Absolutely masterful stuff. So cool to see somebody actually beat this game that creeped me out as a kid. God the soundtrack is so good though, especially the wizard L1 theme.
I’m wondering how the beehive blocking the path to the upper city disappeared. I thought that level one of the wizard was at least required to get rid of it.
I'm not sure the mechanics exactly of why it disappears, but the short answer is you can do camera manipulations to despawn it. When you get to the building just under and to the right of the beehive (where you'd normally shoot the fireball from) If you go far enough to the right (I go past the chimney) then you need to jump in a way that you gain just enough height needed to get to the top roof (meaning if your jump is too low then you don't make it on the roof, and if you see a gap between your feet and the roof before landing then your jump is to high). It's a bit hard to explain that jump, but I do it at 3:18 in the video (3:03 on the speedrun timer). the jump has to be exactly enough to get you onto the roof, no more, no less. I'm not very good at explaining, but hopefully that made somewhat sense. :)
Hey :) the reason we switch to thief 3 is because its movement speed is just so much faster than the wizard that, even in just the final 2 rooms, it saves time. Even with having to do extra costume switches :)

Someone was smoking crack when they created the Wizards & Warriors series.
Hard agree 🤣
Any specific reason you morph into thief 3 at the last door? You actually don't need the skeleton key to open that door.

i dont understand how levitating kills the wizard
Its a glitch in the sourcecode. Levitating at the right position will crash/skip this part of the fight.
