This method of teaching is so helpful for me especially as I’m trying to follow and repeat what you’re saying. It’s helpful to make sure I get the phrasing/pronunciation right. Thank you!

    @Shonaland.
Hi Sir. I recently found your channel. I am very excited to learn shona. There's a song I like, but I can't get the accurate translation on google. May you please translate them for me.
    Song:Nyeredzi
    Hona nguwo dzaakashonga
    Nyemwerero inobaya moyo wozorora
    Uchamuona pose paanosvika
    Anoti makadii nemutsa moyo wozorora
    Uchamuona achityora muzura moyo wozorora
    Uchamuona akasenga chirongo moyo wozoro(ra)
    Uyo akasunga chuma ndongoti anendorochena
    Usimuke pakati pevamwe ndikusarudze
    Uyo akasunga chuma ndongoti anendorochena

This is basically a love song of a guy who saw a beautiful girl that he fell in love with. I tried my best to translate the song. Some of the lines are poetic so other people might interpret it in a different way. But this is how I interpret the song:
      Hona nguwo dzaakashonga
(look at the clothes she is wearing)
      Nyemwerero inobaya moyo wozorora
(Smile that touches me, my heart eases)
      Uchamuona pose paanosvika
(you will notice her when ever she arrives)
      Anoti makadii nemutsa moyo wozorora
(She will graciously greet , my heart eases)
      Uchamuona achityora muzura moyo wozorora
(You will see her half-kneel , my heart eases)
      Uchamuona akasenga chirongo moyo wozoro(ra)
You will see her head carrying a jar, my heart eases)
      Uyo akasunga chuma ndongoti anendorochena
(See her wearing beads, she is the perfect one)
      Usimuke pakati pevamwe ndikusarudze
(Stand up amongst others and I will choose you)
      Uyo akasunga chuma ndongoti anendorochena
(See her wearing beads, she is the perfect one)
      Nyeredzi vaima ndikuone
(Stars shine bright so that I can see her)
      Vekwedu vanokubayira mombe
(My family will slaughter a cow for you)
      Dai wangondida ndikudewo
(Wish you could love me and I could love you back)
      Toita tsika nditsikewo
      (Will be together always)
      Nyeredzi vaima ndikuone
(Stars shine bright so that I can see her)
      Vekwedu vanokubayira mombe
(My family will slaughter a cow for you)
      Dai wangondida ndikudewo
(Wish you could love me and I could love you back)
      Haa taita tsika nditsikewo
      (Will be together always)
      Kure kwegava ndofira mukuzama
(It seems impossible but I will try)
      Mmm chido chehana ndotofira mukuzama
(Mmm sweetheart I will die trying)
Mmm kure kwegava mm ndofira mukuzama
(It seems impossible but I will try)
      Mmm chido chehana ndotofira mukuzama
(Mmm sweetheart I will die trying)
      Kuti ndisiye moyo waramba
(I try to resist but my heart refuses)

Ok, so here, get well soon starts with the prefix “ndo”. Will you explain the difference when using the singular pronouns? What is “ndo”’s meaning? Is there a for instance in the following: ndodya, ndinodya, ndiri kudya, ndadya, ndichadya? I understand all of the uses except for “ndo”.

      @brandonpfunder
The prefix 'ndo' is basically the short version of 'ndino'. For eaxmple
'I eat bread' in shona becomes
      1)Ndinodya chingwa or
      2) Ndodya chingwa
For the others that you mentiones see translation below- its now an issue of different tenses
'I am eating bread' in shona becomes 'ndiri kudya chingwa'
'I ate bread' in shona becomes 'ndadya chingwa'
'I will eat bread' in shona becomes ndichadya chingwa'
      I hope this helps
