The animation has improved slightly but its still mediocre and inconsistent as hell, and the writing is fanfiction-tier. It's nothing more than a lazy cash grab the same way Hollywood makes bad remakes and reboots of old film franchises.

This man has a point with what he says. Though I do agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It is true that if the fans keep supporting this. It will never improve. This is happening in the video game world as well. Call of Duty is the same damn game ever year. Yet for some reason everyone keeps buying it. They can't see it's a waste of money.
It's the people's own ignorance of why all of this keeps happening. I could seriously write a story on fanfiction that would be better then DBS. I really don't think Toriyama is even trying anymore. I respect this uploader because he is telling people how it is. I will say however. That super does have some interesting ideas. They just don't execute them right. The multiple universe idea is NOT bad. Just the story they built around it is bad.
My honest opinion is the dragon ball universe did not need to continue. They should just continue it in video games. Maybe like seeing alternate timelines other then Future Trunks. Many things could be done legitimately if they wanted to do this. Either way, Dragon Ball Super does suck and it's ridiculously obvious they are just doing it for money at this point.

I'm also a veteran DBZ fan. Probably been watching this the series longer than you've been alive, and I love DBS. Sure it's not perfect, nothing is, but damn its strengths are definitely *strengths* . Back to the main point though, if you don't like a show, then don't watch it. If you hate what they're doing to the series, then don't support it, acknowledge it, or even bat an eye to it. I understand how seeing your beloved series get "ruined" would be annoying as fuck, but watching it continually just yo bash it makes you look low as fuck bro. Back to the main point though, if I don't like a show, I'll watch it so I can criticize it and know what I'm talking about because otherwise I can't deal with the shitters who claim it's good. I don't know about the others but DBZ isn't that special to me. It was good for its time but it's got nothing compared to modern anime, except for its counterpart DBS. The ratings say it all, DBZ is highly rated at top 200s of all time last I remember and DBS is stuck at 1600 and dropping even further. So I have to deal with idiots claiming DBS is better than top 100 of all time shows like Hunter x Hunter, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, etc when that's pretty much the only thing they've ever seen besides maybe Naruto. DBS is not fine, it's garbage, displayed in its bad writing, shit plot holes, shit characters, and classic garbage Toei animation.
Okay, that was a great point. If I make a claim I need to give reasoning for it, otherwise the claim is useless. I'm actually glad you checked me on that; I like having discussions like this. One example of a strength I can pull out of my head rn is definitely Zamasu. He is hands down the most engaging and interesting villain in Dragon Ball HISTORY (imo). First of all, he's a Supreme Kai, and that alone is awesome to see, because we're so used to seeing them as benevolent and as the good guys; it was awesome seeing that that's not necessarily always the case. Zamasu was malicious, conniving, and extremely insouciant towards the suffering of others, so far, all basic but fundamental qualities of a good villain. Let's continue, he had an ambition to kill all mortals, he had arguably valid reasons for why he hated them, and he actually did that shit, ruthlessly. Zamasu *won* . And just knowing that he actually succeeded in his twisted and fucked up goal just added that layer of gravity to the whole series. When Trunks, Goku, and Vegeta came back to take him down. Zamasu was the Empire, and Goku and the guys were the Rebels (if you watch Star Wars). That shit is crazy man. Then adding onto that, in his journey to achieving the genocide of all mortals, he literally did the most despicable thing a villain has done in DB. He stole the body of his enemy through the most cowardly but brilliant way possible, and used his enemy's body to *murder him, his wife and his youngest son. Then goes on to destroy the world that his enemy struggled his whole life to protect.* Bro just typing that gave me chills, and that's just one of the many good things about DBS.
And btw, I completely and utterly disagree with what you said about DragonBall Z. I actually got angry as I read what you typed. But that's your opinion and we can save that discussion for a different day.

I know right lots of people don't realize, latest episode was supposed to be perfect, top notch animation quality and superb fighting sequence. but what do we get huh...?? if you count approx. 7 MINUTES OF GOKU'S NEW TRANSFORMATION and super crappy and kind of loose fighting animation, THIS IS GOKU VS JIREN DAMN IT. do you remember Goku vs Kid Buu starting fight man, those moves were spectacular Goku's fighting moves were awesome against Cell, against Majin Vegeta, not only just vanish and make "fighting circles/clash" in the air, sure clashes were there in Z and lots of fillers too but moves were unique and whole body movement was awesome compared to DRAGON BALL SUPER SHIT.
all over, today we see half ass temporary Transformation with no further explanation on how goku got it ? or did he do any secret training ? and don't get me started on power level scale....sure Jiren may have surpassed his joker God of destruction Belmod, but what Goku has been doing since he met Beerus huh? fucking chichi....i think not or may be he did but he also went through rigorous training with Whis, fought with fusion Zamasu, Black, Beerus etc . all these fighting and still he can't land punch on Jiren with Kaioken x20 SSGSS which is quite illogical and stupid. I Totally agree. I liked the original Dragon Ball when Goku was young and when he grew up but then after that they just ruined it.
When I saw the BoG movie I knew it would be trash so I didn't watch the anime until a few weeks ago. To my surprise the series was even more garbage than I imagined. Never before have I seen such inconsistent storytelling and lack of creativity. I am usually fine with overlooking minor retcons, but this shit was not ok. It all feels like a giant comic relief.
I agree with almost everything you said in this video except for 4 particular things.
1. I don't believe (or even the majority for that matter) that the DragonBall Series needs to die, it just needs to be left alone or maybe even better yet: Rebooted completely but exactly the same only with better animation unlike DBZ Kai.
2. Goku was never truly dumb or even stupid for that matter, on his worst days throughout DB/DBZ and Even GT he was only just simply reckless, careless and Very naïve, those are the 3 worst things you could say about Goku but he is not dumb at all, he adapts faster than any of us.
3. Just because anyone watches this series or any other particular series for that matter doesn't automatically or necessarily make them a loser with shit taste that doesn't know what a good anime is, I watch it but only because for the sake of entertainment and mainly because it's still technically DragonBall as well as the fact that it's primarily just to kill time, of course that's just me.
And 4. I noticed you didn't mention GT at all, Now I don't know if that has to do with the possibility that you don't care for it and accept it as part of the franchise because it's non-canon or because you hate it as being on the bandwagon of ignorance, but regardless of one or the other it's still far better then DBS will EVER BE! In terms of Art, Battle choreography, brutality, DB Lore originality, suspense, music OST soundtracks and overall action. So please come to that realization.

Honestly dragon ball z had hella flaws that killed it tbh. Too many plot holes during the android and cell saga. Then after that they just inflated all the character's power levels that it just became ridiculous with majin buu. I think they lost the good plotting from dragon ball and got carried away inflating power levels and introducing transformations

Db super is no where from perfect, there is so many fan service moments such as reintroducing kaioken, evil goku, future trunks and his new form, and vegitto. The writing is all that great and the first 30 episodes are yes retellings of the movies. The whole reason they had to do fanservice is because of the lack of energy the animators and writers had retelling the movies, super had a bad start so they built hype, and now they have an original story, admittedly a tournament but still a different take on it, giving the other characters a different type of development other than them having families and growing up cause all these elitists fans forbid that shit in there "good series", and it's introduced about 100 new characters and a good chunk of them with good designs and interesting powers. And would you mind telling me what a good series is, then check it's ratings to super. And to top it off every arguement in the comments towards a bad super has no arguement it's saying it sucks, then insulting those who don't agree like it proves their point.

Imma explain why DB Super is trash imo... It lacks the substance, tension epicness and grace that DBZ had.
The substance in DBZ was unbelievably good... The characters were not one trick ponies and you could relate to them to some degree... they had funny and realistic personalities that shifted with the circumstances they were in. Goku was childish but not a complete moron. He had a sense of urgency when the situation dictated and a real charecter development through out the entire series. He realizes when he messed up in the cell saga and even in the Majin Buu saga he recognized that Vegetas rivalry with himself was going to have consequences so instead of continuing a fight which Goku obviously would have loved to do, he puts there differences aside and tries to team up with Vegeta. In DB super Goku could care less about anything with the exception of seeing his wife and child murdered. That's the only bit of seriousness you see in the series and of course when it seemed like Master Roshi died did we see a little bit of the original Goku we all know and love.
Don't even get me started on the lack of tension in this series... From the beginning of Z with Radditz coming to earth to the end with Buu being defeated by the spirit bomb, every enemy was a legit threat to the z fighters. You always had that anticipation for the confrontation that would be brutal and tense and you'd be on the edge of your seat with suspense as to what crazy event would take place during the fight. When the Androids arrive, they don't mess around! They go strait to killing multiple innocents without an ounce of remorse right in front of the z fighters, invoking a enraged response from Goku! The scene makes you feel the indignation that the z fighters feel and makes you jump with excitement when Goku clocks 20 right in his ugly face! DB Super never makes you jump with excitement like that... you never feel like there's any real emotions behind any of the fights... there not tension and it almost always feels like nothing's on the line.
In terms of epicness, DBZ can't be beat! When Goku turns into a SS, you literally feel so pumped like you just transformed and are about to kick some sadistic alien tranny ass! When you first meet every villain, you legitimately feel the desperation of the z warriors when they realize how insurmountable the odds are that are stacked against them. When you see characters abandon there previous ideals for the greater good, Its almost magical... When you first meet cell and he's like the boogy man just creeping around and murdering people just to get stronger, Its unsettling and it makes you angry but it's still epic! When cell is brought to his doom by the combined efforts of all the Z fighters, that scenes epicness literally can't be touched by that of any other scene in the entire series. I literally can't think of one epic scene in DB super that made me have chills watching and made me jump out of my seat screaming in excitement like I did when Goku blasted Vegeta's Galic Gun back at him, or when Goku punched Freiza in the gut, or when he angry Kamehamehaed Frieza, or when Vegeta's arm was snapped by 18, or when Vegeta blew up 19, or when Cell got final flashed, or when Gohan turned Super Sayian 2 and punched cell twice and about killed him, or the final beam struggle between Cell and Gohan... the list is endless!
In terms of grace, DB super has really dropped the ball! Every fight In Z had more then a barrage of punches and ki blasts, and they literally use intense animation to emphasize the impact of some of the greatest blows you will ever seen dealt in an anime series. They slow it down to show us just how skilled the fighters are and always used great commentary to give us the true depth of what was going on during the fight. They did it so well and paced the fights in such a way, that you didn't mind watching a fight between Goku and Frieza that lasted 4+ hours. It was so graceful and satisfying to see the tyrant get torn down and defeated! They even used tactics and mental combat to fight there foes! Piccolo was so tactical and strategic and it was always interesting to see how he'd outsmart his opponent! Vegeta was more then a brainless warrior. He always used some cunning trick and verbal judo to gain an advantage when the odds turned against him. It was so interesting to see how the characters didn't only fight with brawn, but would be put in circumstances where they'd have to use there brains to either escape a no win situation, or put there enemy at a disadvantage by taking advantage of there character flaws.
Yes this is a book, but I swear it's true and this doesn't even scratch the surface as to why DB Super will never live up to DBZ. I will debate with anyone who says otherwise... If you took the time to read this all, thank you...
