As a social worker I hate to hear an aunt and uncle treating their nieces and nephews this way. This uncle has no balls. Both of them need to face consequences. Hurts me that in this country people are still this greedy.

This story is disgusting. It makes me so angry!! Most angry at the Uncle who did not protect the kids. If he loved the kids as much as he claims, he would have been the first person to protect them. Him marrying the second wife to get back at his first wife was his excuse to make him feel good about himself only.
Completely agree. This is America, there is help everywhere for the children!!! Having a 2nd wife will not solve the problem. Yet he allowed the torture to prolong while him and his wife eat the children’s monthly income.

First of all, this man was making excuse for himself to marry a 2nd wife. He didn’t love his brother’s kids as much as he claimed. He blamed everything on his 1st wife and make himself appear innocent. He allowed the abuse to happen because he was lazy and relied on her to do every thing. He allowed them to get abuse until they’re all old enough to defend themselves.

Easier said than done. This was probably back in the day too when it was harder for Hmong women.

Second, even living in the US in this day and age, a lot of Hmong still think and do the same things their parents and ancestors did hundreds, thousands of years ago. Sadly, if im correct, it did not look like the court was even involved. It's the Hmong tradition and ideology that has failed these kids. Hmong people still has a long way to go if there is still people who still think like this.
