I love how you were like “oh and we also went whale watching” and revealed a beautiful photo of a whale breaching.

What a fabulous trip! Lived in Vancouver for years and have seen the northern parts of Vancouver Island, but never the opportunity to see grizzly bears! Inspiring to get on the ocean again!! You and your wife are Explorers!

Awesome that you can get the photos from a boat, safe and they came out beautiful

Nice! You are lucky you have a boat. I've been living in Vancouver for 25 years and never seen a bear...:(

Incredible journey - thanks for sharing! You planned it out perfectly yet adjusted for weather and other elements out of your control!

What did you think? Was the effort worth the results?

It sure was!!! I'm starting to get into photography too! I just bought a Nikon D5600 Last Month! I know, it's not a D850 or anything, but its hopefully going to get me to the next checkpoint in my Photography Journey!!

Tim, I enjoyed the adventure. Thank you for sharing it with us.
However, I would appreciate it if you would show us the unedited photos you obtained straight from the camera before any post processing is applied. For example, when the video is interlaced with still photos you took of a scene on the video, there’s sometimes too drastic a difference between what we’re seeing on the video and what you’re showing us on the still photo, leading me to believe that the still photo of the same scene we’re seeing is post-processed.
It would be more educational and beneficial for us to see how the scene on the video actually appears on the photo with ONLY the exposure settings obtained from the camera light meter for that particular shot. In other words, what did the camera, and ONLY the camera, give you for that shot at that moment in time?
On the other hand, if my assumption about the still photos being post-processed is wrong and they were indeed straight off the camera, then please accept my apology. Keep up the great work!
    Thank you!

Does anyone know why the Sony a6000 always gets spots on the mirror shortly after cleaning, and not even removing, at the beach? Thanks
