I was based at HMS Vernon where the Brave boats docked. We occasionally went out in the Solent in our 10 knot work boat, to chase after test torpedoes fired by these amazing vessels. Took us ages to find them. The torpedoes were not launched from tubes, they were simply dropped over the side and then the boat doing 54 knots overtook them.
I remember the two braves laid up as target ships off Hobes Point Milford Haven in the 1970s which I thought was rather sad
