I can tell that you were trying to experiment with a solid melody to work with in order to make the remix both familiar and new. While I’ll be honest and say that this wasn’t necessarily my cup of tea, I did still very much enjoy the liberties you’ve taken in order to preserve the song’s already beautiful and layered melody. It should also be noted that though this song’s base is rock (which is difficult for even the most experienced DJs to mix), I really felt like you hammered Dreamcatcher’s style by maintaining the melody and flow of the original song while managing to add in your flavour. This is my favourite song from Dreamcatcher; I was very interested in seeing how you approached the song and I was not disappointed. If anything, tackling a song such as this truly shows how adept you are in creating an entirely new piece of music by using tonal cues and musical variety to explore a song’s depth. Thanks again!
