Thank you for watching our ear wax removal video today. The ear wax extraction featured in todays video was carried out using endoscopic microsuction. This procedure uses a small camera called an endoscope to visualise inside the ear canal whilst a small suction tube is inserted to gently remove ear wax.
All the ear wax cleaning videos you see on our channel are carried out by our ear wax specialists Mr Rhys Barber and Mr Taylor Green.

Ear wax plays a vital role in ear health. It helps to prevent ear infection and helps with ear cleaning by picking up any dirt or debris that accumulates in the ear canal. Normally this ear wax would fall out of the ear taking any dirt or debris with it.
    How to remove ear wax?
Many people use q-tips/cotton buds for ear wax removal at home this is one of the worst things you can put into the ear as this can lead to an increased ear wax buildup or in extreme cases impacted ear wax. The best way to remove ear wax is to let your ears clean themselves and not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ears!
How do I know if I have an earwax blockage?
If you experience a change in your hearing, discomfort in the ear or jaw or a feeling of fullness in the ear canal you may have an ear wax blockage. Our advice is to speak to your Doctor or local Audiologist who can take a look in your ears and assess whether ear cleaning is needed.

Hi guys, I didn't know about suction for ear wax removal until I these videos. I have awful memories of having my ears washed out with a syringe big enough to artificially inseminate a cow. It was always uncomfortable and often didn't work, just blocked my ears for days. Looking at these videos, I think it's time I had my ears checked. What are your thoughts on the ear wax removal drops? Do they work? I watch your videos and listen to your commentary and enjoy your enthusiasm for your work. New subscriber.

I fear I would be a nightmare patient for you lovely gents. I tested extremely high range for hearing capacity, normal for the low range but well above normal for high range, and for the longest time I had no idea why. But I had an illness that brought be to an ENT specialist and he looked into my ears and had dickens of a time trying to see my eardrum, and I asked why he told me my ear canals take an unusual turn toward the anterior of my skull, in both ear canals they both turn forward towards my face. not only that but my ear canals are quite narrow, so much so that he had a real hard time seeing my full eardrum and he was forced to push his optic posterior-wise which caused me a great deal of discomfort, in an effort to see the drum. even so he still couldn't fully see the whole drum. Whenever I buy any in ear headphones, I have to switch both rubber earpieces to the smallest ones provided and they still feel tight for me, so it would be a tough job for ANY audiologists to clear my ears if they ever became clogged like what I see in your videos, which is why I pay very close attention to maintaining good ear health. and fortunately for me I did not inherit my father's excess ear wax production, otherwise I'd wager I would be mostly deaf most of the time. As for the shape of my ear canal, I have no idea if I inherited the trait from one of my parents or if it is some sort of recessive trait from somewhere further back in the bloodline. But all I know is that I can hear EVERYTHING when in a quiet environment. I had an acreage about a decade ago and when on the farm we had a Mouse problem, which is normal for rural life, but I could hear the mice inside the walls and attic scurrying around and fighting with each other. clear as a bell and my wife would always ask me what I was constantly looking at. But I knew of her fear of mice so I would just pretend that I was simply hearing things until one day I told her the truth and she got a look of total relief on her face and vocally expressed gratitude to Deity, because we are both very religious and she thought for sure I was seeing ghosts or spirits and hiding the fact from her to make her feel better, even though she never saw or heard anything out of the ordinary, herself. Sometimes a woman's intuition isn't too far off the mark, she knew I was keeping something from her, but her guess was wildly of the mark. So, when I finally told her about how good my hearing was and what I was hearing she was relieved and grossed out all at the same time! LOL Sorry, I just had to share that with you. But I'm not like that other Canadian patient that came to visit you, although I would LOVE to visit England, I wouldn't want to put you two gentlemen through the misery to try and clean my Hockey stick shaped ear canals! although I WOULD bring you a bunch of Canadian goodies, Like Coffee Crisp chocolate bars and various flavored Crisps (potato chips) and some hard candies as well as a few hats from my favorite football team and a few Canadian trinkets with the Maple Leaf on them. I actually sometimes go to the British specialty shops to get some goodies as well, and the one thing I miss terribly, that I used to get for a Birthday meal, was the tins of Beef steak and kidney pies that are wrapped in Phyllo pastry. Man, I miss those, but ever since Britain had that unfortunate outbreak of mad cow disease in the late 1970s and 80s, all British beef products have been banned from being imported so my beloved steak and kidney pies are never to be had again, unless I can travel to Britain myself to go and have them in person. My mother and myself tried several times to duplicate the recipe but none of it was ever satisfactory compared to that Canned specialty meal. perhaps you know of what I am speaking of. it's sold in a wide flat tin the size of a medium sized plate and you simply use the can opener to take the top off, and then put it into the oven and bake it for 45 minutes in its own tin. what a great tasting meal, I still miss it although I was but a boy when I had it for Birthday meals. I wonder if it is still available there, or not? if you by chance make it all the way through this ridiculously long comment let me know if it is still available, just for old time memories. Cheer lads, love your channel! Keep up the great work!
