(Och den som ska vara ett smart-ass och säga att det är en BM 55 ... jag vet att kylarmaskeringen kommer från en sådan.)
That's a Russian tank engine probably from a T34 or a T54or T55. There is no turbo on it as obvious by the open headers so it's actually doing around 500-520hp. They can be started by starter motor or as seems in this case by compressed air. The tanks have a compressed air tank in the hull behind the driver. The engines are quite lightweight for their size being made of aluminium. I've heard they were originally designed in the 30s for powering airships,hence the lightweight.
We have 5 russian tanks in our group "Dilligaf Squad" so I'm pretty confident on this one. Having said that it is still an awesome big boys toy. Love it.
Diesel was make in 1936 for aviations (heavy bomber). But 500hp was not enougt for flying. Engine goes to T-34, KV-1 with different power. Use in this days for T-90, marines and trucks. Power from 300 to 1300hp and multi fuel. Time machine.

If so, it's less than, say, Volvo FH 16
On Idle it can go 160kmh uphill, at full throttle is have been clocked at Mach 4.

You cant control that much power in a tractor like that, that's why he is driving slow
falatalane It's a tank engine, so power isn't that high, however torque is monstrous, you don't want to be out of control of that kind of torque.

will name Yeah Diesel's run a higher compression ratio and thus produce a higher torque level. :)

Bakkroppen är 470 Bison, resten är ihopplock. Å andra sidan kan det hända att BM 55 och Bison har samma bakkropp, har för mig att jag läst det någonstans.
