@@illustratingchristy Ironically I only sell one zodiac related sticker lol I sell mostly bullet journaling and reading journal type stickers. I enjoyed IT when I started. I was doing desktop support and installations, but as a major introvert, whenever I had to do phone support I hated it. Plus, the company I worked for was known for doing random layoffs all the time (think 3 letter IT co), so for years and years I felt like everyone was always worried about being on one of those massive layoff lists. Sucked to be honest. I'm only able to do this now because my husband took his IT job with him when we moved. Even though things get tight, I am so much happier now doing something I really enjoy and putting my all into it! So satisfying!! Watching your video, I could feel your excitement, which made me smile :) I wish you the best!!! Oh and I'm on etsy under purplepiscescreation Can't wait to follow you on this journey!

Tips for resin if your gonna try to turn them into miniatures or key chains 1. Mix light glitter and colored ink with resin before pouring, gives more control over color and prevents clumping of glitter 2.layer your resin since your making it space themed make sure your resin is clear and not cloudy or yellow so you can see charms and other items you put in resin, but mak it in layers so for example first layer can be Boba pearls and bottom of straw layer with resin and cure continue prosses till your liking. 3. Make sure there's not alot of air bubble or pockets so before curing pop those bubbles or can cure incorrectly 4. Try try untill you succeed and have fun❤

You got this!! I'm cheering for you so hard and totes turned on that bell! I started my art journey too this past December after working in corp for years. Before Dec I didn't create art for about 4 years and in Jan I challenged myself to a 366-day drawing challenge to shake off the rust, stay consistent with creating daily, and help me plan out shop products and ideas. Today marks day 187 and even though I'm not where I would like to be artistically yet, I am leaps and bounds ahead of where I was in Dec, yay progress ^_^ now if I could only figure out the social media algorithm hahaha

My full time artist friends are dealing with the economic fall out and not getting as much work as they did in the past. Being an artist with a day job gives you the ability to get paid even when art commissions or sales are slow. There are also good tax advantages for artist with day jobs. I have done IT and art for many years and I'm glad that I was able to balance both. Money always comes in even when the art business is slow.
Yes, I've heard that's as well. I don't have any plans to leave my job any time soon. I'm a long way away from that. But I am in a place in my life where I'm finally realizing what I am actually more passionate about. Where that will lead me, I don't know, but I know that I don't want to allocate so much after hour time at my full time job as I have in the past and instead I will invest in myself and my family. I would never do anything that would financially cripple my family as I am the bread winner.
@@illustratingchristy Your Journey as an artist with a day job can lead you to a lot of expansive paths. Think of your job as the very boring but consistent contract client/patron. That regular income and benefits empowers you to pursue the art that you want to make. It will also give you the cushion to see who is loving what you do creatively and who is supporting the work financially. Lots of people will praise the work, too bad it usually is not equal to how many people will commission you or buy your art. When you have base income to handle the expenses in life, you are free of "The struggle being real" money problems. I love creating.... and most artist feel the same.... we got to " Just Do it! As an Aquarius, I don’t think us being an air sign is often shown, it is always water which makes people think we are water signs. It would be cool to see more air based Aquarian designs out there and I plan to have some when I open my own shop
