I have a Lenovo Thinkpad. I had this problem and most of the large repair companies I tried wanted to entirely replace the keyboard and refused to replace one key. I tried a smaller local person IM A PC who managed to replace the key even though I'd bent one of the metal hinges while trying to do it myself. Your video show how simple it is if the hinges aren't bent. The other companies didn't know what the problem was, but just wanted a bigger job than I was offering! BEWARE!
Thank you, i found my laptop missing a few keys this morning & I've no idea how this happened. I needed to know how to fix the white things together & I think a few bits of them are missing. Only one slight criticism & that is I wished you weren't wearing the gloves as they covered up half of the action. But thank you, & now I shall go back & see if I get on better this time! (I haven't even found all the bits yet, so that doesn't help. But I can still type!)
Thanks a Lot man u saved me my S key was driving me crazy. i did used my fingers to remove the key because i have a msi gs75 and the keys are separate from each other so it really easy to remove. i found out that it was something sticky down the key that it was making the S key get stuck sometimes, i did follow the steps and Voala fixed. Thanks Again.
I use this method for my WSAD keys (since I'm a gamer) and replace it with different key hinges which I don't use often. It is a good tempoary fix until I order the correct hinges for my laptop model for a more perment fix :)
TY so much! I accidentally took out one of the keys on my scissor switch keyboard and couldnt put it back in. This vid showed me that the key has places where the scissor switch attaches to the key itself. I managed to detach the scissor switch, attach it back to the key cap, then pushed the key cap back in. And the keyboard and pc was on and running lol.
@@axstrodestroyz5129 i think i just used tweezers for leverage and it popped out pretty easy. don't be afraid that you might break it (like i was) since it can easily be fixed. just wiggle it around the edges until it becomes loose and then work at the center.
Hoxter Hi there! It should work just fine, try not to apply to much force though. If you have any questions or need help don't hesitate to ask! We have other tutorials with different keyboard layout if you are interested.
Hi I have an issue, and I need help! My W is loose, whenever I use it the side down on the W goes up so I have to press it in again, the up is working fine but whenever I press W a little bit up the other side gets loose, what do I do? :(
Why tf all those companies using such a shitty design for those keyboards? Did they forget what a spring is or any other milions time simplier ways to construct a button?

Bad method. You can break the clip on the underside of the tile.
it must be really dangerous to work on keyboards judging by those gloves
Yes indeed! You don't ever know what's underneath those keys... 😅😅
Does not work
