It's a disgust to the Initial D name. No Eurobeat, the art or animation is too much fancy and looks exaggerated. And they couldn't cover all stages in just 3 movies so there's far less content. I have seen the original anime 3 times in 360p and I'd say it's a million times better than Legend movies.
The legend movies I think are a great way to introduce newer folk to the franchise, it feels modern enough that most people won't disregard it (yes, how modern an anime is has become a metric of sorts in my country sadly) and it still keeps some of the key components of the series sans the eurobeat ofc. It's worth a watch if you're a long-time fan of the franchise, just don't expect it to feel that familiarity to the OG series since I think the movies were made with a different demographic in mind.
tbh im honestly fine with newer initial d episodes not having too much eurobeat. especially in creepier or more challenging races. It keeps the tension and makes it perfect. Both versions/generations of initial d are amazing and they really teach the technique and portrays it really, really well. So, with eurobeat or not Initial D is still one of the BEST animes ever.
I still can't believe that they didn't show how the car inertia drift. They just cut the scenes from left to right. I mean seriously? 新劇場版出てた声優さんが下手とかではないんよ、元々の声優さん達に慣れてた上に元々の声優さんありきのイニDだったからなんよ
全編通してもこのシーンがかなり好き
ユーロビートのすごさは頭文字Dの劇伴にもなっているところなんですよね。曲の選曲、タイミング、効果音と。ただロックな楽曲を流せばいいわけじゃないのが証明されてますね
私は自分自身がメタルヘッドであり、それを確認することができます。私はスイフトスポーツzc33sを運転していて、いつもユーロビートでこのように山の角を曲がるのが大好きです。

絵は新劇場版、ボイスとBGMはアニメ板ということですね。こりゃ面白い趣向。というか、この方がしっくり来ますね。それにしても、第１話の時点から既に峠のカリスマレベルの技術なんですが、拓海。赤城レッドサンズNo２の高橋啓介を追い詰めた末に追い抜き、「慣性ドリフト」なる技で、通常ではありえないラインでコーナリングしています。とことん凄すぎです。
まぁその感じで今放送したら間違いなくスポーツカーブーム来ると思う
