It's interesting to note that, while it was probably not thought up at the time we encountered Mal'ganis in Northrend, Nathreza was no more at that time. Illidan had already shattered it, imploding his portal and causing a cataclysm like the one that shattered Draenor. So perhaps that had contributed to Mal'ganis not returning for so long.
As for what had been happening to him since then, he was supposed to be in warlock's order hall if I remember notes from alpha/beta correctly before that idea was scrapped. So... maybe he infiltrated Scarlet Crusade? It could related to those notes we can found in Tirisfal Glades maybe...

    • @preds43
      @preds43 3 роки тому

@@fergin4979 Well, yeah, Demons go to the Nether when they die. However, because the Dreadlords were highly likely to be once Venthyr, you can just argue that Mal'ganis abandoned the Legion sometime during 7.0, and went back to the Shadowlands to party with the Jailer some more. Pretty sure the Dreadlords can travel to the Shadowlands, despite being transformed into demons, as they were still native to Revendreth (That is, if it's confirmed that the Dreadlords are being talked about in the Enemy Infiltration book).
"It stood out to me the other day that there is in fact a demon in the shadowlands that azmogal guy at Theatre of pain outdoor version" Other cosmic forces tried to invade the Shadowlands prior, and in the Maldraxxus Afterlives short, it's confirmed that Draka stole plans from the Legion that involved invading the Shadowlands (Probably because the Void attacked it, therefore making it a target for Sargeras). So, the forces of Maldraxxus likely captured Azmogal as the result of an initial failed Legion invasion attempt over the Shadowlands.

It's kind of crazy how well the lore works for Shadowlands and The Jailer pulling the strings when you realize that Ner'Zul stopped being a thinking entity when they turned him into Frostmourne and the armor, and all the instances of "the lich king" and so on are really in regards to Zhovall and company. Really makes a lot more sense, as, IMHO, the whole "Lich King=Ner'Zul" never really added up for me.

Wait a second, after this I'm so confused. Did we get any confirmation that the dreadlords are working with the Jailer? If so, the lore now makes no sense at all. Kel'thuzad in w3 was totally against dreadlords, even though he should have known he was working with them at the time? Did he not know this back then ? Am I missing something, or are there some serious plot holes that just totally mess up all the lore. Also didn't the dreadlords helping Sargeras take over Azeroth mess up with the Jailors plans of taking over Azeroth ? Were the dreadlords actually helping Sargeras or sabotaging him ? Does that mean that Kel'thuzad is now working with the dreadlords as well? Or does this just mean, that there are so many factions of the dreads that in every plane of existance that even the Jailor is being manipulated by them ? How far back in creation do they go ? Man my head is about to explode. Mr. Nobs, can we get another deep dive vid on this matter ?

Working together is probably a bit much. As far as I know lore wise, it looks more like a mutually benificial trade agreement. The dreadlords get a tool to control the dead, the Jailer gets something currently unknown. Kel'thuzad is just an opportunist. He can either serve the maw and get something out of it, or suffer in the Maw for all eternity.

The biggest question when it come to Malganis will still be.. Where are his loyalties? To the Burning Legion.. or the Jailor. Considering what is said in that journal or report.. It seems that the Dreadlords are under Sire Denetrius.. in turn working for the Jailor. But what about Malganis.. he WAS betrayed by the Jailor. Which also means. betrayed by Denetrius. His lord. And then he went on to attack the Scourge.. Over and over. I mean the Scarlet Crusade HAS been active.. since Cata i think. But not really done much. As well as we got 2 remade dungeons.. with new stuff. A fire mage burning down books "None shall know our shame".. Ok.. And a New champion for Whitemane. And the recent talk about a TRUE heir to the Menethil Throne.

    • @chrisrubin6445

Uther would have done a few things. First he would try to separate people who have eaten the plagued grain from those who haven't, then he would try to use the light to heal those who have already been infected. If that didn't work, yeah he probably would have waited for them to turn undead, and then kill them.

Now that we know Denathrius created the Nathrezim to infiltrate the other cosmic powers, it's very likely they will play a part in Shadowlands. Maybe the reason Mal'Ganis didn't do anything in Legion, was because they were saving him for this expansion. We know the dreadlords played a part in the Lich King's creation. They convinced Kil'jaeden they were the ones who created Frostmourne and the Helm of Domination for the Legion, when in reality, these items were made by the Jailer who only used the Legion as a means to get them to Azeroth.
When Mal'Ganis talked about the "Dark Lord", he wasn't talking about Ner'zhul. He was talking about the Jailer, his true master. When Arthas sent him to the Nether, Mal'Ganis "served his purpose", meaning the Jailer abandoned him, like he abandoned Denathrius after the raid. This was why he sought vengeance against the Lich King in Wrath: To rob the Jailer of his champion.
Mal'Ganis didn't show up in Legion, but he could easily make a return in Shadowlands. We've already seen the return of Uther, Kel'Thuzad, Lady Vashj, and Kael'thas. There's a high chance Arthas might return in a future patch. What better time to bring back Mal'Ganis as well? I'd love to see the two former enemies team up against the Dark Lord who screwed them both over.

I mean, The Wrath of the Lich king was the first expansion they did after activisme took over, so it makes sense a lot of it was rushed and not fleshed out. (I mean just a look at the armours should be enought to determine that) but also Nerubians etc.
Not to mention they made Nezar'Azret in legion, a Nerubian queen, into a Scarab lord, like wat? xD

She is not a scarab lord what do you mean ? If you talk about the model she has in the chromie scenario then that could be because there is no model for female crypt lord (like anub'arak) in wow so they gave her the classic model. I mean it makes sense to not make a unique model for an almost insignificant character that wont have any use in any major lore event. The chromie scenario proves that very well

Something doesn't add up with how they are rewriting to try to shoehorn Shadowlands into the rest of previous wow lore. If the dreadlords were actually created by Sire Denathrius....then why did we literally "NEVER" see any nathrezim anywhere in the shadowlands and no where in castle nathria...? Moreover, if Mal'Ganis was working with Denathrius against Sargeras...then why all the surprise and anger when the lich king would do things against the sargeras plan? Why the anger and surprise when arthas killed his form? Why bother with revenge if the lich king was literally doing everything according to plan?
Moreover, it makes no sense how dreadlords would make themselves immune to frostmourne....if supposedly the Jailer made it. Or, what we suspect from the shadowlands cutscenes....frostmourne was made by the runecarver or the primus. Why would the runecarver have ever made nathrezim immune? Likewise....if the retcon is true....then Bastion failed yet again by constantly returning nathrezim from revendreth back to the nether when they died in reality instead of back to the shadowlands to be judged by the arbiter. That whole "Limbo" world quest for kyrian players makes absolutely no sense.

@@laertesindeed Moreover,The Runecarver made The Vessels of Domination under The Jailer's control,so he should add some characteristics like Dreadlord immunity against it.This is something that strengthens my theory that The Dreadlords were Venthyr. They are going to the Nether because they became demons through infection, like Illidan...even if they could originate from SL.Details like anger towards The Lich King turning against Sargeras could have many circumstances,so there are a lot of situations that could be planned to happen that way.I repeat, these could be somehow clarified in the future.
