- At Wizard World Comic Con in Portland, I talked to Lenore Zann! She is an accomplished actor but she did the voice of Rogue from X-Men the Animated Series which was a huge part of my childhood and was my first exposure to the X-Men franchise which is now my favorite of all the Marvel franchises. She was so sweet.
Just like Rogue was an amazing example for young women when I was coming up, I think Zann is an amazing example for women. She has a personal mission to lift women up and is a politician who advocates again Climate Change in Parliament in Canada where she lives.

Her Rogue voice is so iconic and charming! It helps that she also voiced Rogue in X-Men vs Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom. Really helps cement the feel of the character long after the series stopped airing.
True...Rogue is and still is one of my fave heroes to date. She was strong, beautiful, sensitive, lonely, insecure on many levels for being a mutant but also because of her first BF. Lenore portrayed her with so much life and power that both Lenore and Rogue are one and the same to be idolized.
It's great that they bring Lenore Zann back for the '97 sequel. I don't think there will ever be any other voice actress who can give Rogue her perfect voice.
It would be awesome if they brought Chris Potter back, as well. Hearing Gambit and Rogue together again, would be moving as hell.

I'm rewatching X-Men: The Animated Series and Rogue is even more amazing than I remember. Such an absolute powerhouse, and still one of the most realistic, complex, and decent people on the show.
Power doesn't always corrupt. Well, not always without regret (like what happened with Captain Marvel).
She also was the voice of Tigra in the avengers animated series a few years later. 👌🏼

I remember watching the English dub of Outlaw Star in 2001 and thinking "That catgirl sounds like Rogue"
It brings joy and a BIG SMILE to my face hearing Her, Jesus I was forever in love with this Lady's voice as a kid, and as a teenager playing Capcom's X-Men fighting games featuring Rogue, much respect to Her

Alot of the actors I never knew voiced certain characters look soo differently , not what I expected but it's alright .. They are good people , passionate and great at what they do , I loved X-Men growing up. Especially Wolverine. 💙💛

So amazing and perfect as Rogue! She was and is my favorite super hero from all genres! Lenore was so perfect for the voice that I've never accepted any 9f the movies with a "Rogue". They never did her justice! Either in voice or the way she was portrayed.

How when I read an x-Men comic, I’m always going to picture her voice as Rouge.
Oh, no kidding. Like in... what, Uncanny #343 in 97, when they were in the Shi'ar and Rogue was being consumed by the Phalanx. All alone and thinking her next words would be her last, she shouted her declaration of love for Gambit and how she always loved him. Totally heard her voice when reading that frame.
Then he blew in and saved her with something like "You think Im gonna let you punch out on a line like that?" I think it was shortly before she ditched him in Antarctica and left him to die... but a rather touching moment where I heard both voice actors in my head while reading it. Due to him being very clear about his infatuation with her and being in love with her, but we never really knew where she stood. She was always so ambiguous about her feelings toward him.
I think EVERYONE loved the X-Men 90s cartoon, just maybe the individuals going to Comic Con, but the 90s X-Men show is the greatest cartoon ever up there with Gargoyles and The Real Ghostbusters

Some will disagree with me here but if they gave Rouge her own animated series she could easily take off on her own without the X-men. Don’t get me wrong I like her with the X-men but she’s got plenty of potential to do her own thing and has more than enough story to do so. Lenore Zane’s 90s Rouge I mean.

Did you know that in 2017, just 100 companies responsible for 71% of global emissions? While doing things like recycling and reducing your own plastic waste are great steps, pushing for change in local legislation and beyond, as Lenore Zann is doing, will have the biggest impact on our future.
Also, she was doing meet and greets at a con, that was likely given to her. But if you have a comment on the content of the video or your love of X-Men the Animated Series, I'm all ears.
Regarding her rhetoric about teaching young girls (in particular LOL) to "accept themselves for who they are" and "just love themselves"... First of all, that means to accept mediocrity and reject any kind of self-improvement and no, that's not what the show was about LOL. It was actually about the contrary to that. She's a great voice actress but she should just stop pushing her personal biased deformed political and social views onto people. That is not at all what the character she voiced and the show she was a part of preached to people. It was about teaching people, particularly the young ones about looks-based discrimination and prejudice yes, but that is not the same thing with what she rambles about here... As for Marylin Monroe, she did not commit suicide because she "didn't love herself"... LOL. She committed suicide because she had severe psychological and emotional trauma from years of physical and sexual abuse (her real story is actually a very sad one) which she never got over because she never got any kind of help for that. So that is a very different situation from what Lenore Zann tries to make people believe here. These social engineers must really stop dumbing down and brainwashing young people with this kind of phony self-righteous notions about "acceptance" and "tolerance" and all the other crap they lecture people on... But then again, if they did that they wouldn't be social engineers anymore, would they...? LOL.

Disney needs to get their shit together. Bring back the original voice cast for a X-Men special. Maybe a new season or a movie special. Disney come on give some recognition to these amazing voice actors. They deserve it. The fans have been begging for it for 20 years now. Listen to the fans please Disney 🙏. Oh man the animation for this series is so great. Bums me out so much how cheap animation looks on most every cartoon. Everything done on computers looks cheap. Lenore is such a talent. I've always wondered about the VA for Jean Grey 🤔. I've heard she will never discuss her time on the X-Men or do appearances. She was stalked by a person with mental illness. Always wanted to know more about that situation and story. It's a shame the actress doesn't feel safe making appearances with the rest of her cast.

I heard that Catherine Disher (VA for Jean) was actually married to the VA for Professor X.
If you remember in the series, Rogue's true power is stealing powers. And they did an episode explaining where she gets her other powers and that they were permanently stolen from someone she held too long. Ms.Marvel/Captain Marvel. It also happened that way in the comics. And.....Rogue is rumored to be the "villain" in Captain Marvel 2...so...we know how THAT goes down... plus it would make her the first official mutant in the MCU.

As a man, the women of the team were organically awesome along with the rest of the team. X-Men were flawed people who had issues but had teammates that would pick them up or they would focus on the task at hand. The issue with Disney is that they take away femininity, flaws, and failures of the female characters and just have them be perfect ( not all of the time but there are examples of that). Disney just needs to let the characters be without falling into the “girl boss” trap.
