    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    So I do my roommate's nails to keep up with my short nail skills and she told me one of her nails broke weirdly. It was this exact issue! I was able to get out the air pocket using this same circling technique and I was so fortunate that I had watched this video because before now, I probably would have just completely filed and soaked it off. Thank you guys!

    Hi Mel always nice seeing you I love your hats and your style! This video came right on time because I just did a new gel set and noticed small pocket lifting on a couple nails. I don't have ski slope nails though and though I do type all day because this was a brand new set I attributed the lifting either to my prep or because my natural nails were too thin so
    I went in and chipped away at that lifting and filled in those spots much like you showed here tfs!

    Thank you so much for the video! I have flat nail beds and just started doing my own nails. I have tried many brands of full cover nail tips and there's always a gap, so when they fall off I get a bit dishearted but watching this just showed me that my nails just require extra steps. How do you go about press on nails? I get a lot as presents but I know they won't stay on because of my flat nail beds.

    • @mjaydelacruz8496

      Same process if the pocket holes in the same spot. If it’s more on the free edge you’ll have to take everything off and re-glue in your tip on.

    Always so informative YN Team, thanks a mil. I Encountered something weird - So my client came back after 6wks due to lockdown in our country, Amazingly she'd only lost 1 nail, however, as you can imagine, the nails were extremely grown out. I took down her acrylic leaving basically a thin layer of acrylic as thick as a tip, went through my prep bases and built her new set with builder gel and 2wks later the gel separated from the acrylic. Any ideas on What might have caused this?

    • @popitzikaliou7

    • @katrinasheets2997
      @katrinasheets2997 3 роки тому +2

      Hmmmm. Weird. That shouldn't happen. Gel can be applied over acrylic. The only thing I can think of is whether or not you applied gel top coat on top of the acrylic before applying the hard gel? Typically you would apply Protein Bond primer and then the base coat, and then build the nail with gel. The only other thing I can think of is if you used base coat gel, but applied too thick. You definitely want it super thin and really scrubbed into the acrylic. Hope this helps!

    • @grungeygrunge7971
      @grungeygrunge7971 3 роки тому +2

      I think i forgot to apply Base...sigh. Thanks ladies

    • @katrinasheets2997
      @katrinasheets2997 3 роки тому +1

      @@grungeygrunge7971 ahhhhhh....glad you figured it out! Base coat is the most important step in my opinion. I once applied gel over polygel and didn't apply base coat because I assumed both were gel products and it wasn't necessary. But the gel literally popped right off the top after a few days. Try again with base coat and you should be good to go! 💗💗💗

    • @mjaydelacruz8496
      @mjaydelacruz8496 3 роки тому

      You have to make sure you have enough grit like at least a 150 gray and protein Bon for the child to weave into it and hold onto. If the acrylic is too smooth or not prepped enough gel won’t adhere to it!

    • @marielanders1218
      @marielanders1218 3 роки тому +1

      She was talking about how the nail glue doesn't stick the tip on all the way and can cause pocket lifting. But if you use protein bond before applying acrylic it helps eliminate the pocket lifting. Protein bond just helps adhere the product better without lifting. It is not used as glue for tips. Hope that helps.
