Winter at Meijer Gardens! Join me for a stroll through the Orchid Show and the beautiful glass house

- Meijer Gardens is a world-class public garden and sculpture park in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They had an Orchid show going on today so we thought we would check it out and film a little stroll through it all so you could enjoy it from wherever life finds you these days~~ If you get the chance, be sure to visit! It is amazing anytime of year, but especially in the spring and fall. #cheers

I live about 40 minutes from Grand Rapids and have been to Frederick Meijer Gardens many times. It's beautiful ! They also have butterflies in the spring, Christmas trees set up from many lands. Summer outdoor concerts. Well worth a stop.
Can’t tell you what year it was in the 2000s but I walked by the bench with my triplet grandsons and there sitting on the bench in the exact pose was a man . Lo and behold it was Fred Meijer himself. We all laughed together. It’s a lovely place!

Jack THANK YOU very much for this lovely tour of a facility I had no knowledge of! I will Google the family to learn more and will recommend it to family members in Michigan. This was a nice respite from our current weather situation in the seacoast of NH. Our temp is currently 0 degrees with an extreme wind chill warning!

Orchids in January? Yes, please and thank you for sharing. It’s always lovely to see beautiful orchids blooming during the dark, dreary days of Winter. The next time I go through Grand Rapids, I’ll be sure to stop and visit.

We visited the gardens in September last year. It was beautiful at every turn! So much to see outside we decided to save a visit to the conservatories for the colder months. Highly recommend a visit, even if it’s a little out of your way!

In the summer, they fill the greenhouses with butterflies~ and do a lot of hand pollination too….
