- This video is about 100 Most Valuable Postage Stamps of HONG KONG. I have given the brief characteristics of each stamp. In the background are the beautiful scenes of Hong Kong city, beaches and mountains. Postal system in the British Colony of Hong Kong started in 1841. At that time, the Royal Mail established the first General Post Office in the area. But the first local stamps were issued on Dec 8 1862. These were printed by De La Rue and we're engraved by Ferdinand Joubert. These stamps featured the portrait of Queen Victoria in seven denominations. Later, stamps with new values were added intermittently up until 1871. In 1891, the first commemorative stamp was issued. This was released to celebrate the Hong Kong's 50th anniversary as British colony. In my video I have briefly discussed the characteristics of each stamp along with it's condition. The values mentioned are only for the specific stamp shown with the text.

Very interesting thank you for sharing.
Thank you very much.
Nice information sharing 👍
Thank you.
No. 33 I suspect the stamp shown has wmk CC because of the shade and the type of B62 was not used in 1862/64 period
No. 42, all Machin def. have watermark although the later printings spiral CA wmk is hard to view
No. 11, bluish green is less common than green, the really scarce is the DEEP BLUE GREEN, which appears more blue than green
No. 34, 1891 Jubilee price varies with variety of the overprint. This price would be for a space Ho ng or tall K
BTW No. 10 $10 Annigoni. What's shown is on chalky paper, the real expensive one is on Glazed paper issued in 1973
Actually, No. 2 should be the "rough perf." p.12.5 4c mint. The one shown is p.14 which is the common version
Your accent is very good
Thank you
No. 54, I believe the stamp has watermark
No. 26 is actually "short T" variety of the normal stamp
