All I use is rigid aluminum pipe wrenches. When you are cranking on a 24” one in both arms you’ll never go back to the cast iron. Just don’t put a cheater bar on the aluminum. If a cheater bar is needed use the cast
I've used a cheater bar plenty of times on the aluminum rigid pipe wrenches. But the thing is, you have to have the pipe (what I use as cheater bar) has to be big enough to slide all the way down to the thickest part of the wrench, instead of just having it go over just the thin handle part.
I will double your money if you want to sell that ridgid one. I understood why the one you're reviewing is offset but the one that the handle is between the two in this video, called an end wrench by Ridgid. Example catalog no. 90122 model no. E-918 .
My dad has had a pair of 24” offset Ridgid pipe for over 40 years they work great. I also have a14” and 18” aluminum offset pipe wrenches.
Tried one once, long ago. Didn't like it much. The jaws "tail" kept getting in the way. Great review, thanks.

Till this day a china made one i bought 6 years ago has not broken its just really heavy

I have a couple small pipe wrenches with forged handles. A vintage Fuller/KTC, and an ancient Pexto from the turn of the century.
I have the Little Giant version of this wrench from c1960.
