If Carthon wasn't power hungry and ran the organization through the head coach ( like every good football team that has ever existed) things would be alot different. Instead he just blew up the whole organization because he wanted to call the shots.
The Titans will never have a great fan base due to all of the carpetbaggers. Carthon was very irresponsible with cap money. He spent money like he had a team ready to compete. He paid $94m with $50m guaranteed for a 30 yr old WR, you can’t do that for a team that needs to be rebuilt.
This was poor ownership. Head coach Mike Vrabel was removed from personal decisions and AJ Brown was traded away to the Philadelphia Eagles it was General Manager Ran Carthon that created that trade. Coach Mike Vrabel was let go and GM Carthon then brought in head coach Brian Callahan and then drafted rookie quarterback Will Levis. They did not try to re-sign running back Derek Henry. In Rans defence on some of these, Henry didn't want to be in nashville anymore and it was clear he wanted to be on a contending team, he was never going to re-sign. Tannehill was done for; old, injured and not particularly playing well. Agreed to all…save for Mike being the hottest commodity out there…good luck to anyone thinking that…the trading of that #1 pick and who all they got was huge in getting them to that championship game…but, they did have that talent after and the team went south quick. And it wasn’t just missing AJ.
Such a disappointing and horrible move by the Titans. He was rebuilding the organization up and had them in position to draft their franchise quarterback. SMH
Google the owner’s career resume. Woman never had a job in her life before inheriting the Titans. Never did a single thing in her 70 years of life except be the president for a fox hunting club. It’s a complete joke
Things got weird the year after they choked the first playoff game away to the Bengals in 2021. Personnel moves were stupid. Firing Vrabel was stupid. By that time it didn’t matter what happened after that. It will take a Hershel Walker/Deshon Watson type of the trade for this franchise to recover. Cam Ward isn’t going to save them.
Titans Management is more concerned with the away fans enjoying a nice game of watching their teams come to Nashville and see them win. Yup just the kind of "Game Experience" the "home" fans are looking for. 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
Look. Jon Robinson traded away AJ Brown and then the next year he torched the titans. This year, Ran let Malik Willis go, and then he torched the titans and made him and the team look bad. Both had to go as they have set this team back for years. Wasting talents like Simmons, and now Sweat, and the years of Henry. Its time for a GM to know what the hell he is doing and have an eye for talent.
Tannelhill got old fast because he had no one to throw to and and open flood gate for an O-Line… Robinson set this team back at least a half decade with his terrible drafts and trades. Ran did the best he could with the hand he was dealt.
The NFL has become to dependent on the QB. Teams live and die with their quarterback. Running doesn’t matter. Defense doesn’t matter. Just passing. QBs and receivers get the lions share of salary followed by pass rushers.
Maybe if Amy Adams would stop worrying about throwing HOUSTON Oilers history down the throats of Titans fans and worry more about the Tennessee legacy part of the franchsie and the fact the franchises high point came in Tenn in 1999 with the superbowl run. Use the 1999 Titans uniforns as throwbacks. Amy Adams and her late father are obsessed with Houston the same way somebody is obsessed about their ex wife or husband.
Ran hit on one draft pick, overpaid Ridley, let Henry walk, drafted will Levis (let Malik Willis go and he looks decent in green bay), Losing record, Vrabel was fired (while Ran kept his job), Free Agent signings were a bust, Ran wasn't the man for the job to correct JRob mistakes. Callahan needs to go as well I'm sorry!
"If you can't see the back door, stuff your blind, OR, "If you can't see the backdoor stuff, you're blind." Do you see how frigging punctuation and spelling and grammar matter?
AJ Brown was traded cause he wanted more money. Even if we had re-signed him the Titans would have went no-where. The Offensive line was piss poor and Lewans injury exposed that the rest of the line was garbage. Team needed to rebuild the o-line then, and they need to re-build the -line now. Amy refusing to re-build when it was needed put us to where were are now. No-where. Square One. Re-build that line already. Amy wanted someone who thought they could re-tool and not re-build after John Robinson's gamble.
Black coaches and GMs are on short leashes. When they are hired, they are usually thrust into bad situations and expected to turn it around fast. Don't agree? Trent Baalke is selecting his third head coach and he stinks.
The teams that come to mind that are just a mess, Titans, Browns, Saints, Jets, Giants, Jags, Raiders, Cowboys, Cardinals, Bears. I’m not including teams like the Pats because after 20 years of Bellicheck/Brady it’s going to take some time to re-Build. That’s 10 out of 32 teams that I see going absolutely nowhere anytime in the near future. The NFL has become such theater of itself that year in and out it’s the same teams that a parental winners and the teams that constantly lose. Now I’ll give credit to the teams that forever were awful inside and out but as of the last five years have Completely turned the organization around. Right off the Bat I think of Washington, I also think The Bucs are trending upwards. The Chiefs hadn’t won a SB in 50 years before they got there 1st, The Bills I do think will end up winning a Super Bowl in the next 2-3 years. The Vikings and Lions have totally turned their respective organizations around the last few years. So in conclusion I do think slowly more and more NFL teams will get better in the near future
Who ever behind this changing plans wanted Tennessee Titans football team to fail. All this changing doesn't make sense at all. Someone definitely needs an explanation to make or just close down this football team. We don't have the energy to go watch our favorite football team game that we already know it's going to be a loosing game anyways. All i know is that we should've mess with the GM or the Coach in the first place. All we need for this team to win is a good QB overall and and a good wide receiver overall. The rest of the team is still in good condition ready to go. Stop blaming the source but focus on the mechanics meaning the football team players should be the focus. I played rugby and football physically and I definitely understand the mechanics of how tough as an athletic person i understand what my weakness and strength. Me observing this team hundred percent sure needs a good QB not only can throw but can run too in case the blocker can't hold the line and a good WR that got crazy speed always hungry for the ball n that's it other than that the team overall is doing fine.

Some NFL teams are nothing more than a tax benefit for the owner. I’ve learned the Titans are one of them. It would take a whole new roster and a whole ownership change to change the culture of the Titans. Truly the Mud Dogs of the NFL
Honestly, I think the team made a lot of mistakes going back to the 2020 NFL draft and it led to where they are now. At some point, you have to know when to hit the reset button as a franchise. If you fail to do so, you will end up running yourself into the ground trying to hold on too long. It happens in every sport. You have to prep for the future while making the present work. Tennessee never prepped for life after Derrick Henry and they had plenty of time to do so. I liked Ran and I do not think he was part of the problem. Moving into the future, the Titans need to trade veterans away and get draft picks. Try to get as many draft picks as possible and go to work on drafting talent. There are a lot of talented players in the next draft, the team just needs to work to find the players that can contribute to the team success.

Disappointed I didn’t get to hear a, “the hell goin on here?”
AJ brown and saquon both wanted out, so i don't blame the GM's for that. You can definitely blame for the lack of help around them so they wanted out
Pretty much that they will fire any GM who makes a big decision and whiffs.
Ownership must really have regrets about A.J. Brown and Will Levis.
Agreed to all…save for Mike being the hottest commodity out there…good luck to anyone thinking that…the trading of that #1 pick and who all they got was huge in getting them to that championship game…but, they did have that talent after and the team went south quick.
And it wasn’t just missing AJ.
Why is it head scratching?
Howie roseman out here destroying franchises 😭😂
Can a player just avoid the draft and sign undrafted with the team of their choice?
Such a disappointing and horrible move by the Titans. He was rebuilding the organization up and had them in position to draft their franchise quarterback. SMH
Google the owner’s career resume. Woman never had a job in her life before inheriting the Titans. Never did a single thing in her 70 years of life except be the president for a fox hunting club. It’s a complete joke
Im confused cant even follow everything tennessee did. What a mess 😂
The owner kept her pets. Never gave Ran the keys. But they were uncomfortable with Carthon.
Um-hmm.
🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦
The Titans are "all in"
How many of these teams are tanking for Arch Manning? Titans, Colts, Giants... None seem to be making "smart" moves.
Amy Adams Strunk needs to just sell the team and move on, unfortunately that's not gonna happen.
They got what they wanted!! Stadium is being built and they're no take backs!! The fans get effed as usual
Firing their head coach made no sense….
Titans and Giants will exchange pics as someone doesn’t wanna go to Nashville… not that Giants are something to cheer at…
The NFL has become to dependent on the QB. Teams live and die with their quarterback. Running doesn’t matter. Defense doesn’t matter. Just passing. QBs and receivers get the lions share of salary followed by pass rushers.
It's almost like owner Amy Adams Strunk has turned this team into a chick flick Lifetime movie disaster.
Time for Amy to sell. I've been a Titans fan from day 1 and I'm about at a breaking point with the decisions being made here.
Amy entering the category of a joke...
@@TacticalReconSquad she’s there!
The city feel this one ! This seems sketchy ! If you can’t see the back door stuff your blind
"If you can't see the back door, stuff your blind, OR, "If you can't see the backdoor stuff, you're blind." Do you see how frigging punctuation and spelling and grammar matter?
Wait there are NFL franchises worst than the Bears McCaskey organization? I am shocked
The bears have done this trend and for longer
Rich people with hobbies and toys. They dont need to know what they are doing
Like the head scratching firing of Mike Vrabel...it's just goofy!
Make Vrabel the GM
And let Derrick Henry walk!
Maybe Rog will make her sell the team.
Amy Adams runs this team just like a girl would. Her decisions are irrational and driven purely by emotion.
Cartoon was horrible and fired Vrabel. Glad he's gone.
I mean the current titans gm made some terrible moves. I would say this firing makes sense.
Elephant in the room.. Rich won't say it. If you're a black coach or gm.... you have to be damn near perfect at every turn.
Bs, get your race crap out of here.
Geno Smith got a decade to show he's an average QB.
If your in a job where only 64 total positions nationally exist, yeah you better be perfect...
he got a good, popular coach fired after winning the power struggle, only to crap the bed the next year... of course he is gone.
WHat are they doing.? Got rid of a deadbeat GM. Time to move on.
Im a Titans fan who is still ticked that Vrable was let go.
Casual. He was a long-time loser and egomaniac who couldn't develop film, much less a player. Remember Downing? Probably not. AJ deal was on his watch. Started Tanny for 3 straight Ls and looked like Levis. Kick rocks with that for real!
@bdozier2000 You are one of those "fans" that is always right and nobody can have a different opinion than you. I've watched this team for over 20 years, I'm no casual, I've made multiple trips to Nashville to watch the Titans.
@@bdozier2000When did you start watching the team 2016? Clueless take.
Some NFL teams are nothing more than a tax benefit for the owner. I’ve learned the Titans are one of them. It would take a whole new roster and a whole ownership change to change the culture of the Titans. Truly the Mud Dogs of the NFL
He built the worst team in the nfl its head scratching to think he should keep his job
Amy needs to go and let someone else be the owner. She's always making dumb moves and is so impatient.
How patient would you be if someone spent 200 million of you money on team like this?
He traded aj brown and drafted will levis. Fire him!!!!
Robinson traded aj
16-35 after trading AJ Brown
