    Thinking of the tuff stone in Armenia. Soft when removed from the ground, can be carved then hardens as it is exposed to the air.

    If they could brake down the stone at the molecular level it would also look just like vitrification,,, and would not make everything too hot to handle and place. It would explain better than the heat plus area to be heated is immense of all different stone size and shape in Sacsayhuaman, Peru. To heat the huge surface area would require a vast amount of energy to get the job done.
