it was a great pitch the only problem i have is Argomon. in the original story of Ken: Ryo Akiyama and he were trying to stop Millenniummon. Changing that seems to be a shame. it also disconnects a story that could be. "What happened to Ryo?" is the question younger ken ask Geini who replied, "Ryo will always be there3 when the digital world needs him to be.
" shortly after this Ken became the Digimon Kaiser. Argomon should still be there but maybe as a higher tear foot soldier of Zeed Millenniummon.

If I understand stand the context behind the question, and please forgive me, if I may have misunderstood or misinterpreted your question, the writers of the series have at least from what I can tell, based on my own research, have interwoven into the story enough non fictional elements to give the lore behind Digimon, the Digital World, and now, Holy Digimon some sense of logic that gives the lore credibility and relevance to the subject matter being discussed. The Digimon Franchise, for what it is, and especially the audience to whom it is targeted, is well ahead of its time, and touches on subjects that are also relevant to much older viewers such as myself.
Since the 02 gang have Holy Digimon reincarnations as their partners, I'm not sure if DNA digivolution would be necessary. I imagine each of the partner Digimon would have their own unique Ultimate and Mega forms this time around.
Or they could DNA digivolve, but this time the pairs get switched in every episode so all friendships get developed instead of only three friendships. For example, Takeru and Miyako learning from each other how to handle family issues.
I would LOVE to see this concept! The reboot gives us so many ways to reimagine the cast and alternate evolutions
This idea is actually surprisingly solid, i deeefinitely would enjoy seeing how the plot would progress in the anime
I'm one of the few people, as it seems, who liked Meiko and Meicoomon, so I like the idea of bringing her back. All of that sounds great, especially making it a plot point that Ken was (maybe) led to believe that he was destined for greatness; or maybe he actually was destined to be evil, with Argomon being his partner at first and Wormmon helping him overcome his destiny and embracing his inner kindness.
Or what if in the first or second arc, they defeat ken and argomon. Then ken becomes good and argomon becomes an egg and having been purified, wormmon hatches from it.

There should 100% be teases that Tai is the Digimon Emperor.
Also the dark spores should be used as an attempt to try and make dark counters to the digidestined. Basically the only difference from the original is the kids get their partners early.

Tai should not be brainwashed into becoming the Digimon Emperor. That's part of KEN's arc. Meanwhile, the dark spores used as an attempt to try and make dark counters to the DigiDestined, is a good idea. I can picture some of the minor characters like Noriko, Keiko or Hiroku having gotten their Digimon shorty after Davis, Yolei, Ken and Cody got theirs, hiding them in plain sight until Arukenimon finds them and begins helping the main antagonists of the show brainwash them, their evil personalities beginning to take over and threaten to endanger their Digimon or dark digivolve them into mindless beasts! That could be arc 3 prior to the DigiKnow's Revenge of Argomon finale.
No! That's not what I mean, I agree Tai shouldn't be brainwashed. But he should be teased as the Digimon Emporor as a red herring.
Before Ken's identity is revealed or we know what happened to Tai there should be clues that Tai is the Digimon Emporor, motivating the team to try & rescue him but when they do get him BAM it's not Tai it's Ken

With a 02 reboot I think it'd be cool if Ken and Davis both fell to darkness. Kinda explore a twisted version of courage/friendship and a warped view of kindness. Instead of ExVeemon, it could turn into like a VeeDemon (crap name but it fits for a more demonic type evolution). Have the two form the dark version of imperialdramon from tri. Maybe have Davis and Kari meet in the real world while everything else has been in the digital world and their friendship and possible romantic interests start leading to Davis starting to change only for his jealousy to push him beyond what even Ken would do.
Man I would love to see a Digimon 02 reboot. I love Ichijouji ken and Stingmon. The Jogress Evolution theme was so badass in that series. The original Digimon 02 can get quite deep sometimes
My guess would be that midway through the season, a General Ripper would blame the destined for the Digimon attacks back in 2020 plus the nuke attack, and would probably fuel the fear between races
A few quick notes here, I always kind of felt that Adventure 02 was leaning a bit heavily on the original Digimon Adventure, almost like it was afraid to try standing on its own, which is why I think it was a mistake to make TK/Takeru and Kari/Hikari as part of the core cast. I think it would have been better for the series to pull back them back into an advisory-type role where they are there when the other kids need them to help them with a few problems but mostly be there to help guide the other kids while not being directly involved in their adventures.
This would also be a great opportunity to bring in some other kids to fill the slots that TK and Kari left open, so Willis and Meiko could come in to fill the positions TK and Kari had in Adventure 02, and I'm aware this would completely change the dynamics, and even have an effect other aspects of the series. But I firmly believe the original Digidestined and the successor Digidestined have that clear boundary. The original Digidestined being there to help out with words of guidance or join in a fight every now and then, but for the most part, the original team all taking a backstage role in the Adventure 02 reboot would be more fitting. I also think that having the Digitama's that act as the catalyst and focus for Evolutions to the Armor stage should probably be dispersed a bit more; Yolei, for instance, had a similar role to Izzy/Koshiro but never got the Digitama/DigiEgg of Knowledge, as the only other female besides Kari she was saddled with Love and Sincerity, I think Sincerity worked as her other Digitama, but she seemed far more suited to Knowledge when you took a look at her personality, Davis got Courage and Friendship sole by merit of him being the first of the New kids to pop up and start the whole cycle, and I do think Courage works for Davis, he's very much like Tai in being that hot-blooded figure that can inspire others and is willing to make himself into the shield for others but it felt like Friendship didn't work with him, Friendship seemed more suited to one of the other kids like Cody or Yolei (both of them showed far more in common with Matt/Yamato). They're just so many missed opportunities to play mix-and-match with the DigiEggs and the DigiDestined of Adventure 02, and I think if/when the reboot happens, they should take those risks and pair off the DigiEggs noticeably different than what was done in the original Adventure 02.
i think it works fine that TK/Kari had chosen to get more involved this time around considering they were just kids/smaller originally. This time, they actually can take more initiative which is why they don't just go to side, if anything it would be better to keep this, but make their decisions conflict with Daisuke and then lead him to being considered leader as opposed to being the leader upfront because he's a Tai expy to an extent. Also, while I do think they should let the digimetals be used between different people, I would say it's better to have their be ones that they're most synced with, with using other digimetals as well if they can understand the virtue of the digimetal kind of like how it is in games/other media. Daisuke also definitely fits better as a the Friendship model of the group given how he's treated in the more serious episodes with Ken and the end of the season.
I say the armor digieggs aren’t inculded, but the armor forms are alternative champion forms, expect for the two golden digieggs, and the digiegg of darkness, which i say are infact important.
I was thinking about that remake since forever ! So I have so much to say, even if I agree at 300% with your speech !
Like you, I always thought that the missing holy digimon were linked to the sequels cast !!

Ophanimon -> Hikari
Cherubimon -> Wallace
Rasielmon -> Mei
but I also thought that
SlashAngemon -> Daisuke
Varudamon -> Miyako
ClavisAngemon -> Iori
I can really see those three having lost all their powers during the previous war and fell asleep under the Digitama (where they could be awaken by the 02 Cast). Not sure, however, if I would like them to return to their original holy form... I think it would be great to have all of them reaching new form instead (UlforceVeedramon for Veemon, a new holy Dino for Armadillomon, Ravemon for Hawkmon maybe?)
We are still missing Ken and Wormmon, but due to Ken having his own new crest, the crest of Kindness, it feels more like it was a previous warrior (like Rosemon, WarGreymon & such) who "missed the call" last season. OR we could have a special episode/movie telling us his adventures during that time (maybe he was stuck in the digital world, like the other, but they never knew/found him).
For a season 2022, I would also LOVE to see the digitama passed around !! Would love to see Hikari used the Egg of Courage (her brother's) or have Miyako use the Egg of Kindness (her futur husband's). Having more freedom to make them passed around my be the perfect time to properly explain the crest, what Adventure 2020 barely did. Daisuke is the most Courageous, that's why he often activate the Egg of Courage, but maybe, in one episode, Miyako have a hugely courageous moment, and activate the crest herself. It also could be fun, maybe in one episode, to have the original cast activating their egg too (Agumon with the Egg of Courage, Koushiro with the Egg of Knowledge and so on...). After all, we can softly re-con the Ponchomon episode as the time when Mimi activate the Egg of Sincerity (which might be located nearby, who knows ?). Not sure, however, if I would keep the Jogress evolution, out of Imperialdramon.
One very important thing we need for this season season, is Digimons in the real word !! The world tour was a really great short arc, but we could sure extend it and make it really fun !! (Not sure however about the digidestined from other countries... maybe we could say that digimon escaped in this world just recently and some of them liked to human children, creating a third generation of digidestined). That could be when Lopmon (we already seen in Adventure 2020) meet Wallace. But I quite the idea of Meicoomon being already here for years, but being experimented on (maybe she was here since the train incident ?). I really think that adventure tri storyline could be reworked into a proper arc in Adventure 2022, and maybe finish the season with an heartbreaking hard reboot of the Digital World (like what happened in the middle of tri.). That could lead to a huge 2 hours movies, reunited the 2 casts of 2020 and 2022, in a Diaboromon Revenge/Last Evolution Kizuna fashion. A huge battle against a Big Giant Apocalyptic monster and all 14 digidestined could be really epic in my opinion.
For me, the three acts should be :
Act 1 : A New Threat/The Digimon Emperor
Act 2 : The gates are openned/World Tour/Dark Spore, return of Milleniumon
Act 3 : The big Glitch/Meicoomon corruption/Original Digidestined
Act Bonus (movie) : Algomon Return, great battle of Tokyo
All that to say that a 2020 sequel have a huge potential !! If only they didn't failed the reboot to beggin with...
8:09, that's what I thought, too! Something goes wrong with Tai's plans to live in the DigiWorld and our world, and now he and Agumon are trapped with no way home until Kari's team comes to rescue them. That's at least what I thought the first arc could be without rushing things.

I really like the idea of Tai going missing and Izzy being like a mentor to the new kids.
You should do a mini series where you have like 20 episodes of a fan fiction basically. Kinda like how the poketubers are doing their "what if they had their own region" video. Looks up Bird Keeper Toby's video series to see what I'm talking about.
I know this is like the elevator pitch but I think that more explanation is needed as to why the original digidestined can't find Tai. Maybe they are doing their own secret mission in the back against the main bad guy and we see glimpses of their mission. And Izzy and Mimi are like coordinating the two teams or something.
Also, I know they basically killed armor digivolving in the 2020 reboot but that was such a crucial thing in 02. There has to be a way to add that back in that doesn't feel forced.
I would like to say if you have 7 holy digimon you will definitely need 7 demon lords.
I love all your ideas, especially being able to connect some aspects that seemed to ignore in the first remake so that your ideas bring so much value to them, Very creative.
My pitch for the 2020 sequel is the following
-Tai's missing for the first few episodes as the rebirthed Digimon from the Holy war are born (Vee Mon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, and Meicomon)
-Davis, Yolhei, and Cody get more characterization to be more grounded, like Davis doesn't have a crush on kari but the pair are actual friends, so he knows Tai but Kari has kept his time in the digital world
- not repeating the same plot points of 02, so Ken's life is different as he becomes more the lone hero making a difference before finally joining the team
-keeping fewer old faces in Adventure canon as villains, so no black wargreymon
-Armors, Jogress remain, and full Evo lines for the 02 team
-Everyone has more time as mentors, meaning we see everyone in requegent epsides in the first act, going more into bigger team act 2 forward
-Meiko and Meicomon join before the 2nd act, revealing Meicomon's memories of the holy war
-No Dark Ocean, let's never talk of that plot point again
-expand on real concepts 02 couldn't do, so a bigger world tour arc just revealing together around the world, meeting different Digidestineds,, no two man teams.
And make Daemon as one of the final villians that led the dark digimon army in the past . They did him so wrong in 02 all because they wanted to bring back Vamdemon
if Adventure02 gets a reboot all i ask is that they keep Paildramon's evolution sequence the same, that thing is too epic and my favorite evolution to this day.
So I'm not opposed to Meiko being in this idea but I would like her to be aged up to be close to 2020 cast. Plus you could work up her relationship with Taichi slowly. Maybe pigging backing off your Abduction idea but instead with Ken corrupting Taichi and Agumon which could bring him in as a villian with BlackWarGreymon as his partner, maybe Meicoomon needing to awaken as her Seraph evolution to stop and purify Taichi and Agumon.
Sorry I'm a big fan of Meiko and Meicoomon and I wanted to see more for her and Taichi.
Honestly I am fine with slashangemon as a Veemon Mega just for the old joke of the original english dub series, if you were to have a thing about Tai investigating Ken in his emperor persona I would suggest things like Agumon shows up partly when the kids are in trouble or possibly Tai in the background helping when things get dangerous also a interesting thing should be a homage to Davis getting the goggles where he has his own in the first episode they get broken than rather than Tai giving them to him its possibly Kairi and TK who give it to him when they decide to have him help find Tai
You could have Meicoomon go evil because of the dark ocean and finally have an arc dedicated to that place
I would love to see Digimon Adventure: getting a sequel. And if Meiko and Meicoomon are in the series, I would imagine that at the start of the series, Meiko is still in the real world and Meicoomon is still in the digital world while the 02 digidestined fight in the network and digital worlds. When one of the members encounter Meicoomon, she’s in her Meicrackmon Vicious Mode form rampaging and causing corruption to the network but they did their best to send her away and fix the mess. At some time later, Meiko has her digivice glowing with her partner’s soul asking for help, transporting her to the digital world to meet Taichi and the other digidestined, whether it’s all of them or she meets Taichi and the 02 digidestined. When they encounter Meicrackmon again, Meiko recognises her as her partner who went missing between the events of the final episode of adventure and the potential 02 sequel. As the digidestined fight Meicrackmon with all their might, Meiko calls to her to snap out of her berserk state, which Meicrackmon rejects at first but after finally recognising her partner, she retreats from the digidestined, feeling conflicted of what she did. Later on, Meicrackmon reunites with Meiko after saving her from the boss’s attack, and fights alongside her while being in control of her power. After the battle, Meicrackmon VM’s dark power turned to light, and she reverted back to Meicoomon, happy to see her partner again.
I love the concept!!! The story line is amazing. Would be cool for the secondary chosen children act as mentees to the originals as their successor
would be interesting if in this season, the digimentals are like big statues like the crests were in 2020, so the kids doesnt own them, more like they sync with them which unlocks the armor evolution, this would allow to be used by all the kids if needed, or because their personalities they can sync with specific digimentals (like why yolei didnt got knowledge? when she is like izzy 2.0)

Ooo so like a long distance/wifi connection with the digimentals? It would make for a very cool digivolution sequence. Maybe it's one of the things Izzy and his fellow digimon researchers like Gerbemon came across in the 2 year gap.

If I could be picky, I would just like to include some Dark Ocean and maybe Daemon. I think there was such a missed opportunity there in the original 02 series.
I love the idea of Veemon becoming SlashAngemon. I like DNA digivolution but 1 of the problems I had with 02 was that Veemon and the others didn't have their own megas. This video does make me wish they would make an 02 reboot
It would be cool if there was a Digimon Adventure 02 reboot. In the reboot the 02 kids Digimon can digivolve into their own perfect forms using the digimemories which are similar to the crests.
Davis has the Dragon digimemory
Yolei has the bird digimemory
Cody has the dinosaur digimemory
Ken has the insect digimemory
Also Meiko won't meet Meicomon until the middle of the Daemon arc. Meicomon was brainwashed by Daemon so she will start out as a villain just like Tailmon started as a villain when she worked for Myotismon.
It could just me, but remember the episodes when Ken kidnapped Agumon and corrupted him, prompting Taichi and Yamato (well, Yamato for plot because crest of friendship, but still) to join the fight? A part of me thinks that Koushiro, Sora, Jou and Mimi should've joined the fray and show Ken that if you incur the wrath of the original 8 digidestined + the rookie 3 like this, you're gonna have one serious butt whooping.
On the other hand, this could've also been saved for the final fight with Ken and his Kimeramon. Let the new Digidestined team have the final strike, but these are one of the two moments where the 11 should've been facing off Ken in the Digital world. He was the reason the older 6 couldn't do much most of the time because normal evolution was blocked because of the dark spires. The older 6 could've come in to join later once Ken's base was destroyed, making the dark spires lose their power.
I love this! 02 was my favorite season. I prefer sequels for some reason. But anyway this video was great. If you ever wanted to flesh out the script I think a good idea would be to maybe hire someone to do a “manga” motion comic. And you could hire or get people to volunteer to do the voices. (P.s I voice act and would totally be down) this would be really cool for the people who wanted that 02 reboot

Which human or Digimon would you like to voice? I'm developing text stories that take place two years after the reboot's 67th episode. Once I finish planning all three story arcs, I can work on fanscripts! Any feedback you have would be most helpful.
I really think Ken not being a digidestined kind undermines his character arc. Other then that, I like what you did hehe
Also, I think Davis should still be using Tai's gogles. He found then before the start of the show, and that can be a clue as to where Tai is.
And finally, I'd make it so that Black WarGreymon is Tai's agumon corrupted somehow!
Well, maybe Ken learning that he's not actually a digidestined would explain his corruption story of transforming on the Digi Emperor

Could throw in after the Digimon Emporer/Missing Tai arc a focus on the Dark Ocean and the devil/sin of the Dark Ocean being what requires the Holy Digimon to combat it. Say that the climax ends with breaking the seal to the Dark Ocean as opposed to the Chimeramon fights of the original 02. Then afterwards create a scenario like the Dark Ocean ebbs and flows into the real world and tracking it could be how we get to the world tour and something similar to the Dark Spores, it using technology to reach the pull of negative human emotions. Maybe go a little darker and enemies like Arukenimon and Mummymon are humans who in the past succumbed to the Dark Spores and were swallowed by the Dark Ocean. Then at a midway point, as the original DigiDestined are brought back in, Tai and Augumon fall into the Dark Ocean, becoming an emissary for it after it trying to claim Kairi for the role. And the point of that being, this is how we get BlackWargreymon, it's our Augumon and a sense of urgency as they need to save Augumon and Tai before he is completely swallowed and stops being human. Then once Tai and Augumon are rescued, then we enter the final act of actually needing the Holy Digimon. Big final battle, everyone knocked down and Paladin Mode is unlocked through the Holy Digimon passing the power of Omnimon to Imperialdramon as Davis refuses to give up and Ken still wants to fight though he knows he's not a chosen one like all the others.
Bonus idea, just a neat thought for a nod to the original 02 source of BlackWargreymon going after the Destiny Stones, but maybe there's this other hunt going on during the Dark Tai and BlackWargreymon arc. Like their searching for the Digimon that would become the 4 Sovereign and our new cast are in pairs trying to find, protect and gather them (maybe make them the source of the Armor DigiEggs/Digimentals or Jogress or something). But this could help get the Jogress out there more shine and different pairings. (Like Davis and Willis, Yolei and Cody, Kairi and Meico, T.K. and Ken just to name a few.) But instead of just Azulongmon, we get the whole set (maybe their Jogress at the end as a last minute save) and begin the placement for them to take over for the Holy Digimon at the end, while setting the ground work for a later Tamers reboot. Plus it adds 4 other Digimon who kinda need to be guided and hang around the gang kind like Calumon from Tamers or Patamon in Frontier.
Great video! Obviously the other seasons of Digimon aren’t connected, but it would be fun to hear your take on a modern reboot of the other seasons. Shout out to my fav Tamers

If willis had Terriermon he could still evolve to rapidmon Gold and then Raijinmon for a mega during the Ryo arc lol
And I LOVE the tai arc at the beginning because by the end they could have Tai digivolve to mega to stop the first Big bad because he is above all their innitial power levels, a sort of tongue in cheek callback to Tai stealing all the glory in 2020, and give the new group a goal that they can all ascend past champion and get to mega.
Also in revenge of Diaboromon ark, you could have the OGs fighting argomon in the digital world and Diaboromon fighting the 02 cast as a reincarnation of abbadomon Core.
For Terriermon in the reboot, I'd imagine him as a reborn Golden Rapidmon that fought alongside with Magnamon. Maybe after SlashAngemon was reborn to Veemon, he managed to armor digivolve into Magnamon and later met and fought with Rapidmon to defeat Milleniumon's remaining army.

If I were Toei I would take this concept as part of the 02 reboot; all of this is really good and it's probably the most logical outcome for this hypothetical series. However, there are a two things I would add/change:
1. Every instance where Omnimon showed up was the catalyst to where our chosen children were picked; just having everyone of the 02 kids conveintly on the train sounds too much of a cope out for their reasons for having digimon. The first battle, Orochimon battle, and the final battle are all good points to where exposure of digimon to children would be good enough, not just one incident.
2. Emphasis how digimon are being kept secret from the public eye, mainly the government. Without Gennai and his digital species, or whatever you want to call them, governments of the world or just Japan would be keeping tabs on or attempting to capture digimon. Sure Koshiro would make conutermeasures of some kind but even he can't do it all. Maybe have Mei's story tied to that with her father being a politiician who's making sure digimon are covered up as best as they can or at least protecting the kids.
Other than that, everything else is good.
I’m still hoping for one. I really, really want one. :(
I think we should have a movie with the 2020 kids, taking place in the real world because we need more story with their parents.
Then a second season of the 2020.
I always thought Taichi becoming corrupted and it takes a new team with Daisuke to rescue him. That could be a great story.
I would love to see Yamato Kaiser, the first plan Digimon Kaiser in 02 reboot, that'd be real cool.
This concept is awesome. One thing though: 02 was set 4 years after the original, so this is going to set them 2 years younger than the original
I really like this idea for an Adventure 02 reboot. It's cool that Willis and Meiko are playing a bit of big role in this series and the holy digimon continuity. One idea is including UltraForce Veedramon somewhere in the story (probably near at the end of the series). Overall, this is fun idea for a 02 Reboot.

I really like this idea but at the same time I want them to break away from 02's plot. I like the fact that Adventure 2020 was still its own thing even though it utilised established characters from the original show.
Question: Who would you make as the endgame boss? An established digimon or a completely new digimon?
I think you have really good ideas on how to build up on existing stuff and spicing it up with ties to the reboot. Often these videos just seem like fanservice requests, but you actually had reasons for your choices so this was an entertaining watch, I'd be up for that season

I like the idea except for the ending. I always thought diaboromon revenge was handled as a middle finger to the older digi destined. I think it should be both omegamon and impairdramon fighting together. Since is 02 impairdramon paladin mode should get the final kill but the whole omegamon giving his energy was just bad for me.
I think an 02 remake should do better by not making the 01 kids useless like the original. I think they should be part of the story more than before.

So I’m kinda curious: when we met Willis (Sp/ch?) he had Terriermon and Cocomon; is there any chance that this proposed follow up season following Adventure 2 that all the cast get a second ‘mon to add some much needed complexity and expansion to the story, the world, digieggs, and characters. It might seem inflated, but I’m thinking this would be an ample opportunity to bring what we see teased in the shows, as well as the games, to the frontline.

14:00 I think the only addition I'd contribute is that the series has enough episodes to include all the armor Evolutions, including Wormmon's and including the Digimentals of Kindness, Miracles and Fate.
Better plot: Wizardmon has summoned a dark army to get back the digidestines 2020. During the summer, Wizardmon attacks Izzy at home. He manages to absorb his crest causing Wizardmon to evolve to Myotismon. Now as Myotismon, he sees that Ken had witness Izzy being attacked. Myotismon bites Ken and transforms him into an evil digi emperor. His partner is anti-Christ for which wurmon is the reincarnation of it. Myotismon begins a rampage in Tokyo a month later, which the other destines respond to. Myotismon uses his crimson lightning to attack them. The lightning misses, but hits 5 unsuspecting kids. He follows up by summoning a void black hole. As it begins to suck everything up, Tai, Sorah, Joe and Matt sacrifice themselves to shut the portal leaving TK, Kari and Izzy behind. During the fall of that year, Izzy finally completes the digi gate and TK & Kari sets off to rescue the others. When the gate opens, the Zeo holy-crests form on Davis, Yolei, and Cody who are sucked in with the gate’s citywide length emp release.

Make a series with each episode and explain each episode and maybe show new character designs for the new cast and the evo lines for the digimon
I am very open to the idea of a season 2 of adv 2020 following the 2nd gen of digidestined. But I think that if it happened it shouldn't copy the story beats of the original season 2 just like adventure 2020 didn't copy the original series story.
I think I'd like to see a hypothetical season two explore the after affects of negamon breaking the barriers between the human and digital world and the good and bad of humans and digimon interacting. For example you could show the season two cast as an example of the good it brings, but have a dark digimon corrupting ken into the digimon emperor as an example of the potential bad effects of humans and digimon coming together.
While the season should focus mostly on the season 2 cast, I think that whenever the og cast occasionally shows up that it would be beneficial to highlight pieces of their lives in the human world and give a bit more character development. Since a common fandom complaint is that the lives of the og cast wasn't explored enough in adv 2020, I feel that seeing parts of their lives would be a good way to counter that complaint.

If I may, I would pitch Ken as sort of a Twitch Streamer / esports pro and learn harder into the troupe that he thinks the digital world is more of a video game than an actual place. A new angle though is he could be a very successful, prominent streamer who actively streams from inside the digital world. His fans would also think it’s just a video game and would see the main heroes as antagonists for trying to stop him.
You could also maybe even tie in Meiko and Willis as sort of allies of Ken in this reboot. While they may not be as aggressive as Ken and into the whole “conquer” angle, you could work that Lopmon and Meicoomon are both corrupted. Being tamers to corrupted Digimon, they wouldn’t have a frame of reference of how a partner Digimon should act and that these darker, more aggressive attributes aren’t normal.

@@thedigiknow thank you! My additional thinking would be that whatever the big bad of this season would be have some kind of tie in with Ken’s subscriber base. Like, maybe wormmon has a virus that when Ken reaches a certain amount of subscribers it would cause an apocalyptic dark-digivolution.
Or maybe, it wants to raise awareness of the digital world through Ken’s actions / subscriber base but sort of use it as propaganda against it.
So yeah, let’s just call the big bad algorithmmon who keeps promoting Ken’s acts of violence for nefarious gains in the digital world / human world 😂
that would be amazing also use the rest of the OG villains that did not show up like Vamdemon, Piedmon (and his ultimate/perfect form Jokermon) Metal Seadramon, and Pinochimon as mid villains maybe working as high ranking commanders villains for Kaiser ken's army. I would love to see a reboot of 02 going the 2020 reboot route. I think they would have to fix the issues adventure 2020 gave like pacing, etc. But the potential is there and seeing what new takes they'll do will be hype. New evos, etc.

I would have Myotismon appear in a few episodes as a red herring making people think that he would be the main villain of a sequel to Digimon Adventure 2020. Only for it to be revealed that Myotismon is a servant to Algomon. The final boss would be a new Algomon form Algomon Super Ultimate / Algomon Ultra.

3:35 though I completely agree with you, I feel the need to point out that Hawkmon → Orcamon wasn't random. Hawkmon already evolves onto Orcamon with the Digimental of Reliability as of the D-3 Digivice Toy's first release. It's an Armor Evolution.

I came up with this concept over a Year ago similar yet different from yours.
1. I wanted to remove Armors, simply because Reboot had Pegasmon and other Armors appearing like regular mons. The only exception would be Magnamon he'd remain as the only Armor evo.
2. None of the original cast would return as part of the team, not even TK or Kari, just because they have access to their Mega already, and I am not a fan of weakening previously established characters. But having Izzy as the Chair guy, honestly sounds good!
3. Meiko and Ryo would take the place of TK and Kari.
Main thing I would want is a Dark Ocean Arc relating to Meiko have her be the one with traditional Dark Digivolution. Also she would be a rebooted character as unlike the Tri Meiko, this is a younger Meiko so most likely differentish personality.
Ryo would be on of the main players of the series we're Monodramon would be targeted due to being the reincarnation of Millenniumon.
I originilly didn't plan on Willis but he can easily be a 6th before Ken joins.

Maybe Emperor has taken captive the original cast Digimon since he can prevent Digivolution of anyone without a D3? During rescue missions these side-evos/Armor unlock somehow.
It would be 2 years from the events of Digimon Adventure 2020. That is some epic grow up there, within 2 years TK and Kari gone from very young children to teenagers...... Might need to rethink the event that caused them to become digidestined.

Yes! The 02 Cast doesn't get nearly enough love so I love this reboot idea.
There is some precedent for Hawkmon to Valdurmon because Garudamon is the usual Ultimate for Hawkmon and Aquilamon, and Valdurmon is a common Mega for Garudamon (not as common as Phoenixmon/Hououmon but not uncommon in games and stuff). I had never considered SlashAngemon and ClavisAngemon as potential Megas for Veemon and Armadillomon (cuz I keep thinking they're Ultimates/Perfects like MagnaAngemon), but I am now pretty enamored with that idea.
Only thing I'd add to this is having Omnimon riding on Imperialdramons back Blasting Argomon from a distance.
And have the final battle be as epic as Adventure 2020's was.
Maybe also with the holy Digimon they need to be purified as Argomon has been corrupting them, this way we can use dark versions of each holy digimon or have a dark counter part to that digimon where it's applicable.
Along the lines of Devimon being the darkside of Angemon.
We could also have Tai and Agumon be controlled too and have Agumon turn into Machinedramon.
Omnimon on Imperialdramon like a dragon rider sounds metal as hell :)

So this Imperialdramon is super huge in dragon mode, but it get's more compressed in fighter mode/Paladin mode, could also go with a dragon Paladin mode
5:20 if the plot is untouched then you need Ryo and the Evil Seed Millenniummon put into Ken as well. I personally would love to see Ryo and Monodramon in Tamers anyway, as that's the universe he originally came from.
If they going to have a season 2 (or 02 Reboot) of Adventure 2020, they have my full support, still have my fingers cross. And I like your pitch, I always imagine if Meiko could make her return as a young DigiDestined after I spot Rasielmon among those Holy digimons (2:29), and how they can planned Davis and the others become the digidestined after the events from 2020. If only they can reintroduce powerful enemies like Myotismon, Dark Masters, or Negamon resurface as different form, etc. If only they can use potential season 2 to fill in some element that were missing in 02, like Dark Ocean, or new territories. Or even crossovers with original series, got that after "No Way Home".
I would cry over it just as much as I did with the recent one... To see the original and extra aged up with this story telling.....

Throw Matt and Tai in to the X Antibody realm to meet with Yuji and Kota. A whole season on the X Antibody with Agumon and Gabumon gaining the X Antibody.
The only issue I have is how meaningless the Holy Digimon seem in this plot line. Maybe instead of Omnimon powering up Impaildramon, we have Omnimon holding the enemy off in the real world while the 02 characters are in the Digital World and just before the 02s arrive, Omnimon gets busted down to two eggs. This could give an initially enraged Davis/Ken/Impaildramon, possibly even corrupting them, where the others bring them back with the power of the Holy Digimon. Then combine the powers of Impaildramon and the Holy Digimon to create the new version of Paladin mode.
Probably have Matt's and Tai's eggs hatching into Punimon and Botamon during the credits.
Personally, if we got a reboot of 02 to act as a sequel to the Adventure-reboot, I'd assume that they pretty much scrap the entire Armor-focus in the first arc, like, maybe we'd get Armor-evolutions here and there, but considering we also already had Armor-Digimon appearing in the Adventure-reboot, even as evolutions for the kids, even PEGASUSMON, a digivolution that was actually used in 02, first up I think they're probably going to scrap the Digimentals and second I feel like in that case it also would make less sense to block evolutions the same way it happened in the original, maybe block evolutions past adult-level specifically if they still feel like they need an explanation of why the others aren't just going Mega-level. But since Armor-Digimon shouldn't be as much of a focus as in the original, the general focus of the season should more so shift to Jogress, imo, and it that sense setting up the Adult-levels of the new children early would only smoothen things out later.
I'm also not sure if they'd keep the Digimon Emperor-plot the same, since that entire thing was very much a tie-in with the Tamer-games featuring Ryu and Milleniumon, and since Milleniumons appearence in the last season already very much contradicts that continuity, I feel like Kens character will have to be redefined quite a bit, even if the main idea of him being the main antagonist for the first arc stays the same, maybe have him be influenced into trying to rebuild Milleniumon instead.
As for the idea of having the partners be the remaining few Holy Digimon, I personally don't think that'd work, first up because I don't think it'd be very fitting for the solo-Digivolutions of the 02-partners, which we've in some way been waiting for for years, to be old Digimon, and not even old Digimon that fit their line but instead they get shoved into certain lines for plots sake pretty much, I think that'd work for side-character Digimon, but the main characters partners? Not to mention, we can pretty safely assume that Imperialdramon would still be the lead Mega of the season, which... I feel would kinda undermine the point of giving them alternate plot-relevant megas like the remaining Holy Digimon? Like, why make a big deal and forcing Veemon into digivolving into SlashAngemon for the plot when its final form will have nothing to do with that? Not to mention that in the first place, as things stand, SlashAngemon is the "canon" Mega for Shakkoumon, so if we assume the 02-reboot would do the same thing as the Adventure-reboot and have the others reach Mega as well, then we'd not only have Sylphiemon digivolve into Valkyriemon, but also Shakkoumon into SlashAngemon, which is also going to be kinda weird because obviously Angemon is part of this, and Angemon is already the rebirth of Seraphimon, but whatever, unless they finally come up with a proper Mega for Shakkoumon, that's the only choice they have, and there are still ways to explain that away, like the old SlashAngemon transferring his power to Shakkoumon. Like, in general, I don't think the idea of integrating the remaining Holy Digimon into the plot isn't bad, but not in this way, if anything, I think it'd make more sense if they took the place of the 4 Sovereigns and be responsible for enabling the Jogress-Megas, which wouldn't fit into the framework set by the Adventure-reboot anymore, maybe instead having all the remaining Holy Digimon be partners of side characters to still emulate the world travel-arc.
Speaking of Jogress though, I'd also say the chances are very high that Dinobeemon and most likely its general Mega GranKuwagamon will also make an appearence, maybe Ken will have a relapse and in a Dark Digivolution take the dominant role in the Jogress, or it'll just be a regular alternate evolution like we saw at points in the Adventure-reboot, with maybe Silphymon and Shakkoumon also getting alternate Jogresses. At that point though, I feel like the chances of the kids getting their own, singular Megas are extremely low.
Another idea I'd have aside from just using Argomon in continuation to his role as a Diaboromon-replacement, or maybe even completely sepperate from that, considering the Adventure-reboot had such a high-profile villain as Milleniumon AND ZeedMilleniumon before their true final villain, and that Demon appeared in the original, I think it'd make all the sense in the world to have the 7 Demon Lords make an appearence and be big villains as well, taking over right after Kens defeat, or at the very least one of them, which would also perfectly fit into them having a reason to seek out and possibly reunite the 7 Holy Digimon, and would also fit with Imperialdramon Paladin Mode later on, because of its obvious connection to the Royal Knights, and the Royal Knights being somewhat of the counterpart to the Demon Lords in their own way, keeping the order of the Digital World while the Demon Lords obviously want to break it.
I don't know about the SlashAngemon bit, I mean sure but we've seen our two holy angels evolve to Goddramon and Holydramon. We could say this reincarnation of Veemon retains his powers as a holy angel Digimon but goes down an alternate path and retains his Dramon lineage and becomes Ulforceveedramon or something. I mean you got Ken's Wormmon's Mega Evolution being BanchoStingmon for crying out loud.
Course Hikari and Takeru won't need the Digi-Eggs to evolve to their armor evolutions but we can say during the years, Koshiro have imprinted their data of the eight crests and powers of their Digimon into those eggs. It's a way of saying they will fight together with them even when away. Their powers are their's to make use of until the day they can reach their own heights and not need the eggs anymore.
I hope they introduce Davis/Daisuke as the Miracle crest holder
Ken works great in that role because on 02 he is the only tamer who does not have a digiegg. So I feel like this is a good parallel to him not having a digimon god like everyone else.
Oh also would love to see the evolution lines to make the 02 digimon fit with the holy digimon

For a reboot of 02, one thing, I would change, is the evolution process, while having armour evolution, but they are unable to evolve the normal process, they find extra armour eggs, that only work when topped to another armour that active, so, they can have intersting combos, just leave out the crest side of things and just have them be pure elements, so example a wind egg combines with a fire egg evolution to create a more powerful fire type Digimon or prehaps a fire and a water evolution? While there exists Holy eggs, there balance in the form of dark eggs, and that can be apart of what drives Ken, he seeks these eggs to become more powerful and they are fueling his dark emotions, while he still thinks its all a game, thou I think the idea of bring in other characters with partners is good, but prehaps they are under the effects of the dark eggs and are also doing similar to Ken, being Digimon Emperors and part of the original 02 cast is being controlled by these eggs, example, Davis, he finds one by mistake and gets taken over as he got no clue what it really is, but its Kari's light that purges the darkness from him and the Digimon he been abusing, also been under the control of the dark egg power and devolves from the dark champion form to Veemon, this would make it more plausable excuss for Davis to have a crush on Kari as 02 never really explained why he crushes on her and proclaims she is his girlfriend, ao she saved him from the darkness, so part of the series plot, is about finding the dark eggs to capture and contain them!
While we have seven Holy Digimon, so prehaps seven holy eggs to exist and need to be found as well as the dark eggs, we have thirteen dark eggs as 13 is said to be unlucky as a number and more towards darkness and the kids mission is to find and collect these eggs in order to save the world, but Ken, the Digimon Emperor, is also on a mission to find the eggs, as Ken's power grows, he has created the dark rings and the spires to control Digimon, but he also has powerful dark enemies, like Daemon, who could be the the series real big bad! The problem, I felt Adventure 2020 had, was lack of a real villian, sure we had threats, but, they weren't exactly very intersting, the original adventure made sure the villians all had proper personalties and motivations, 2020, after Devimon, was rather lack luster in the villian department, but that seems to be a running theme that started with Appli Monsters, set up a villian, but give it no personalty to really speak of! Of course, the climatic battle with Ken, can be that Ken has created his own Digimon under the effects of the darkness and he gets into a confronation with TK, while the others deal with the monster Ken has created and TK knocks sense into Ken, making him start to see the error of his ways, but its when Ken is shown the light does he start to truly understand what he has done and see the truth of his actions! Of course, Ken's creation goes on a rampage with the kids struggling to stop it!
I think it would be cool is during the world tour arc something like argomon messes up the digital gate so out main cast is stuck across the world so the old gen has to rescue them but evause plot only ken is allowed to enter the digital gate and bring them home as a way to earn everyone's trust
if they're gonna reboot 02 (which i highly anticipate), i hope they'll make the arc for dagomon's ocean cuz it feels like a missing arc from the original show, or could've been the final arc instead of belialvamdemon as the final villain

I couldn’t really improve what you’ve laid in the video, but I think it would actually be very interesting.
On the other hand, I don’t necessarily see a way to fit every armor/fusion/etc from the original along with the new evolutions as it would end up on a new form every episode or two, making it a bit rushed in my opinion, unless it stretches for more than 70 episodes, in that case, it could work.
