    His emergence as an historian and political thinker has occurred in my absence, being an expat for the last 30 years. His effect upon me is a combination of my maturing and development as a man, however, I am continually shocked by his courage and integrity. He is, to my mind, a must read, his books required reading of History students at every level. He leaves me alarmed and alive to the fraught times that we ignore.

    I find myself in agreement with his points on the loss of civic education and centralization of executive power and look forward to this new book on the Obama administration. ....

    It's almost like he's psychic ..but that's what history does. He's wonderful
