The media is lead by the global elites and their god is satan their liars and all this hype is not going to panic me. I got a little food stocked up a little toilet paper I didn't buy the whole store. There is no need for all that none Sense. Jesus Christ is really all I need. Yes we should be prepared for times like this but people buying all the toilet paper clearing out a the frozen food at Walmart is rediculous these people that are doing this forgot who their real provider is!!! "Money from property taxes goes toward maintaining most of the nation's public streets and roadways. Property taxes also pay for routine maintenance that ensures public safety on the roads. Maintenance includes making the necessary street light and traffic light repairs within the township or city limits." You could always go back to dirt roads ..... gas tax was to pay for highways .....
      Now ... you want to talk about income tax started in 1913 that's another story .........

What I use the stock market for is income and wealth preservation, and I am very conservative with my asset allocation. Like only 30% stock index funds and 70% fixed income securities funds like bonds, treasuries and cash.

I will use it to buy stock. Sorry Phil i can't buy much land with a $1,000. This video is not helpful. Phil should remove it.

  • @jrstegner
    @jrstegner 4 роки тому +5

    I appreciate Phil's wisdom HOWEVER:
    Real Estate is a good hedge against stock market dips, but what he doesn't express is that when you own stock, it is generally in a (or many) company/companies...these companies also own land, and infrastructure, and equipment, and other materials to manufacture products. These have value...and just because people panic doesn't mean those assets are "lost;" rather they become undervalued. As a steady farmer or duck hunter continues with their duties, so does the invested company.
    Just an example - take a look at EPR. That is a ticker symbol for a stock FYI. Feel free to do actual research and you'll see that owning real estate is actually their business...so it's not Exclusively one or the other...Sorry, Phil, but you're wrong.

    The money goes to people who sold short. You can make more money in a down market faster then an up market. That being said I agree with this guy purchase tangible items. I used to for Schwab until after 9/11. 9/11 was my personal awakening. I left Schwab and became a nurse. Not for the money... if I cared about the money I would have stayed with Schwab.
    Honestly the market will start climbing again in a couple of weeks. We've already realized hydroxychloroquine is a huge benefit with this virus. People will begin drinking tonic water (it has quinine in it) and they will take start taking vitamin and mineral supplements with zinc and vitamin d.

    Even land prices fluctuate. Since there are property taxes, you are basically renting the land from the government. Stocks can be volatile but if you invest in solid companies then its like investing in land: its unlikely to go to zero. Sure land prices are generally not as volatile, but depending on what your neighbors do, it can also drop drastically.
    Volatility is a double edge blade: it can go down quickly but it can also go up quickly.
    In addition, with the Government actively trying to keep inflation positive, cash is a horrible investment strategy long term: if you want your buying power to maintain you have to invest in something. Stocks have the best history long term for growth. Real estate, so long as its getting rented out, is the next best option. But any leveraged investment is carries a hefty risk and with real estate you own the government annually independent of the returns whereas stocks if there is a loss can be ridden off your taxes.

    Land AND stock can be good investments but you have to consider how you're in it. Land is a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG term investment (and you'll still be paying property taxes on it in the meantime). Yeah, you may lose in the short term with stocks, but you need to diversify, anyway. Stocks can be both long- and short-term investments, depending on the stocks.
    Land values goes up & down, just like stocks. The whole point is that, worst case, you have a lot of money, even if you lose a percentage, to retire on. …And you can live on it in the meantime.

    When you retire and have a 401K and try to take money out, you take a huge hit in fees and penalties. (until you’re in your mid 70s) The one I have you can’t transfer to gold, silver, real estate etc without huge taxes and penalties. You also have a ten day waiting period if you move your investments from high risk to stable, so when it starts falling you just have to watch. I’ve lost almost 1/3 of my retirement investment so far. Praying it stops going down.

    My husband, during the 70's and 80's, was always gambling on the stock market. Once he came home and told me he lost his job AND all our money in the stock market. I'm a widow and I have never and never would put money into the stock market. It gave me enough grief. I'm not feeling sorry for myself, but I've had enough to deal with with two chronically ill children. God has given me the strength to deal with whatever life has given me.

  • @rossboraan3580
    @rossboraan3580 4 роки тому

    The real problem with investing in the stock market is that it's gambling. There's no product being produced. Your money goes into a bet that later you're going to be able to sell your stocks to someone else for more money than you paid. The money you invest goes to the people who you buy your stocks from. If the stock goes up you sell it and make a profit. But the guy who buys from you doesn't get anything,- just a chance to sell it later at a profit to someone else. If the price goes down and you sell the stocks you lose money. If you sell at a profit and the price goes down later, the guy who buys from you loses. It's a zero sum game. It's gambling! That's all there is to it.
    Is gambling how God wants us to make money? Say it, Phil "I don't think so!"

    • @AK-47ISTHEWAY
      @AK-47ISTHEWAY 10 місяців тому +1

      Every type of investment is a gamble. When you start a business, you are gambling that it is gonna survive and be profitable. When you buy a piece of income producing real estate, you are taking a gamble, hoping that not only the property value will increase, but that you will always have tenants occupying it so you can collect that rental income. You're also taking a gamble that your talents will not destroy your property, causing thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage.

    lol, if value is destroyed, no one else got that money... these guys have no idea what they're talking about.... It's not gone, because money is nothing in the first place... it's just a believe, once we stop believing it stops existing

      You are on a computer right now. If they are so evil, then destroy your computer and get off the internet forever.

    Is this video some kind of joke? You don't realize a loss until you sell. Long term stock market always rises. All you have to do is look at a chart.

    Horrible advice. I know what we're going through is a horrible situation. But, right now, China is buying up our inexpensive stock since their economy is back online. Then they come over here and purchase homes and set up their little communities and banks and we let them. I can't tell anyone what to do with their money but I'm not gonna let this opportunity go to waste, just like the foreigner isn't letting this opportunity go.
