One of the greatest songs to listen to before any type of sports of match. Especially shinty and hurling
This is the theme song for a protagonist in the book I'm writing. I'm so glad I found this version. The original was way too short
I couldn't agree more, it's way to short on the album but I suppose that's a good thing as it always makes you want more
This is a wonderful extension of the Paul Mounsey Runrig collaboration and is bloody glorious ....
One of my favorite songs from the Legendary RUNRIG👍👍👍
That Roman Legionnaire upon seeing a giant deer forest deity after being captured: Jupiter help me
RUNRIG!!!!!! My home grown band this is my theme for my Final fantasy 14 play . flying the flag for scotland .
Haha king, you showed me that song when we were playing ff
SO. AWESOME!!!! I once used it for my Irish Dancing Troupe. Works fine with Hornpipe steps. The music carried me. Goosebumps.
Never knew this song until you played it while streaming :) now i can't stop listening to it .
Let all Scots beware the loss of their language, absolutely tragic lyrics and meaning behind this song, are you doing your bit for your culture? its on Duolingo, learn it!! day by day, little by little you can learn enough for day to day use
I’ve been having success with that old BBC show, Speaking our Language. The whole thing is up on UA-cam for free.
Our language trashed by jealous Westminster, our culture along with it, by a late comer English, with sod all culture, bent on ruining all culture, where ever they went. At school the children punished for using our language, no other reason for decline, the language of Eden fighting back both Goidolic and Brythonic, !!
With great difficulty, we awaken from our slumber.
"Am faod mi aon oran a chur air na speakers, mas e do thoil e?"
Taobh cùl an dorais cha bhi grian
Suidh aig bòrd
Cha bhi biadh 's cha bhi fìon
Taobh cùl an dorais cha bhi grian
Cha bhi biadh 's cha bhi fìon
Le èiginn ar n-èirigh às ar suain
Le èiginn ar n-èirigh às ar suain
An Gàidheal 'sa leabaidh
An Gàidheal 'na shuain
Le èiginn ar n-èirigh às ar suain
Thàinig e à Sasainn ann
Thàinig e
Le eachaibh luath is iuchair throm
Thàinig e à Sasainn ann
Le eachaibh luath is iuchair throm
Le èiginn ar n-èirigh às ar suain
Le èiginn ar n-èirigh às ar suain
An Gàidheal 'sa leabaidh
An Gàidheal 'na shuain
Le èiginn ar n-èirigh às ar suain
Air làr 'san toll-dhubh cha bhi grian
Cha bhi gealach
'S dubh an oidhche chaidleas sinn
Air làr 'san toll-dhubh cha bhi grian
'S dubh an oidhche chaidleas sinn
Le èiginn ar n-èirigh às ar suain
Le èiginn ar n-èirigh às ar suain
An Gàidheal 'sa leabaidh
An Gàidheal 'na shuain
Le èiginn ar n-èirigh às ar suain
The lyrics aren't mine, I claim no ownership of such either the lyrics are for informative purposes only.
I almost got the whole lyrics right aswell. Been singing it for the last few days haha
Behind the door there will be no Sun.
At the table
There'll be no food or wine.
Behind the door there will be no Sun,
There'll be no food or wine.
We must rise from our slumber,
We must rise from our slumber:
The Gaels in bed,
The Gaels who are asleep -
We must rise from our slumber!
He came from England.
He came
With fast horses and a heavy key.
He came from England
With fast horses and a heavy key.
We must rise from our slumber,
We must rise from our slumber:
The Gaels in bed,
The Gaels who are asleep -
We must rise from our slumber!
On the dungeon floor there will be no Sun.
There will be no Moon -
Dark will be the night as we sleep.
On the dungeon floor there will be no Sun,
Dark will be the night as we sleep.
We must rise from our slumber,
We must rise from our slumber:
The Gaels in bed,
The Gaels who are asleep -
We must rise from our slumber!
Suas a rithist, an spioraid na hAlba
Música que te transporta a otra dimensión.
Gle mhath!

Down in the black hole there will be no sun
Air lar 'san toll dhubh cha bhi grian
There will be no moon
Cha bhi gealach
and the night is black we sleep
's dubh an oidhche chaidleas sinn
Down in the black hole there will be no sun
Air lar 'san toll dhubh cha bhi grian
and the night is black we sleep
's dubh an oidhche chaidleas sinn
With some reason, he gets up from his sleep
Le eiginn are n-eirigh as are suain
With some reason, he gets up from his sleep
Le eiginn are n-eirigh as are suain
The gadfly and his bed
An gaidheal 's a leabaidh
The gaediel is sleeping
An gaidheal na shuain
Somehow they wake up from their sleep
Le eiginn are n-eiridh as are suain
Was the Roman from the 9th Legion??
Haven't heard this one before but I would recommend it. Has that native American style
Or Native Hawaiian
It's gaelic celtic to be precise (I think)
@@SurfieExtends oh Gaelic, have you heard of the band Eluveitie they sing in that language, at least to their best ability.
Yes I know haha! ^^
@@Coast_dweller_of_DayZ_Temp no that band sings in the extinct language of Gaulish which was spoken in continental Europe (or more specifically a version that was spoken in Switzerland). This on the other hand is the Gaidhlig language that was spoken by 75% of the people in Scotland 200 years ago, but is now only spoken by a very small amount of people on islands off the Western coast of Scotland. Both of these languages have vague similarities because they are both Celtic languages, but saying they are the same is like saying Dutch and Norwegian are the same language because they're both Germanic.
What is the picture?
I don't know I wondered that too when I saw the image. It looks like a Roman Centurion being brought by Celtic Soldiers into the woods to meet their living God in the woods. As mortals we often fight over our God's greatness and power over the world and perhaps this is the proof this soldier needed that their God is real. It is a really cool image It speaks a thousand words.
It looks like celtic warriors bringing a roman invader (my interpretation) to Cernunnos, the horned god of the woods, father of the land, the plants, trees and animals.
Two Pictish Warriors dragging an invading Roman of the 9th Legion, for what ever reason!! Idir trial? sacrifice??
We sent the Romans to think again..... Scotland is ours
If the romans wanted, they could conquer both ireland and scotland, they were not intrested
