I'm starting to understand why Ranni did what she did. Imagine her baring witness to all the nonsense that has been happening for so long. No wonder she went "Nah, this aint it."
I feel that Messmer is Godwyn's dualistic opposite, the Radagon to Marika. Specially since it does seem to be Godwyn in the opening of this trailer, using the Eclipse Motif from Castle Sol, a Dark Shadow that overtakes the Golden Sun. I believe Godwyn was supposed to usher forth Messmer into the Lands Between, but Ranni stepped in. I think Ranni choosing Godwyn was to be a direct blow against Messmer, thus part of Marika's plan from the start.
Ranni did pretty much the exact same thing, though. She caused so much chaos that pretty much geno'd the entire population. No doubt someone else will rise up and see what Ranni is done and butcher her to end her order one day too.
@@stephenjenkins7971 Its been a while, but wasn't that exactly what her ending addresses though? She set the basic rules, then took the ring and fucked off into the cosmos so nobody in the lands between could ever get hands on it again, ending the constant feuding over that power.
Some speculation: 1.the first shot and the one with the lady kneeling is the dolem eye queen. 2.the guy impaled on the stairs looks like Godfrey 3.perhaps st.trina is now a separate being
Messmer strikes me as a coldblooded sociopath, both from these visuals of him committing genocide with a smirk, and from the tones and inflections of the last trailer. He is basically Vlad the Impaler meets Pyro with mommy issues. No doubt he was the only one who would be capable of carrying out such a clandestine and dirty operation, not even caring about not recieving any laurels for it as long as he got to cause pain and display his enemies corpses. This would also explain why Marika had to lock him away forever to maintain her image and keep his tendencies on a leash.
What in the goddamn was that scene at the beginning? What IS Marika?! 2:10 that is Messmer's theme for sure. Also, that Miquella theme sounds SO triumphant, my god!
@@TheClocktowerCrew It's definitely Marika. Has her bracelets and armbands, as well as her hair being tinged red as if she was transitioning either from Radagon back into Marika, or from Marika into Radagon.
My Guesses (obvious stuff I know, but please): 1. Seduction and betrayal/affair birthing gold - obviously Marika and Godfrey. 2. A war unseen - complete annihilation of anything associated with the crucible. Likely happens after Godfrey is banished. Questions: What did Messmer do to earn the Golden Order's enmity (assumption is based on snakes depicting a traitor)? Did he get too big for his breeches, or was this the same as with Godfrey? In relation to point 2: why are the Crucible Knights still around? DID Messmer do an actual betrayal and did they stop him?
1:30 its interesting that this person is Godwyn the Golden, the strands of Miquella's hair he's holding and offering up in this Berserk-esque sequence is the Eclipse motif found in Castle Sol. The Darkening of the Sun, the Shadow Overtaking the Golden Sun. Messmer is the Opposite of Godwyn the Golden, the Radagon to Marika. The Story of Messmer will tell us the story of Godwyn, and I believe Messmer is the reason why Ranni did what she did.
Togethaaaaaaa we shall play this dlc in a month

I don't know that she was born for this specifically

@@TheClocktowerCrew it's definitely Marika at the start, the bracelets on her wrist and upper arm match those shown in the opening cutscene 1 to 1

I disagree, I think the entity in the beginning is Godwyn the Golden, who I believe to be Messmer's Dualistic opposite
@@TheClocktowerCrew i don't see it cause,it looks like stitched skin. That Marika takes the hair from.i might be wrong will have to take a look
@@TheClocktowerCrew double checked it is definitely Marika, the outfit and her signature armbands give her away
It wouldn't make sense for Godfrey to be there but we shall see when this DLC actually releases
@@memeseller9444 I said " looks like" also the way they both been impaled is very There might be a meaning to this
Mesmer 🤝 Vlad

"we are Miquella simps" I can't even play this game, why the hell do you think I am here lmfao
Bro you work quick, dropped this like an hour after the trailer. Great vid though!
2:03 L-Ludwig the Accursed/the Holy blade?
it was an eye that was shown in the first secends.
This is going to be glorious.
