- Two side-scrolling platformer action games titled Jurassic Park were released, one on the Mega Drive/Genesis and the other on the Game Gear and Sega Master System.
The Mega Drive/Genesis game, developed by BlueSky Software, can be played in two modes, either as Dr. Alan Grant or as a Velociraptor. Playing as each provides the user with an alternative story and different levels.
The Sega Master System and Game Gear versions, developed in Japan, differed from the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis version; they contain driving sequences using a jeep, as well as side-scrolling, platforming levels with Grant as the only playable character. Mean Machines magazine gave the Game Gear version a rating of 35 out of 100 and criticized the game for a lack of levels and variety, as well as, "Awful sampled roars and instantly forgettable music."
Finally someone that knows the right order of the stages lol
This game felt so much longer when I was a kid 😅
Although I guess it couldn't be too long as there was no save function!
