    What I remember the most was the smell of lemons. It was incredible.

    I was in the mood for a swim in Amalfi in October 2018 & apart from the pebbly beach, we have sand here in Australia, the water was freezing. We had a nice lunch in Amalfi & the bus from Sorrento was awesome. My daughter told me Lake Como was a better place to swim, but I was too busy eating the best Pumpkin Risotto in Varenna.

      I always heard Lake Como was polluted. No swimming allowed

    Loved learning about that little walk at the start ... I've rambled around Amalfi many times, even walking down from Ravello through Atrani and into Amalfi but you've shown me one more walk to enjoy next visit - thank you!

    The drive along the Amalfi Coast was breathtaking with stunning views of pristine waters against rugged cliffs and sprawling villas and umm,the limoncello! Splendid!

    Such a nice stroll! Loving your filming techniques ... walking past the camera makes it seem like we're right there with you.

    Thank you very much Nicki. I was in Amalfi Town last year. As well as Positano, Sorrento and various other places on the Amalfi Coast. We stayed in the small town of San Agata. I dream of returning again one day soon.

    Love this! I’ve watched so many of your videos & have decided that you & Carlo really need to adopt me. I could work in the garden, cook, film the 2 of you (blasted drone probably makes that unnecessary). Thanks for all of your hard work making these lovely videos! Absolutely delightful!

    Thanks for taking a shot of the grand hotel entrance. It helps one to how to spell it as I will add your walk to an upcoming trip.

    If you feel that you have run out of things to say about Positano, please redo this one. I just subscribed a few weeks ago and recently decided to start watching all your videos from the first post - binge watching, I’m afraid. Most entertaining. You really have gotten good at this and have a lovely and charming troop of actors to draw from. Your videos have opened my eyes to the absolute charm of the Almafi coast. Up until a few weeks ago, I held the opinion that Naples and its environs were either too hot or scary. Not with all that snow and cold in Winter. I once lived in Laguna Beach, California for several years and can directly relate to your experience of in and off season. But that place pales in comparison to the sheer drama of this penisula.

    Thank you, that was lovely. Question: how do we get to your starting point from the Travel Mar dock?

    • @NickiPositano
      @NickiPositano  6 років тому

      It was at teh entrance to the Hotel Convento, there are steps up from the port area, probably best to ask when there.

    That terrapin fountain ⛲looked bad.. The water 💦quality with all that algae didn't look good 😢.. Poor animals.
    Otherwise it looked a beautiful, especially the Cathedral.
    Thanks😊

    "Boiling oil" was not used....oil was expensive,difficult to obtain in large quantities,and posed as much of a danger to the defenders as the invaders since it was flammable and could catch fire as it was heated. Boiling water worked just as well.

    Nice film but you made no reference to the cost of any part of your trip. This seems to be the luxury version of this trip, but we don't know. Well photographed and narrated.

    • @NickiPositano
      @NickiPositano  6 років тому

      Walking around Amalfi is free, there is no cost involved. The only thing in this video that you would have to pay for is the visit to the Cathedral cloisters and crypt and I very clearly said it would cost 3 Euro. I am not sure what you mean by 'luxury version of this trip' as this was just a walk around town.
