Pat is a lot like Valve Software. They both take a long while to come out with their products, but its always an eye opener and worth three times what you pay for it.
Thank you so much for posting this video, both to Pat and to Peter Orullian. As a serious aspiring writer this stuff is pure gold. Both for new things I learn, and for things I know but wasn't always sure of. This is going in my favorites and sitting there for whenever I really need it, because I know I will. Thanks again, A writer and fan (of Pat's, but I'll go figure out who Mr. Orullian is too)
@ShinseiX It doesn't state it explicitly, but it alludes to it in the epilogue. I don't remember the exact wording but it's talking about Kvothe taking a single perfect step, like a dancer. Just like Shaen in Ademre.
What an inspiring person, i loved the things he said about that stories need an ending, it's bittersweet to finish a story you love but at the same time ... hmm yeah. However in some cases i cant really say im sorry that the author just keeps going, like for example Glen Cooks Black Company series, the quality really goes down with a few of the books but i love those characters so much i just dont want it to end :) (i really hope he's writing acontinuation as we speak)
I'm not sure how everything can be tied up satisfactorily in just one more book. Ending the tale of Kvothe's past up to present day, sure, but answering where Kvothe goes from there? In the epilogue of The Wise Man's Fear there's the part where it speaks of Kvothe returning to practicing the ketan which is a hint of him regaining his former glory. This is something that has to be addressed and I think it's too big for one book.
he mentions one of his favorite bands is barenaked ladies AND THEN SAYS HE WENT TO A THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS CONCERT AND BARENAKED LADIES > THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS IN YOUR OPINION? LIKE ???????????
@cyberpsygen7 Yeah right.... i mean....the end will be like... the present? the kvothe that's telling the story? But the wise man's fear shows more mysteries than answer the preview ones, sithe, singers, amyr .... where are those guys???? so the next book is going to be awesome that's for sure!

Freakin love this guy and the Kingkiller Chronicle series. I hope they make some fancy hardcover versions of the book that I can buy.
I like this guy!

I think, with all that's been left open thus far, the third book is going to be "Wheel of Time" sized...Maybe larger.

@MiseryFields I don't know the wheel of time but Patrick in another interview said it that it will be almost as large as the Wisemans Fear
Yeh, take your time mate :D :D.
@AkeelaTheGhost Except Valve doesn't end their series'. Not because they milk it dry, but they just don't release the ending.
Depends on how long the book is. It could be 1,500 pages.
