One thing you will learn quickly about Shinee is that they cross over all the different genres. They are known as SM's experimental group, give them any genre and they're gonna slay!!!
The member who passed away is Jonghyun and he is the boy with the gold jacket... today marks the anniversary of his passing. Jonghyun was a singer, composer, writer and radio DJ... a true artist. He wrote many songs for shinee (like juliet, selene 6.23,odd eye) but also for other artists (Lee Hi,IU and many others) shinee have so many songs that then they became true icons. They revolutionized the k-pop industry many times.
Just a small correction: SHINee's song is called "Juliette," however SHINee have covered the western pop song "Juliet" by LMNT on a music program called Muzit in 2010.
The Korean version of "Love Like Oxygen" was released as the lead promotional track on SHINee's first full-length album The SHINee World in August 2008. It was their first release after their debut single "Replay" in May 2008. Fun fact: They also released a Japanese version of "Love Like Oxygen" in 2011 as part of the group's Japanese debut. Taemin (with the hat) had just turned 15 years old right before this MV was released. Onew (in the green) -- pronounced Oh-new in English or On-New with a Korean accent. His real name is Lee Jinki. He was given the stage name Onew because he has a very calm, soft and gentle personality and Onew sounds like a combination of the Korean words that mean soft and gentle -- and Jonghyun (in yellow and gold) were 18 here and Key (in pink and red) and Minho (in blue) were 16. SHINee's level of professionalism and maturity was there from the very beginning -- there were only 2 or 3 months between "Replay" and "Love like Oxygen." :D It's just SHINee's style, they are constantly switching up the feel and vibe with every song you hear from them. As you may have noticed, you didn't hear Taemin sing very much in this song. In SHINee's early days Taemin didn't have a whole lot of lines in their songs and he was mostly just given big dance breaks during his parts of the song. As you can probably tell, one of the things SHINee are known for is their harmonies, and they have one of the best 5-part harmonies in the industry. That is one of the reasons why they are known as a top vocal group and why they are so admired by their peers. Their harmonies are unmatched. And this was baby SHINee, just think how good their harmonization have become now that their voices have matured. Just wait until you hear them perform "Love Like Oxygen" live, now that they fully understand how to present the full range of their vocal color. :D You will be blown away. Jonghyun's MJ style growl is sort of his signature style, and it is one of the things he has become known for. You will also hear it more if you watch some of SHINee's live performances. To sum up exactly what SHINee's style is: they are vocal powerhouses that create universally popular pop songs. :D As you will start to realize, when it comes to SHINee, you can't expect anything except that it will be uniquely SHINee and probably one of the best songs and performances you will ever experience. Every song that SHINee has ever released is unlike any other and it won't sound or look like anything you have ever seen from them, including the songs on the same album. It's part of the group's experimental concept, they are expected to come up with something that has never been seen or heard before with every comeback. That's why they have such a big influence on the music industry, even from day one. Songs like "Love Like Oxygen" are a good example of SHINee being trendsetters. For example: > They are one of the first groups to start the trend of colored skinny jeans and form-fitting outfits that showed off their athletic psychics for male idols. Before SHINee, the trend was hip-hop style with baggy clothing that was 3 times too big. (SHINee started the boyfriend/student look.) Their fashion trends have been given the name "SHINee Trend." > They have been first to set records when it comes to winning awards -- first group to win more than 3 times in a row on music shows, Onew was the first to ever be given "the best leader" award at Melon Music awards (voted for by his peers who were in other groups), first to sweep all the top awards at every award show in a single season coining the phrase "Rookie Grand slam," etc. > They were one of the first groups to have sharp precise synchronized dance moves and to show the world that they could sing live while performing complex choreography and sound flawless. Because of SHINee, everyone upped their standard when it comes to live performances and choreography. >They were the very first group to release a dance practice video specifically so fans could see the full dance with their song "Lucifer" in 2010, and they were the first to have a dance practice video become a trending video online. They are the reason why dance practice videos are a thing today. > Jonghyun was one of the first IDOLS to be recognized as a singer/songwriter, and to produce songs for not only himself and his group, but for other artists as well. Jonghyun was highly respected within the industry for his songwriting and composing skills and he was considered one of the most prolific artists of his generation. About 40% of SHINee's songs were written by him, as well as all of his own solo songs and several songs for other artists, such as EXO, Taemin, IU, Lee HI, etc. > Jonghyun was the first SM artist to have a fully self-written album and to be given complete artistic control over his work. > And SHINee pretty much starts almost every trend in the music industry when it comes to the sound and style of their music. And every song they release is designed to be something that has never been seen or heard before. > SHINee are also often the ones to start the next dance style or trend in the Kpop industry with their choreography. > They were one of the first groups to use a world-famous choreographer to create their dance for their "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" MV. "Sherlock" was the first time SM (or pretty much anyone in the Kpop industry) had ever used a famous choreographer. > Taemin was one of SM's first members from an active group to debut solo. > They are also the group that is most likely to appear on the first episode or on the pilot episode of a new variety show or TV program, and it is said, that it's good luck to have SHINee on the show first because that means it will be a success. > With SHINee's "Don't Call Me" comeback in 2021, Key started the "ending fairy" trend on music shows where idols come up with unique and/or funny poses at the end of their performances. > Minho's solo debut in 2022 made SHINee the first SM group to have all their members debut solo. > For the 2024 Summer Olympics Minho was the first person to be given the title of Olympic Friend, appointed by the International Olympic Council, to help promote international sportsmanship.
It was part of the company's rebranding. They moved all their most popular content from their old SM Ent. UA-cam channel to their new SMTown channel in 2011. Fun fact: the old YT channel is still around and you can watch some of the company's really old, cringy and nostalgic reality/variety show, advertisements and MV content, etc. from all the OG groups on that channel.
You have to remember that he is new to SHINee, so you need to explain that "Excuse Me Miss" is a B-side song, so he needs to watch their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul performance. If he just checks out a lyric video, they don't say their names in the actual song. :D
Thank you for this reaction ❤️
Thanks for your reaction ❤😊the amazing Shinee💎💎💎💎💎

The names are Onew (pronounced O-new), Jonghyun (our forever angel), Key, Minho and Taemin.
This actually came out 2008, sm re-uploaded all their videos in 2011 for some reason. See you next time.
Ah gotcha ty for the correction 🫰🏼
SM opened a new UA-cam channel in 2011 and re-uploaded all of their old content.
It was part of the company's rebranding. They moved all their most popular content from their old SM Ent. UA-cam channel to their new SMTown channel in 2011. @ofra @milinda your the best ❤️
@@milindawilson9175 Including the video of Roo (Jonghyun's dog) which Jonghyun hacked the SM UA-cam channel to upload... twice...
watch excuse me miss it will help you with their names...
