Those safety tips at the end were great. With how many videos on composites I have watched I can't believe I am hearing most of them for the first time.
Super awesome video! Exactly what I needed. I’ve watched a lot of videos and this one explains things at my level of understanding. Thank you for posting this!
Good video. I’ve watched most all of yours, as well as others. I like your style, you speak very well. A series is a good idea. With the basics then do projects to show the different uses of materials, how and why they are used. Some rough cost estimates for each project would be nice as well. I’ll be watching to see what you already have planned. Keep it up. I appreciate it.
Thanks for the video and the safety tips! Some additional things I've read is use skin cream and/or cotton gloves below the nitril gloves. This might also be more comfortable. And wash the clothes you sand with after each use.
I still feel you’re really under selling resin research. It’s ridiculously strong. 2050 is the go-to here. 11,200 psi tensile strength is amazing. My old go-to was an aerospace resin for space shuttles and aircraft’s. Though it has a much higher heat resistance, it and nothing else we’ve tried has the physical cured properties of RR 2050. Best part is it’s very affordable, but that’s just a bonus. You can take a resin puck and chuck it at the ground and it stays intact, most others shatter.
I appreciate your video! You do a good job of explaining the process in all your videos. I do have a question and I am sure this was asked but when using fiberglass for the mold do you use the same resin as you do for the carbon fiber??
Some of the best information about composites on youtube to this day. Thank you!

Work in the industry for couple of years now, never seen such a descriptive video. Good job.
Excellent. I'm a total noob, but this vid is a great start. Thank you for your efforts!
Loved how you explained it. No hard words that I have to go google and then come back to the video thank you

Really good video and exactly what I was looking for. Just makes me want to learn more and more. Subscribed!
Thank you! You have answered so many of my questions.
Thanks! I’m hoping to try out composites and this info was very helpful.
Thanks for the amazing video. Cheers from Bavaria.
Great video for a beginner like myself. Have one question. What's the shelf life for the different components?
Might sound odd. But how does canvas or denim work, in terms of strength and weight?
Really informative. Thanks!

Question- can you use regular styrofoam as a mold for a small carbon fiber project? Your videos are very helpful buy the way thanks.

Yep, I had my sock turn to cardboard, almost
