The midwife is Myriam Margolyes, one of my favourite actresses and Profesdor Sprout in Harry Potter. She’s also hilarious in real life! Check her in the Graham Norton talk shows... she’s the best guest ever!
Yeah, it's Miriam Margolyes, who played Professor Sprout, and she also played Madam Morrible on stage in the London production of Wicked. I had totally forgotten she was in this episode.
So Greg's mentions if it was the new HP book and there we have Professor Sprout as the celebrity midwife. 😂😂 I think it was a not so subtle nod or may be completely coincidental.
@SeattleWaffle I'm guessing they had to have the baby in the hospital because of the trouble Abbey had with the baby in the earlier episode when they thought she might lose him
It's an old sitcom and the wifes are treated like shit too. It's suppose to show an overexaggerated version of marriage(s.) Larry doesn't really support Abby with the baby. Ed doesn't care much for his wife, doesn't listen when she speaks. Kitty in return, makes the decisions without Ed. Abby disregards Dharma's requests. Dharma barges into people's lifes and makes decisions based on feelings. Then again, that was taught to her by Abby and Larry. Greg is hanging around a bit in this episode, because it was all about the baby. Believe me, if you 'cross away' the moments that the guys are treated like shit and the women too, you'll find it's pretty much equal. Just as in most series. None really glorify the women, they're mostly underappreciated bigbreasted housewifes that are treated by their husband like spoiled children and in return, the women take it upon themselves to decorate the house, to decide over big decisions that the men are too uninterested about to consider and once in a while, they can't take the pressure anymore and explode and scream about the husband forgetting their birthday and giving them toiletseatcovers, to which the bored tv-watching men then reply; 'What have I done now?! I was being considerate...you said you hate it when I piss all over the seat!"

LOL, "She's the midwife! You heard me, I want HER!"
And Kitty actually stays! She's such a good person when she wants to be
@@CarlosDesmithy Agreed. Kitty showed her softer, loving side more often as the show progressed. It was cool to see it. LOVED this show!!
The vanity card was awesome!!
plot check!
wasn't it in season two that Abbie and Dharma said that giving birth should be done in hospitals? So why are they in one?
Haaah Pomona from Harry Potter! The Herbology Teacher. :D
Didn't change a bit
i am sorry.. were you here??? i love the british accent!!!

I'm voting for coincidental. Margolyes first appeared as Professor Sprout in 2002, whereas this episode was from 2000 (season 4).
I love Larry! :D
@CPMV71 I thought i could recognize her from somewhere!

Go Kitty!
someone needs to stay with Abby's face :DDD
Larry is not realy suporting abby
Professor Sprout is right about the aromatherapy at least, Dharma should know eucalyptus is harmful to infants!
Why are the guys treated like shit in this sitcom. It's ridiculous
