    I hope they continue to start dubon and singleton on the regular

    So glad Jose Abreu never touched a bat tonight! Singleton is miles more motivated to play to his best ability. Abreu is in retirement collection mode. He’s not an Astro.

      Jose Abreu = Mr Automatic out! That guy has no business playing in any game whatsoever! He’s not even good enough to play for a high school team, never mind a professional team! It’s not right for him to handicap the team like that all the time! He is the most overpaid loser any team has ever signed in a professional sport history! That’s how bad he is!

      No soporto Abreu, era mejor haber dejado Yuli Gurriel y habernos ahorrado ese dinero por Abreu. Cuando el no juega las cosas salen bien para los Astros.

    Nice! On another note, pitchers have Pena scouted to a T! Chases those outside breaking balls more times than not!

    Peña and Myers need to do 20 pushups Willie Mays Hayes style every time they swing at sliders 8 inches off the freaking plate. 0 baseball IQ.

      @imnotcreativeenoughh 2 місяці тому +2

      You know what's wild? Peña is striking out at an extremely low rate, but his chase rate is NINTH percentile 😂
      It's definitely not baseball iq, just pitch recognition.

      @@imnotcreativeenoughh yeah, I say baseball IQ because Peña has to know that's how pitchers with a slider are gonna attack him. If he doesn't know that somebody needs to tell him. He looked awful in the 3 strikeouts last night.

    I don't understand why Trey Cabbage is playing and Joey Lope isn't, does anyone know why?

    • @imnotcreativeenoughh
      @imnotcreativeenoughh 2 місяці тому +5

      Player development, service time manipulation, aaaand also Loperfido isn't on the team rn, he's in AAA. Personally I'd have Loperfido up and Cabbage down. But I'll explain it in depth for you why they're doing what they're doing:
      Cabbage is older, and has more service time, which means they're going to try to see what he's capable of right now, where Loperfido has played like 10 games and is younger. They have time to wait on him. Develop him in the minors with every day ABs instead of playing a handful of games with Tucker getting hurt or giving someone a day off. Loperfido has a big problem with strikeouts, no matter how well he's hit, and strikeouts are a big no-no for the Astros (shocking, I know, given today's philosophy of "strikeouts don't matter") so they're trying to get Loperfido to play every day and keep working on improving that aspect of his game.
      MLB is so much more complicated than video games or fantasy baseball makes it seem. There's a ton of behind the scenes stuff that fans have no idea about, and that includes my own personal superficial knowledge.

    Hader debía tener otro lanzamiento, un cambio por ejemplo, con esa velocidad un cambio sería mortal para los bateadores, estos se sientan a esperar la recta y la devuelven por encima de la verga, la lanza a 98 y se la devuelven a 106

    Pressly 2 for 2 in save opportunities.
    .... gosh it's almost like he's a good closer or something and you never needed to blow a massive load for Hader 🙄

    • @Wikikiman
      @Wikikiman 2 місяці тому +1

      Didn’t you see Presley blow his own load all over the Astros lead two games ago? We needed a consistent closer like Hader but we also needed another closer to replace Presley and a mid reliever to replace shit Montero. You’re probably right though. Blowing the bank on Hader was probably not value for money.

    • @imnotcreativeenoughh
      @imnotcreativeenoughh 2 місяці тому +1

      @Wikikiman ya....in the 8th inning. Not the 9th. We HAD a consistent closer. One of THE most consistent. For 4 years he was a perfectly good closer. Then they signed Hader. You blame Pressly for not being mentally there and sucking now that his team replaced him for literally no reason?

    • @SaulGoodman-w2x
      @SaulGoodman-w2x 2 місяці тому

      Pressly has blown way too many games this season. 2/2 in the 9th is a small sample size that doesn't mean anything.

    • @imnotcreativeenoughh
      @imnotcreativeenoughh 2 місяці тому

      @IceStationZebraAssociates right......because he wasn't closing games, he was just pitching in a random late inning. When he's been the actual "closer" of the game... he's been completely fine. You take a closer out of their role and try to put them in non save situations, they're just not as good, and often they suck BAD. Look at what happened to Craig Kimbrel a couple years ago, or hell, how bout Graveman traded here in 2021? He was lights out closer for Seattle, came here and was the 7th/8th inning and he was decent but nowhere near as dominant.
      Closer is seriously the most misunderstood position in baseball by fans

    • @Wikikiman
      @Wikikiman 2 місяці тому +2

      @@imnotcreativeenoughh 8th inning, 9th inning..doesn't really matter. In inning 8, there's a mound, a pitcher on the mound, a home late and a batter- the variables are the same and Pressly is paid a lot of money to perform when he's needed, be it the 8th or 9th inning. If he can't perform, then he shouldn't be pitching for the Astros.
