guitta Dabe - Haha. Glad it helped. You’ll like the Explorer - it’s much more stable than any of these boats and makes for a nice all-round recreation kayak. The quality is very nice. Good luck!!
Mark, I was able to purchase a Cobra Surf Ski (one in the middle) from Texas. I'll be taking it down the Missouri river next year for the MR340 race. Mine is a bit different and wanted to share. I have a very small hatch in the hump, basicly just in front of the "crouch" area. Probably a 3 inch one. Also my cables pass right through that area instead of running down the sides. Not exactly great for that hatch. I assume it was added later so they could maintain the cable system. It also has a place for a skeg in the back but no black cover over it like the one you had/have. No cable holes to hook up the skeg either. I think perhaps mine is an older one as it doesn't match the current offerings on Cobra's website. You are about the only one I've seen deal with these in used trade/sales. any insight to this would be helpful. Thanks, Michael

Hey, RivannaHipSnap. I bought the Surf Ski for personal consumption and then the Viper popped up on CraigsList, so I grabbed that too. The Eliminator was a trade. It's just dumb luck that I had all three, but the opportunity will never come again. Are you the Guy/Gal who was running a rolling class at Nockamixon?

The hole under the hatch is for a rudder. It replaces the over the stern rudder.
