Hi! In this tutorial I will show you how to make fondant baby shark cake topper! It's easy and you can use this method to make the whole shark family:)
I recommend using modeling paste to make cut out decorations like this one. Modeling paste will not be stretching so much when you cut the shape out of it.

How did it look when you added it onto the cake? Made this and mommy and daddy shark and they look great. I just don’t want them to flop over when I put stick them into the cake, will they be ok to put them straight into a cake or will it need more back support?

thanki you! sugar paste its rather for covering cakes, and modeling paste is for making figurines, but you can add tylose powder to the sugar paste and then you can use it as a modeling paste

Jolene Te Huia unless of course you live in a humid environment like I do. Mine got so sweaty & even started to release water... Thankfully I had a fan heater on hand which I placed over them to dry them overnight

yes, you can, although I find it way harder to cut out precise shapes from a regular fondant than from a modeling paste

I used just an exacto knife, it wasn't a special one for fondant. I got mine from Tchibo store, but it was long time ago
