way she is and it just makes so much sense now and I am forever thankful to the divine for helping me realize I didn’t fail this child as a mother she failed herself with her choices making her bed that now she will have to lay on alone as a young adult paying her own consequences.
