That's WHY they have to ask literally 100x or 200x what a high quality Casio, Seiko or Invicta would cost. And I'm thrilled with my Casio & Invicta collection - I have about 14 of what are to me, their most interesting models - within my modest budget all of them together costing around $950 or less & bought piecemeal over about 8 years. @johnblackburn9574 Grand Seiko for sure. I cant understand why anyone would choose a Swiss watch over Grand Seiko. The Spring drive movement is mesmerizing.

Cartier De Santos for the win. Such a great watch, great story & can be dressed in any way. Most sold or 2nd most sold watch, yet I rarely see them in a sea of Rolex’s.
I wore a Casio G-Shock DW 5600 on my wedding day. It was stunningly displayed on my wrist, as it totally complimented my US Army BDUs (Battle Dress Uniform). 😂😂😂 Yeah, I had a M16 wedding. (Courthouse during lunch). Back at work at 1300. 😂😂

I've never come across wedding watches but they're a great idea. When she tells you a budget for her engagement and wedding rings tell her the same budget for the watch she'll have to buy you . That'll sort the sheep from the goats before you commit 😂
Omega/Tudor/Brietling and maybe Cartier….Rolex has too much of an issue actually getting watched to the stores. The other 4 I can buy what I want when I walk in the store
Get a timex in three years the wife will figure a way to take it away from you along with the house care savings half your retirement. We’ll look, there I saved you 4950 to 8 k use the for the divorced.
No way man, all 3 are solid watches but you gotta wear a dress watch to your wedding, can’t wear a sports watch unless it’s particularly dressy. I think only the Cartier works, in leather
Ideally, wearing a dress watch is the norm, but I have a lot of people receiving sport watches as their wedding watch from the bride or bride’s family. It would be rude if they didn’t wear the watch that was gifted for the wedding.
Anybody who would spend that much on a watch to wear just for a day, is a fool. Nobody BUYS a limo for the wedding, they rent a limo. Half the time, they even rent their tux. $5-10,000 would be better spent helping to start a new life for a couple of newly weds. Especialy considering that money problems are a leading contributor to the divorce rate.
Yes but most times men are being GIFTED a watch by the bride or the bride’s family for the wedding. You can rent a limo, tux, and a venue but people BUY watches, jewelry, rings etc
We already spent a lot on the wedding, so my budget was nowhere near 5k, so I went with the very affordable but classic looking Seiko tank on a black leather strap. Perfect watch for me that didn't outshine my tux. Not to mention people at first thought it was a Cartier. Win win.
Frick that's expensive. New to this game. I just learned that Cary Grant's watch in his 1959 movie North by Northwest was a Cartier Tank. That would be a great vintage dress watch for a wedding, if it were not so expensive.
Cartier Santos, best of the 3 for everything, but especially a wedding. All 3 are excellent watches, but the order of the video is also the order of my option. 1. Cartier Santos 2. Omega Speedmaster 3. Grand Seiko
Grand Seiko has amazing craftsmanship, but their use of color is similar to the way La Croix uses "flavor" "this one is blue, but only under perfect lighting" "that one is pink, but only if you look at it during an equinox sunset"
There are cultural differences in how terms are used and there have been changes over time in different places and times as well. Traditionally the Irish didn’t think of themselves as Irish and the native language of Ireland wasn’t referred to as Irish. Also the Scots were originally from Ireland not what is Scotland today!
500-1500 budget would be nice :)
Tissot prx 80, automatic. £650.
Seiko Cocktail times under $500, $500-1000 get an Alpinist, and over $1000 get a used quartz Grand Seiko. Unbeatable value!
