I worked with a couple of Snow Leopards IRL too...yeah that HAS to be what we're looking at. This map's just getting crazier and crazier and I LOVE it!
Also I want to point out Snow Leopards can't roar...so Tigers could still be happening!

That roar was NOT a snow leopard for sure! Meaning we are most likely getting both!!
I definitely think it'll be both snow leopards and tigers. Snow leopards stalking the high mountains of the map, while tigers roam the lowland jungles. That roar in the 1st trailer sure as hell was no snow leopard, and snow leopards do not inhabit those types of jungles.
I believe that we are getting the tiger as well. The roar deffinitely is a tiger not a snow leopard

The roar was a tiger. Nothing else sounds like that, or at least nothing else that I know of. Also, snow leopards aren't in the genus Panthera, the genus with every existing cat that can roar, so the roar, even if it wasn't obviously a tiger, couldn't be a snow leopard.
I was hoping they would have snow/white tigers as a rare variant of the tigers be a cool rare to get.
I remember saying in ur livestream like 4 years ago they should add snow leopards and ur response was “Aren’t they super endangered?” Lmao
Maybe that's why the major theme to the trailer was "the hunter vs the hunted". I think we're getting both!
With multiple endangered species basically confirmed, it raises so many questions about other animals. Could we see clouded leopards for a 3rd big cat? Rhinos? Red pandas? I hope they go all out. Also, i doubt itll be in the game but everyone should look up the danphe. Its a nepalese pheasant species.
The first roar was in the jungle where a tiger would be now a snow leopard in the mountains there in two different areas on the map we might be getting both

Guys let’s use common sense. Snow leopards are in the snowy mountains. Why would they showcase the roar in the tigers jungle habitat. It makes no sense. It will have tigers

I think there will be both snow leopards and tigers. The snow leopard would stay in the snowy region of the map and the tiger in the forest part

The sound is definitely not a snow leopard....but these definitely look like them! I guess they *could* be common leopards with some weird lighting, but they're not usually that pale

uuhhh, the head shape of the one up top looks an awful lot like a white tiger, if that's not what it is then i absolutely agree snow leopard too. snow leopards are very shy and tigers are known to be more aggressive and way larger, would explain why in the picture the one that's very obviously a snow leopard is hiding while the other is patrolling, tigers probably spook them ( assuming they're actually in the same regions )
and i agree with the comments, 100% not a snow leopard sound, they don't even technically roar like that, they bark and chirp and growl. most big cat sounds are very very easy to distinguish from each other and there's no question when it comes to these two unless EW just straight goofed.

If you simply look up on UA-cam both of the cats making noises you can very clearly tell that the roar in the trailer is a tiger not a snow leopard if in fact it is a snow leopard. I wholeheartedly believe that we will be having both tigers and snow leopards. Which I hope the tiger is aggressive

I definitely think that is snow leopards as they can't roar. But I also think in the back of my mind, what if that could be a white tiger? I mean, the Tiger comes in four different colors. But Im super excited if its both Snow Leopards and Tigers.
Plus side that roar reminds me alot of the lion roar from MGM lion 👀 they sound alot alike.

What this doesn't make sense since snow leopards don't roar or make much noise at all. Unless they're adding these and tigers. Maybe this might be the first map with three medium to large predators on it in the form of snow leopards, Asian leopard and Bengal tigers.

Bruh I am so far behind with the maps. My brain won't let me move on until I finish all the missions on the reserve I am on, and some of these missions take so long. Still on the mission to spot two cinnamon Black bears btw lol. (I'm Luca from the discord and twitch just fyi I don't use that name for this specific profile though.)

If Ubisoft can do it , so can they . In far cry 4 you can literally kill tigers, rhinos, leopards etc with rpgs, flamethrowers and grenade launchers, so hunting them ethically wouldn't be so bad on cotw

Do you think a tiger is stalking the muntjac since the roar an leopards don't roar? I'm going to guess the best is saved for last the Tiger! An hopefully it one hits like the lion an hunts us lol....... (Edit) Unless the roar was just to hint to a big cat an actually has nothing to do with what it sounds like (a tiger) hopefully we find out the species list tomorrow
I personally believe it’s both snow leopard and tiger. The one in the bushes looks like a tiger imo with the orangish brown fur, the white “mask” and the black stripes and black on the ears. The one on the ridge is 100% a leopard. I also think that they both will be on the map for the simple reason snow leopards can’t roar.
That roar was definitely a tiger...it'd be a real let down at this point if they aren't on the map. So down for snow leopards though.

That roar is too deep to be a leopard. But I wouldn't trust EW to get it right. They've had the wrong animal sounds before.

Usually hunting slightly endangered species in a game doesnt bother me but having potentially two highly endangered cat species just completely turns me away from this map

Not interested in hunting snow leopards. Tigers and lions at least have limited hunting.
Snow Leopards are an endangered species. It would be most unethical to have them on the map. I don't care how many excuses you come up with, it's just a NO GO.
