At the beginning of 2023, I was over 300 pounds. Through consistent fasting, I've managed to come down to 145 as of today, with the ultimate goal of 130 before my birthday in July. It really works, and I feel better today at 31 years old than at any point in my teens and 20's! It really works and I highly recommend not only for weight loss but just general improvements in physical and mental health. You will not regret it!

@Big-E-TheBouncer Yes, it's still something I'm dealing with. It was going to happen with that kind of rapid weight loss. Still, I'd rather have loose skin than be my original size.

DR. Mike ive been following you since the end of Feb 2024 and put into action what i learned from watching your channel. Ill be honest i didnt start slow, after the ex wife and i divorced i was pushing about 300 lbs, my heaviest ever so i dove right into the 18/6 fasting!! Ive stuck to it for the last 2 months, eating the foods ive seen you make, and started lifting weights again. Today April 30th 2024 im Down 41 Lbs and feel amazing with so much energy. I recently stopped taking my BP medication as my numbers have gone back to normal. I wanna thank you so much. Ive tried many ways and have had my weight fluctuate so much up and down. You have taught me not only a new way of eating, and eating yummy things that are healthy, but also a better way of living so i can also be a better dad and set good examples for my boys!! Thankyou!!!

Im fasting 36/12 for 8 weeks eating for 12 but I'm following you and your meals. I'm unable to purchase from you at the time due to finances but I'm following you and you teach me SO MUCH! You are an instrument of wisdom and absolutely God sent. After the 8 weeks I will readjust my intermittent fasting to something more suitable. During my 12 hrs I'm careful not to over eat and follow macs. Started 2 days ago @ 172 1bs at 5'6ft. 2nd day 168 1bs

Fasting cleared up my acne. The most important thing is to not overeat once you break a fast. Stop eating when you feel about 80% full or it will result in regaing of weight, or for me, return of my acne.

I eat one carnivore meal per day, sometimes 2. I can easily fast 24-36 without any ghrelin grumbles or any physical discomfort. My energy levels and mental health is incredible. 2 years ago I was sick and depressed. I’m now 20 kilos lighter and feel like I did 20 years ago. Fasting improves everything but the quality of the food you eat is also so important. Stopping eating processed food and prioritising nutrient dense protein foods makes fasting so easy. Once ketosis kicks in, everything changes, you feel alive again.

I’m a pretty solid guy with a lot of muscle mass but my stomach and hip area holds a lot of extra fat. I started at 230lbs 2 1/2 months ago (June) and am now down to 212 pounds (August) on daily 14 hour fasts, with a lot of the weight coming from my midsection area. Thank you Dr. Mike

I've gone from a size 18/20 to a 12. I want to be a size 10, so not long to go now. This has been alongside cutting out processed foods, drinking lost of water and reducing carbs.

Thank you for sharing this informative video on intermittent fasting! I can see how reducing the eating window can help with weight loss. However, I’m curious about a few things: How do you recommend planning meals to ensure adequate protein intake for muscle preservation during intermittent fasting? What are your thoughts on the potential impact of intermittent fasting on metabolism? Could it slow down metabolism, and if so, how can one avoid this? When someone transitions back to a more balanced eating pattern after intermittent fasting, how can they prevent rapid weight gain? Finally, is it realistic to consume the recommended amounts of macronutrients and micronutrients within such a short eating window? Can the body effectively digest and absorb everything it needs according to government guidelines in that time frame? I appreciate your insights and would love to hear your thoughts on these points!

I am doing fasting every second month for 7-8 days the feeling is amazing after day tree I’m starting to think really clear. I don’t think about food anymore and I’m so concentrated something like I’m on micro dozing on shrooms and you can see everything so clear. on day seven I don’t even wanna start eating again like you feeling so light like it’s hard to explain how you feel without no food just water. I think everyone should do it once in a while.

I started fasting 16:8 without doing the 12: 12 or 14: 10 variant. I gotta say it was easier than I thought. I was 94 kilos at 173 cm, way higher than what I should be at that height. After 2 weeks of intermittent fasting 16:8 I lost about 5 kilos and even increased my fast to a 18:6 instead cause I was sleeping so much that I was waking up at 11 and started eating at 12. I wasn't even hungry after the fast but I had to eat something to keep my body fuctioning. Also went walking for at least 8k to 10k steps per day and did some light weight exercise at home.

ive been doing adf for around 2 months, I have lost 40 pounds, from 225 ish to 186 where im at right now. I fast for around (anywhere between) 36 - 42 hours depending on how long i wait to eat on the eating day eg at 7 am or 11 am. Then actively try to eat less carbs in my meals and more fibre and protein. Keeps me really full, and I am feeling great. Bear in mind i would say anywhere up to like 8 pounds or something was just excess water and excretion etc over the first couple of days.

I always wonder how people can get enough protein in with a 16hour fast. Seems unrealistic with just 2 meals. Great vid as always though

9y ago ive lost 50kg with fasting alone within 10 months. Due to several surgeries and personal issues ive gained all of that back. Since then its been a battle of up and down with weight. Now im faating full time again, mostly 18-6 or more and am down 10kg in 20 days. Only 60kg more to go 😂

I have a problem, I can’t do fasting because if I don’t eat in the morning I have an headache that appears around 9 or 10 a.m and becomes a BIG headache after ☹️ .. I don’t know what to do to overcome it

You can start fasting earlier in the afternoon. For example, you can have last meal (lunch) at 4 PM and start your 16-hour-long fast. By 8 AM the next morning, your fast is over. You can have breakfast and no headache.

@@JecaDonica thank you it’s a good idea ! It’s difficult to have last meal at 4 p.m at work but I will try it while being in remote work !

@kiams91 I have the same problem as you do. Breakfast is a must for me. 😊 It was hard at the beginning, but trust me, in a couple of days, you will get used to it. You won't feel hunger at all.
