A prairie breeze says something to me. It's a whisper of sweet memories and somehow holds the promise of the future. It makes me come alive. This is somewhat odd as I didn't grow up on the great plains and don't live there now. These brief encounters with the prairie wind are from times when I passed through on a road trip. Yet they left an indelible mark on me that I yearn to experience again. Maybe you'll feel the prairie breeze as you listen. Maybe not. But I hope it awakens in you that same hope the prairie breeze does in me.
