Just an idea How about an au where hiccup and Astrid both run away cuz hiccup had to take Astrid with him (basically kidnapping 😅) after she found out about toothless since leaving her there would mean her telling everyone and them ending up finding him basically his mission would fail In my opinion it makes more sense
