Thanks for a great tutorial. Just slow/ fast enough for someone who knows the very basics (only single stitch, actually). It's really perfect for impatient beginners!
Me: Alright I can do this I just need to look up the definitions of the terms I don't know and-- *0:42** happens* Me: *crying while curled up in a ball* I'm just a beginner have mercy
thanks mate! im quite late but i still thought id comment on how cute this cat is! im making a halloween crochet collection and this cat is perfect :)!
Ive read the comments and alot of ppl saif that its Difficult to understand but I found it very easy to understand I only made one bad mistake I have to cut where I had to cut off the ear.... but that was the only mistake I made the other stuff looks amazing!!! Thanks 😊
To everyone who says this isn’t slow enough or detailed enough for beginners, think that she means that it’s not super complicated, so beginners can make it. In my opinion, you should know the basic stitches and be able to crochet simple things before doing Amigurumi. I can understand how it may be frustrating because she says it’s beginner friendly in the description, but as I said before, I believe she means it’s a simple design, not that it’s for absolute beginners. Hope this helps and happy crocheting.
im a literal beginner and i managed to make an amigurumi triceratops as my second ever crotchet object. The youtuber explained it in great detail and showed clearly how to do it. this is just a bad vid/tutorial
I am a newbie, but been getting the hang of things fairly quickly, until this video. The cat is so adorable and I want to learn this well, but I can't till I see a much slower version. I had to run UA-cam at the slowest speed, couldn't see the stiches-mostly just the top of your fingers, had to look up a tutorial on the tail because as a beginner I struggled with that. I would have liked to see exactly how you decided to stich the body parts such as did you sew some of the back of the head or just the circle neck part? As a newbie I missed out on so much. Someone who gets it can fast forward. Pleaaaaase make a video for the newest of newbies! ❤
Pretty cute, I've made three of them now, just wondering, how do you make those cute lil' ones that are ginger and white? Tried doing it but it looked cacky.
Put the long tail yarn through a needle, run needle through loops of last 4 sts, draw tight. Now let me see that smile of achievement in your face! Happy crocheting. Regds
Sir, let her make the kind of video she wants, and you can make the kind of video you want. You sure are bossy and rude. Find a beginner video if you can’t keep up.
hey, i have a question. in the description, is the # in parenthesis how many times you repeat it or how many stitches there are in that step total??? please answer
I think you could but it would probably be a little harder to work with the thread/yarn. You might have a bit of trouble cause amigurmi's stitches are supposed to be a little tighter than your average crocheting but I would try it if you don't have a smaller one :)
After the loss of my sweet boy cat, I decided to make a crochet basket filled with all of my cats that I loved. This is really a great video, but it is not a learning video. Im an intermediate crocheter and I hate tying parts to any project...this unfortunately is one of those aaaggghhh projects. I found the feet very tight to crochet and tie on. I found another video that gave me an easier tail and feet.
I think it'd be much easier to combine the head and body into one piece. Instead of cutting off the yarn after finishing the body, you could pretend the 4 stitches remaining are the ones crom the head's magic loop, and simply make the head.
So what do I need to know how to do in order to understand this video? If I could actually see what was going on I could just mimic movements but (rightfully so) this video is moving fast.
Disclaimer on my explanatory skills: A double crochet is wrapping around the hook, going into the stitch, grabbing yarn and pulling through the stitch you came through. You should have three loops on your hook. Then wrap the yarn around the hook, pull through two loops, then wrap around the hook, and pull through two hooks and your done. The stitch she uses the most in this tutorial: A single crochet is where you just go into the stitch and pull yarn through the stitch, and wrap around hook, then pull through the two loops on your hook. Then your done.
This is definitely too hard for beginners. Most barely can’t even do a magic circle, yet you expect them to do that on top of all this? You need to next time do it MUCH slower and show how you made every single thing for people who aren’t as skilled. Otherwise, this is a wonderful project! I think it is very creative
Just a quick piece of constructive criticism. Maybe try using a better camera or less speed ups to help your audience watch how each stitch is made to help those who learn visually end with a better product.
Love this cat, but wish you would have taken the time to slow motion what you were doing...very dizzy after watching! Had to rewind MANY times to finish the project!
You should know the basics first, she shouldn’t have to explain every single stitch. It’s a simple pattern, which is why it’s for beginners. That being said, it’s not the first thing to watch if you want to learn crochet 😊
She shouldn’t have to explain every single stitch. People should learn the basics. Yes, it says for beginners in the description, because it’s a simple pattern
Love how you made this clear, but concise! I will be making at least one of these. So cute
Thanks for a great tutorial. Just slow/ fast enough for someone who knows the very basics (only single stitch, actually). It's really perfect for impatient beginners!

So cute, thank you for the inspiration
Love this little kitty...thank u so much!!
Very nice 😊👍
Pretty cute, I've made three of them now, just wondering, how do you make those cute lil' ones that are ginger and white? Tried doing it but it looked cacky.
I used the Lily Sugar'N Cream Ombre Yarn in Poppy!
Ah, thanks! I'll make few and put some of the pics here! You're pattern is great! :)
Does anybody know how she tied off the body? I can't seem to figure it out!
Nevermind I found out!
Put the long tail yarn through a needle, run needle through loops of last 4 sts, draw tight.

Ur cat is so handsome
+Ilayda Orankoy thank u, he's never worked out a day in his life -- he's just born with it.
Yes he is soooooo adorable
your crochet project is so cute pls make more stuff like this.....😀😀😀😀☺☺☺☺😊😊😊
Madam, dont ever pretend your viewers know what you are doing, make a slow part for newbies and put a video mark for those that already know

@@atebow exactly there’s even a written pattern for free in the description box
just finished mine ! thank you !!
Hi!! Can you tell me how tiny is in cm or inches? Thank you 🙂
Great video
+Hookingwithhounds Ann Thanks! :)

GIVE EM AS GIFTS ☺🎁
Lol I agree put them around your house and if someone asks tell them I don't know.
Sell them or make a stop motion with them
Sell them. It's a good way to make money.
Omg love this video so much! Please do more videos about crochet toys! Ur the best! ☺
Boa tarde amei seu trabalho é muito lindo mas faça mais devagar fica a dica 😘
Thanks, really cute!
You are a natural teacher, very well explained but when did you make the video go really fast I felted very dizzy :0(
I'm gonna definitely try these!
Amazing pattern 😀 tried it and came out well !
Thank you so much for the video 🥰
u should make the paws white!!!
What atitch do i use in the magic circle you just said 4 of them
Single crochet. In my experience, that’s all you do in the magic circle 😊
hey, i have a question. in the description, is the # in parenthesis how many times you repeat it or how many stitches there are in that step total??? please answer
i'm gonna assume it's the total, and that you just repeat until you get the total
it's the number of stitches you should have in your row in total!
Cute😉
Lovely. Thank you so much for sharing 🐨 from Australia
Ur really professional for ur first video also I love the little cat it's adorable!!!
Eu fiz ficou lindo , adorei obrigado
Can I sell cats I make with your pattern on my Etsy with credit to you for the pattern?
Absolutely! Let me know when you post them on your store, I'd love to see them :)
hi can u use a larger hook cuz I dont have teeny ones :D thnx
I think you could but it would probably be a little harder to work with the thread/yarn. You might have a bit of trouble cause amigurmi's stitches are supposed to be a little tighter than your average crocheting but I would try it if you don't have a smaller one :)
+Allison Yates Thank you :3
Thanks! He came out really cute. Is it okay if I sell this item on my Etsy shop? I will of course credit you and link to your video.
Wow! This is great! Thanks so much for the pattern, in the description, as well! 😄
Gracias por poner patrón por escrito. Es lindo

thanks for hearting this! btw, I made a brown version of this diy! >.< sooo cute! :3
So what do I need to know how to do in order to understand this video?
If I could actually see what was going on I could just mimic movements but (rightfully so) this video is moving fast.
Way too fast! could not understand what you were doing - please redo and slow down
2626firefly try slowing down the playback speed
There is a speed control feature in the video settings. Welcome!
I just made my first amigurumi 😃 The video was too fast but the written pattern helped!
Cant find written pattern now.
@@beckyfarmer5394 it’s in the description box
This video is great, but I'm a very beginner crocheter! Could someone please tell me how to do a double single crochet stitch?
Disclaimer on my explanatory skills:
A double crochet is wrapping around the hook, going into the stitch, grabbing yarn and pulling through the stitch you came through. You should have three loops on your hook. Then wrap the yarn around the hook, pull through two loops, then wrap around the hook, and pull through two hooks and your done.
The stitch she uses the most in this tutorial:
A single crochet is where you just go into the stitch and pull yarn through the stitch, and wrap around hook, then pull through the two loops on your hook. Then your done.
+Bunny Wentworth
Thank you so much. That helps. I couldn't see where the hook was going through on the video so Thankyou 😀
never in all my yrs. if crocheting have I heard of a double single
No I'm a beginner and I did it easily
She shouldn’t have to explain every single stitch. It’s called learning the basics
lindo gatito, pero como entiendo inglés y va muy rápido, pues menos entendí, sobre todo cuantas rondas de pb, realizó, gracias, felicidades
favorite animal can you do a ferret pls?
Just a quick piece of constructive criticism. Maybe try using a better camera or less speed ups to help your audience watch how each stitch is made to help those who learn visually end with a better product.
For some strange reason when i was finishing the body it got really tight
Love this cat, but wish you would have taken the time to slow motion what you were doing...very dizzy after watching! Had to rewind MANY times to finish the project!
Me encanto pero no se ingles.... Por FAS la traducción para poder hacerlo ya q apenas voy aprendiendo
i havent done any thing like this and based on how bad i am at this i dont think i will ever be able to .......please make a more descriptive tutorial
Max that thing
do some practice with the basics first, maybe try other crochet animal tutorials after you get better
taxu i kinda know the basic basics ,but idk how to work the hook
Watermelon's second channel what do you mean by ‘how to work the hook’?
I don't understand why you would do a tutorial and you just speed everything up and I don't know what you are doing 😞
There is a speed control feature in the video settings. Welcome!
Maybe because she expects people to know how to crochet? She says the stitches in the video
Too fast otherwise cute
i got too board to finnish
im in the middle of doing it but it is getting really tight but im too determined to quit
DONT make the stitches TOO TIGHT or TOO LOOSE 😁
Why dose the cat only have two feet ??? Is it a disabled kitty ??? Some cats are born that way or get hit by a car ,
You don’t see the back feet because of the tail, and when cats sit like that you don’t see their back feet.
And it’s does, not dose 😊
The head made no fucking sense
Tbh this would be better remade... way too fast and out of focus
I wish you could go a little slower to consider beginner crochet too. :( I can't seem to find an easy cat to crochet. (for beginners)
She shouldn’t have to explain every stitch. It’s a simple pattern, and that’s why it’s for beginners. 😊
Too fast could not understand what you were doing
There’s a written pattern in the description
to fast... a little slow would be better.
I didn’t learn anything from this since it was too fast to see what she was even doing.
You should know the basics first, she shouldn’t have to explain every single stitch. It’s a simple pattern, which is why it’s for beginners. That being said, it’s not the first thing to watch if you want to learn crochet 😊
Woah! Waaaaaay to fast this is defenetely not for begginers bcuz I have NOIDEA what was happening!
It’s a simple pattern so beginners can follow it, but she shouldn’t have to explain every single stitch in detail 😊
no don't help I had no clue what to do I give it a thumbs down
there's better directions in the description but ik what you mean
too fast
She shouldn’t have to explain every single stitch. People should learn the basics. Yes, it says for beginners in the description, because it’s a simple pattern
you are very quickly 😖
